G abriel

This morning I decided to slip out of the nest early to fix Graham lunch.

It was a dream of mine to prepare meals for my pack and send them off.

I’ve been so preoccupied with enjoying my new life I had forgotten to do this.

Graham, when we first started talking, sent Lydia and I the pack’s work addresses in case we ever needed them.

I’m not entirely sure this is what he had in mind, but he’ll deal with it.

I prepared three different types of sandwiches that included beef, chicken, and pork.

I also added a couple of sides like coleslaw and fries.

I’m sure he would enjoy the food. Finn always prepared his own food and Sorren had mentioned having lunch with a potential script writer.

By the time I finished cooking and putting the food in a lunchbox it was already close to midday.

I grabbed a bag to stuff the food in and headed out after leaving a note for Lydia.

“Hello, I’m looking for Graham.” I called out to the front desk worker. She looked at me with a smile.

“Of course, can I ask who’s asking?” She requested, lifting up the phone in front of her and selecting a few numbers.

“Gabriel, his omega.” I said, feeling proud I could lay claim to him. Surprise flickered through her eyes, but she quickly steeled her expression.

“Sorry to bother you sir, but someone by the name of Gabriel is here. He says he’s your pack’s omega.

Alright I’ll show him up.” She said into the phone.

She quickly hung up the phone and got up.

“Follow me.” She said with a smile. I followed after her, rushing to match her quick pace.

As I trailed after her, I caught a glimpse into one of the meeting rooms and my heart froze.

In two of three chairs was Brett and Logan next to a third man I didn’t recognize.

Rage entered my body. Graham has a lot to explain.

Unbeknownst to the front desk lady, I hid my fury behind a smile as she opened Graham’s office door to let me in .

“What a nice surprise!” Graham called out as he got up from his chair. I waited for the door to close before I threw my bag at him. He caught it in shock.

“What the hell, man! Why the fuck are Brett and Logan in your building!” I yelled out. My hands formed into fists to stop myself from lunging at him. His face softened as he placed my bag on a couch situated next to him. He started to come towards me, but I took a step back.

“Don’t you dare come any closer till you explain to me what the hell is going on.” I warned him. Graham stopped his trek and sighed.

“It would be better to show you.” He told me. My eyes narrowed in confusion.

“What does that mean?” I asked. Graham rubbed his neck and walked past me instead of elaborating. He opened his door and flicked his chin.

“Follow me.” He said with a serious tone. His easy smile was gone from his face. I grimaced but decided to follow after him. We continued the walk till we returned to the meeting room I saw earlier.

“Trust me and let me do the talking.” Graham said quickly before entering the room.

I swallowed the extra saliva that was in the back of my throat before following after him.

I was nervous to be in the same room as my assaulters, but my curiosity and anger spurred me on.

Despite myself, I ended up sitting next to Graham for support.

Regardless of how angry I am at him, I couldn’t lie, he made me feel safe and protected.

I saw his grin widen as I sat next to him and I wanted to smack him.

“It’s nice of you to join us, gentlemen.” Graham said, directing his words toward the three men on the other side of the room. I steeled myself before directing my eyes at the men as well. Brett and Logan's eyes flashed with fear and recognition, but they didn’t say anything.

“Of course! I’m glad you could meet with us.

” The third unknown man said. A fake ass smile was plastered on his face.

“I was certainly surprised when you requested a meeting for cooperation. I wondered what a sports supply company and a watch company would have in common.” The man continued.

I glared at Graham. What is he trying to do?

“Yes, I was thinking the same as well. That’s not actually why I called for this meeting.” Graham explained with a wide grin. The man’s face darkened.

“Why did you call this meeting then?” The man asked, leaning forward.

“Do you know a girl named Lydia?” Graham asked with a wicked smile. The man’s face steeled.

“No, I don’t believe I do.” The man I realized must be Conner retorted.

“That's a curious thing to say considering you used to be her scent matches and are currently stalking her.” Graham said conversationally, like he was talking about the weather. Connor’s mouth tensed.

Graham wanted to confront these alphas in his territory.

Pride and love swelled up in me. I knew I could trust this man to deal with these jerks.

“She’s still our scent match.” Logan growled out. I watched Graham's eyes narrow, but his smile remained.

“Is she now? Last time I checked she had my bite mark on her arm, not yours.” Graham replied offhandedly.

Three growls rang out in the room. My body instinctively tensed till Graham placed his hand on my knee under the table.

“I don’t really care about what delusional world you're living in, but the next time you come near Lydia or my omega, you won’t like it.

” Graham warned with his award winning smile.

All three men narrowed their eyes, but didn’t say anything.

Graham ignored their pointed stares and grabbed my hand, dragging me out of the room.

“Thank you for that, I’m sorry I doubted you.” I told him as we made it back to his office. He patted my head with a real smile on his face.

“It’s okay. I get why you were upset.” He said, kissing me lightly. I blushed slightly at his touch.

“Anyways, I brought you lunch.” I said to distract myself from the heat in my cheeks.

Despite the rough start of the day, Graham and I enjoyed our late lunch before I returned to our home.

I spent the rest of the day napping and lazing around the nest with Lydia till Sorren picked her up for their date.

As I heard the front door close, I did my best not to bounce off the couch.

I spent the entire day trying my best not to let Lydia know about the surprise I was planning for her.

Her birthday was coming up soon, and I was determined to rope our alphas into designing the best birthday for her.

I grabbed the remote and turned off the cooking show Finn and Graham were watching.

“I was watching that,” Finn grumbled. I waved off his complaints as I opened my laptop. Graham raised one of his eyebrows as he watched me.

“This is more important than learning to make a cocktail sauce,” I said. Finn rolled his eyes. “I need help planning Lydia’s birthday.” That got Finn’s attention.

“What are you thinking of doing?” Graham asked. I hummed, trying to think of a good place.

“I’m not sure yet, to be honest. I was hoping you guys had some ideas.

” Finn and Graham offered several suggestions, but none rang out to me.

Bowling alley, theater, sports, nothing felt quite right.

I was about to give up on the topic and switch to something else we needed to decide for her party, but an ad for a bar caught my attention.

I clicked on the link and scrolled through the About Us page and pictures.

I got more and more excited the more I learned about the place.

Feeling confident, I turned my laptop to Graham and Finn.

“It’s a gaming bar. It’s perfect for Lydia.

She doesn’t like overly complicated things or large events, so I considered doing something small.

There's this neat gaming bar we could use. There’s bowling, ice hockey, and enough alcohol to get us all a little tipsy.

” I explained. Graham remained silent as he scrolled through the pictures.

I was starting to worry it wasn’t a good idea when he finally looked back at me.

“I think this would be a good place. It isn’t too big, so we don’t have to worry about a large crowd, and if we call in ahead of time, maybe we can rent the space out.

” Graham said. My eyes widened. I’m sure it would cost a lot of money to convince a business like a bar to let someone rent the whole place out.

“Are you sure about that? We don’t need to rent it out.

Lydia and I will be fine with strangers around.

” I tried to convince them. I would feel guilty about making him pay that much for us.

I felt Graham’s hand grip the back of my neck.

My breath caught as he tightened his grip lightly.

His eyes bore into mine like he could see every part of my soul.

“I don’t want you or Lydia to have to deal with strangers.

I want you both safe, excited, and happy, and if that means that I have to rent out an entire bar to keep both of you relaxed, then I will.

So, omega do you want me to rent the place out for you?

” Graham’s voice had a veil of dominance in it.

My instincts wanted me to appease my alpha partner and tell him the truth.

My thoughts were going back and forth between wanting to tell him how I felt or not.

My reluctance to speak wasn’t out of worry that I would be asking too much, but it's the brat in me not wanting to relent to his order taking.

Graham, sensing a change in my mood, narrowed his eyes.

“Omega, you will answer my question.” He warned. A shiver ran up my spine at how deep his voice had gotten. I’m sure Graham and Finn could smell my scent filling the room.

“What if I don’t want to, Alpha?” I teased. I couldn’t help my snarky grin. I licked my suddenly dry lips.
