Tiana
"Babe, I-" I started but stopped as my lip trembled because of the look on his face. I just knew he was going to leave me.
Everybody in the room was now looking over at us and I knew things were about to go left quick.
"Come upstairs, Tiana." Dom spoke sternly, standing to his feet before I stretched my legs out and did the same.
"Mind y'all business." Dej told everybody as Dom and I made our way up the staircase.
When we reached the top of the steps, he walked into his room first and I slowly followed behind. My heart felt as if it was beating out of my chest. I couldn't believe I was in this deep.
Cheating was just not worth it. No matter the reason.
Standing by the door, I watched as he took a seat at the edge of the bed and looked at me with serious eyes.
"Tell me what's up, Tiana." He spoke sternly, looking directly at me with every word.
"For real this time."
"Babe, listen..."
"I really just don't know how to tell you." I blurted out.
"I really don't want to tell you." I admitted and he kissed his teeth with his tongue standing to his feet.
"I'm just going to go home, okay?" I tried to open the door but he quickly came over to me, slamming it closed.
"T." He closed his eyes, slightly moving me out of the way and putting his back against the door.
"Just tell me what's up yo." He went on as I looked down at the floor, scared for the next events that were about to take place.
"What the fuck is you scared of?" He spat, obviously tired of my childish games while I stood there silent.
"Your reaction."
"My reaction to what, baby? Damn. Just tell me." He spoke, fed up.
Standing there for a while longer, I picked my brain for how I was about to tell him. I just needed him to know that I was forced to do this. It wasn't because I wanted to.
Holding out my hand, he grabbed it and gently pulled me to him.
"Talk to me, baby." He pleaded as he left small kisses on my cheek. My hands then began to roam as I slid them toward the front of his pants, gently grabbing the gun that was placed there.
"Whatchu doin'?" He quickly pulled away from me as I pulled it out of his pants and sat it on the bed away from us.
"I don't want you to have it when I tell you this." I admitted to him and he looked dead in my eyes.
"What the fuck did you do, Tiana?" He asked serious now and I tucked my lips, looking down.
Before I could get a word out, I broke down again unexpectedly. I could not do this. I couldn't hurt him. I couldn't hurt us.
Sighing deeply, he looked down, biting his bottom lip.
"Tiana." He called as I cried hard, walking to the other side of the room.
"Baby, don't run from me."
"Come here." He told me, dusting his hands off before coming over to where I was.
I looked up into his eyes as tears fell from mine, I knew that this would end badly but I was prolonging it because I really couldn't do this.
"Look, T. I don't know what the fuck gon' on' but whatever it is.." He trailed off.
"I'd never hurt you or even go there witcha like that." He expressed, looking over to the gun on the bed.
"For you to just take my gun out my pants let me know that this shit serious and I really need to hear that because na' my mind all over the place, baby."
"And I don't want to start thinkin' or accusing you of shit because we both know that's dangerous." He went on, making me look down.
"Na' tell me what's up with you." He said again for the final time and I took a deep breath.
Staying silent, I placed my hands on both sides of his face as I leaned in to kiss his lips. I deepened the kiss, pushing my tongue into his mouth, making him groan.
"T." He tried to pull away but I didn't let up. I continued kissing him as he wrapped his arms around my waist.
This was the only way I could build myself up to tell him. I needed to know that he would still love me.
Moaning, I guided us back to the bed, falling onto my back as he stood up straight.
"I wan' fuck on you, T."
"I really do." He stressed bluntly and I nodded, hoping that he would so that I could buy myself some more time.
"But I'm not gon' to until you tell me what's up with you."
"I ain't crazy and you know that shit." He spoke sternly, looking down at me.
"You tryn' make me fuck you so you ain't gotta talk but you gon' talk tonight." He scoffed, stepping away from me and removing the gun from the bed.
I watched as he took it into his closet and stashed it away somewhere. And I sat there realizing that this was it. He was on to me and he wasn't going to let it go. Plus I'm sure Dej wouldn't let this live passed tonight, it was over for me.
Biting my lip as he made his way back over to me, I looked up at him while he stood there.
"Talk to me before I get out of character with you, Tiana." He threatened, looking away from me.
"I'm really tryna keep my composure with you but you pullin' bullshit right na'. Especially with that dumb shit you just tried to do."
"Okay. Okay." I looked down, breathing heavily as he stood there waiting.
"Remember earlier when I told you my mom doesn't want us together?" I began to speak, building myself up.
"Yeah." He nodded, listening intently.
"Well she told me that I needed to break up with you and that if I didn't she wasn't going to pay my tuition for this last semester. Meaning, I wouldn't be able to graduate."
"What?" He spat, furrowing his eyebrows and I nodded slowly while I looked up at him.
"So she ain't tryna let you graduate because you with me?" He scoffed, shaking his head.
"Well-"
"Your moms petty as shit, T." He walked away from me, pacing the floor.
"But that's not it, ba-"
"Na' fuck it. I'a pay." He spat, looking over to me.
"Bitch don't wan' pay for you to graduate I'a do it myself. I don't give a fuck if I gotta hit the block everyday, every night."
"You graduatin' and that's it!" He spat angrily and I couldn't help but to cry because just like that he'd came up with a solution to fix my problem and here I was doing the absolute most. Cheating for nothing.
"You ain't gotta cry, baby. I ain't gon' nowhere." He tried to grab me and I shook my head, crying in my hands.
"I already told you that."
"No." I sobbed, pushing him away.
"That's not all." I went on and he furrowed his eyebrows, finally sitting down beside me.
"Aight. Go ahead, I'm listenin' ma."
Sniffing, I looked over to him as he pulled me closer, using the pads of his thumbs to wipe my tears.
"When she told me that she wasn't going to pay if I didn't leave you, I begged her not to be that way. I begged her." I explained and he nodded slowly.
"So she ended up giving me an ultimatum."
"She told me the only way she would continue to pay is if I left you and.." I trailed off, looking at him as he waited and listened.
I knew I was about to hurt him.
"If you left me and what, T?" He spoke sternly and my lip trembled, not able to hold on any longer.
"Baby, I cheated on you."
