Several days have gone by since I had gotten sick.

Everyone was worried about what had caused my cold.

I had to repeatedly reassure them that it was probably because of the changing environment and temperature.

My body didn’t adapt well to environmental changes, so I frequently became sick for a while when I moved to a new place.

Since I had only just recovered from my cold, all three men tried cocooning me in as many layers as possible before we headed out.

Gabriel had overheard Sorren and Graham talk about a hockey game they would play in.

Gabriel being a sucker for men in sports uniforms, especially hockey players, begged them to let us watch.

They were unsure about it after my cold, but Gabriel managed to convince them.

“I’m telling you, I have plenty of layers on,” I groaned as Finn asked me for the fifth time if I was warm enough.

We had just gotten to the stadium where Sorren and Graham would be playing.

Graham’s company sponsored this game to raise money for local boys’ schools.

The cash, from what Graham mentioned, was going towards scholarships and sports equipment for future athletes.

I felt proud that one of the alphas of our pack supported other people with the money he earned and did not just keep it for himself.

“I just want to make sure. If you get tired or start to feel sick, let me know, and we’ll leave.

” Finn continued. I wanted to groan again at his coddling.

I had gotten used to being around this pack since I had gotten sick.

I still didn’t completely trust them, but I could tell they were good people.

Gabriel laughed at my reaction. I glared at him playfully.

Since the night we spent cuddling in the nest, Sorren and Finn have gotten more confident about touching me.

It wasn't like a sexual kind of way, but they would brush their hands against my arms or play with my hair. Over the past few days, Graham had taken up the mantle of bringing medicine and food to the nest while I recovered. A small part of me felt rejected because he hadn’t stayed, but at the same time, I just felt so nervous around him that it was hard to be honest about what I wanted.

Sorren felt comfortable and easy. I could tease or play with him, and he’d give it right back.

Finn was comfortable in a whole different way.

He worried like a mother hen but didn’t shy away from my jokes or teasing.

He looked after Gabriel and me and kept us from getting hurt, but at the same time, he didn’t stop us from doing something.

He was there for the ride. Graham was a mystery.

I didn't know how to approach or handle him in a way that could coax a smile or chuckle out of him. Gabriel seemed to get along with him easily enough, but it was a skill I hadn’t mastered yet.

An alarm indicating the start of the game brought my attention to the ice rink. Gabriel’s eyes were transfixed on Sorren and Graham as they warmed up. If it wasn’t for the fact that he was wearing scent blockers, I’m sure the entire arena would have noticed.

“There they go,” Finn said as we watched them play.

I didn’t know much about hockey, but I watched Finn and Gabriel yell when something happened.

I mainly enjoyed the energy that filled the room.

I primarily focused on the goalies, seeing them catch or miss the puck.

As I watched the game, a question formed in my mind.

“Why aren’t you playing with them?” I asked Finn. I looked over his body; he looked fit enough to keep up. An emotion I couldn’t quite place flashed through his eyes. Vulnerability showed through his eyes as he focused on my face. Gabriel had gone quiet now, probably to hear the answer as well.

“I don’t like the uniforms. They feel too tight on me. It’s the same for most sports outfits.” He commented. I didn’t get why he was anxious about telling us this, but I wasn’t going to make him feel bad about it at the same time.

“I can understand that,” I said. I felt the same way about tight-fitting clothes.

They always made me feel anxious. We returned our attention to the game when someone apparently scored a point.

Sorren, I think, was the team's goalie. He was really good at stopping the puck from getting into the goal.

I could have sworn he pointed at us a few times when he managed to keep the puck from entering the net.

Each time he did so, the crowd would shout at his display.

Graham was easily the best scorer of the team.

Most of the goals they made were because of Graham.

From what I could gather, he was aggressive and quick.

Gabriel and Finn returned to yelling at the players while I remained silent and watchful.

Ultimately, the game ended in Sorren and Graham’s team's victory. There was a lot of shouting and celebrating happening after the game was over. Finn did his best to escort us through the crowd of excited fans and into the hallway. We waited for Sorren and Graham to change. Most of the team had left when Graham and Sorren exited the room. Once both of them were in the hallway, Gabriel pounced on Sorren. Gabriel wrapped his arms around Sorren’s neck and pulled him down to reach his face.

Before Sorren could understand what was going on, Gabriel had him in a deep kiss.

Several seconds passed before Sorren caught up to what was happening and moved his hand to pull Gabriel deeper into the kiss .

Gabriel’s scent filled the nearly empty hallway. The descenter had apparently stopped being effective. All three alphas growled at the smell, and their eyes darkened. Sorren, catching the hint, finally pulled away from Gabriel. His eyes had a haze to them, and his lips seemed plumper than before.

“All right, enough of that. Don’t want to get arrested for public indecency.” Sorren said as he rubbed his nose against Gabriel’s nose.

“Maybe I like a little indecency when it comes to food,” Gabriel said with a husky tone. Sorren threw this head back in laughter.

“Still on that, I see,” Sorren said, giving Gabriel another light kiss. Finn and Graham looked at each other in confusion, but nobody tried to explain the joke.

“Are you feeling okay?” Sorren asked as he looked in my direction. He was still holding Gabriel loosely around his waist. I nodded.

“I’m feeling fine,” I replied. Sorren stared at me for a minute before speaking again.

“Good, can't have you love sick again. Don’t know if you’ll survive getting it a second time.

” He said, winking at me. I rolled my eyes at his poor joke.

I could feel my face redden at the thought of how I acted so touchy feely with them all.

I tried not to glance at Graham. I couldn’t explain why I felt disappointed he wasn’t in the room when I woke up, but I did.

Despite myself, I caught myself looking in his direction.

He moved his sleeve out of the way to look at his watch.

I looked away quickly before he noticed my gaze and noticed Gabriel looking at me.

I was about to say something, but Graham spoke first.

“It's late. Let’s go out for dinner.” He said, looking at all of us.

We all agreed. After a few words with Graham regarding the location, Finn got on his motorcycle and left.

Gabriel quickly gave Finn a kiss, which Finn deepened before heading off.

Sorren sat in the passenger seat while Graham took over the driver's seat. Graham had walked here from work, so he didn’t have to worry about another vehicle.

Gabriel sat in the back with me next to the window and him in the middle.

It didn’t take long before we arrived at the location.

I noticed a sign as we exited the car and regrouped in the parking lot with Finn.

“Gab, Gab! They have line dancing!” I said excitedly, pulling him by his collar to look at the sign.

He skimmed the sign with a large grin. He turned to me, matching my excitement.

Corretta loved ballroom dancing and was talented; however, I was obsessed with line dancing.

I lived in a small town when I was younger.

It had very little in the way of entertainment.

Line dancing was the only thing that kept me from dying of boredom.

I spent most of my teenage years perfecting it.

“What are you two troublemakers doing?” Sorren asked where he and the other two were talking .

“Nothing,” Gabriel said quickly, giving me a knowing look. I pretended to close the zipper on my lips. Finn’s eyes narrowed.

“Sure. Let’s go ahead and get inside. I’m starving.

” Finn said as he continued to watch us.

Gabriel and I kept our innocent smiles firmly in place.

The inside of the building was impressive.

There were several pictures of the history of the place, and a few mounted animals hung on the walls.

On one side of the building was a dedicated dancing area where several people moved to a song.

My eyes were instantly drawn to the dance floor.

I was itching to participate, but I needed food first. Gabriel and I had slept so long that we didn’t get a chance to eat before we left.

We sat around a round table that gave us an excellent view of the dance floor, much to my delight.

Gabriel and I sat on the inside of the table.

Finn and Sorren sat on each of our sides, boxing us in.

Finn sat next to Gabriel, while Sorren sat next to me. Graham was seated across from us.
