Page 5 of Her Loyalty
"Tiana, why are you late? I told you to be home by four o'clock to help me set up."
"I told Connor to tell you guys I was held up at a friend's." I rolled my eyes, looking over to Connor, who was currently turning red from embarrassment.
"Stop that disgusting rolling of your eyes." She demanded.
"And who is this friend anyway?" She eyed me and my attire as I looked away from her.
"A friend from school." I lied through my teeth and she nodded slowly.
"Very well. Go upstairs and freshen up. We'll get the table set."
"Connor's parents will be here any minute." She said and I nodded, making my way out of the kitchen and the hot seat.
Making my way upstairs, I walked up to my room and dropped all of my things onto the floor. I sat down on my bed, reminiscing about being with Dom.
I missed him already and I was ready to go back.
Deciding I would call him, I grabbed my jacket and looked into my pockets, not feeling my phone anywhere.
"What the-" I stopped all together, thinking of the last time I'd had it.
"Shit." I facepalmed myself, remembering I'd sat it down in the bathroom back at Dom's place.
"Oh my god." I panicked, standing to my feet and grabbing my car keys.
I had to go and get it before he went through it and saw something that I knew he wouldn't like. I couldn't risk it.
Dashing out of my room, I made my way back downstairs and into the kitchen.
"I have to go. I left my phone over at Stephanie's." I said, making up any name as I walked into the kitchen.
"What? My parents will be here any minute." Connor bitched and I cut my eye at him.
"Well, I left my phone. I'll be back." I fussed as my mother looked over to me.
"It's only a phone, you can do without for the night."
"Um, no I can not." I talked back, not even about to play on the fact that Dom could easily find out that I was cheating on him tonight. No way.
"I know you are not talking back to me young lady, you need to watch your mouth and the way that you're talking to Connor. He's been nothing but nice to you."
"Sorry, mom and Sorry, Connor." I shook my head in disappointment at my actions, simply just ready to get out of here.
"But I really really need to get my phone. It's important." I expressed and I listened to Connor scoff as my mother simply shook her head.
"Fine but make it quick, Tiana. We don't have all night."
"What? She can't go. My parents want to meet her."
"Connor it's fine." My mother calmed him as I shook my head.
"Well at least make it quick. I'm going to call you when they arrive." He went onto say and that did nothing but light a fire under my ass.
Leaving quickly out of the kitchen, I made my way outside and unlock my car doors. I got in, slamming my door behind me as I crunk up and pulled out of the drive way.
My mind was clouded but I knew I needed to get over to Dom's quick. I didn't need him going through my phone and finding anything. That was the last thing I needed.
* Dom 10 minutes later
"Yo, Dom." Piro called, standing on the corner again as I walked up to him.
"What's good witcha?" I dapped him up before he pulled out some money.
"Got that weed?" He asked and I nodded, discreetly, making the exchange as he smiled a toothy smile.
"Thanks man and oh yeah, I apologize about earlier.." He trailed off.
"I ain't never meant to disrespect your crib or your sister like that." He went on and I waved him off, walking away.
"Yeah, just don't ever come by my crib again, nigga."
"Might get your face blown off the next time." I joked, making my way back to the block.
As I did, I felt Tiana's phone buzzing in my pocket for what felt like the hundredth time tonight.
The contact name was under Don't Answer so I figured it was her moms or something but for them to still be calling was doing something to me because by now she'd be home with her moms. So it no longer made sense to me.
Chuckling to myself, I tried my hardest not to think the worst. From my sister acting weird to T being distant these passed couple of days, I could feel that some shit was going on but me being the solid nigga I am, I held it down and kept my composure.
I ain't have to step out of character, shit would come to light no matter what. And T knew what it was between us, she know the type of nigga I am.
"Yo, Dom. I heard you got that good shit." Somebody called, breaking me away from my thoughts.
"Who that?" I looked back, still making my way up my block.
"Pete, nigga." He said as I stopped in my tracks, seeing the homie, Pete, come around the corner.
"In the flesh."
"Aw shit, what's up with you?" I dapped him proudly once he made his way over to me.
"Shit. Been chilling in the cut.." He trailed off.
"Gotta stay low these days, it been hot on the block lately."
"Yeah?" I asked, looking back at a car pulling up directly in front of my crib.
"Yeah, man."
"You got that stuff though?" He asked and I stood there, looking at him.
"Depends. You got dough.?" I trailed off and he smacked his lips, pulling out a few stacks.
"I need all of that." He went onto say and I patted my pockets, looking back.
"Shit." I spat, seeing T get out of her car and looking directly at me.
"Hol' on." I told him, making my way over to her.
"What's up, ma? Whatchu doing back down here?" I asked, pulling her to me, leaving small kisses on her neck.
"Hey." She smiled small, slowly pulling away.
"I just came to get my phone, I think I left it in the bathroom." She went onto say and I stood there, looking at her.
She really came back just for this phone . Was I all I could think. Shit was that important to her but if I would've asked her to come back for me, I would've got all types of excuses.
"What are you doing?" She went onto ask, looking behind me at Pete.
"Nun'. About to handle some business real quick. Wait in the house for me?" I asked and she eyed me for a while before walking away into the house.
Sighing deeply, I made my way back over to Pete, taking the money and giving him the small bags of weed.
"Aw damn. That was T?" He asked and I said nothing, sliding the money in my pocket.
"Don't worry about it." I said simply before dipping off, making my way back to the spot.
I could feel it in me as I walked back to the house. I just knew it was about to be some shit with her so I mentally prepared myself for it.
It was inevitable.

Tiana
I watched as Dom walked into the house and I couldn't help to roll my eyes at him.
"What were you just doing?" I asked him as he closed the door behind him and plopped down on the other couch across from me.
"I told you I was handlin' business, Tiana. You know what that mean." He spoke his raspy voice, now counting all of the money he'd obviously just made.
"Oh okay." I simply nodded, standing to my feet.
"Give me my phone so that I can go." I demanded and he scoffed, looking up at me.
"That's all you came over here for'?" He spat, looking at me with angry eyes. I could tell he was getting mad with me but I was already mad with him so I didn't give a damn about his anger.
I hated that he was a drug dealer and he knew it. Yes, he had to make money but this was a part of reasonings why my mother didn't want us together in the first place. Part of reason why I had to go through all of this, just for us to be together. And here he is, acting as if he doesn't even care.
"Yes, I have to get back home. My mom only let me come out so that I could get my phone."
"Right but if I would've asked you to come and see me, you would've never came." He shook his head, throwing all of the money into his lap as he dug into his pocket, pulling out my phone.
"Take that shit." He threw it on the glass coffee table, now just being disrespectful.
"Oh, so you want to be disrespectful today?" I asked, jolting my back at his actions.
"I ain't being disrespectful." He defended.
"Yes, you are. First it's the drugs in front of me, now you're throwing things?"
"I ain't sell no fuckin' drugs in front of you." He spat, glaring at me as his nose flared.
"Don't start this dumb ass shit tonight, T."
"I really ain't even tryna hear that." He went on, wrapping his money in rubber bands and I simply nodded my head.
"Okay. Goodbye." I said to him, grabbing my phone off of the table before making my way to the door as he sat there fuming.
"Just know that if you hiding some shit, it's gon' be a fuckin' problem." He spat, shoving the money into his pockets.
"For you and whoever else.."
"You already know what's up with me." He threatened and I scoffed.
"Are you serious? Hiding what, Dominic? What are you even talking about right now?" I spat back to him, guiltily.
"You heard what I said to you, T. You came all the way back over here for that phone but you ain't even acknowledging me. Your nigga." He slapped his chest, looking at me.
"What do you want me to do? I have to get back home."
"I ain't tryna hear that shit, man. Any other time, you all over a nigga but now it's all about that phone."
"Oh okay. You're feeling a little insecure right now so I'm going to give your space."
"Because obviously if I'm not jumping on your dick the second I'm with you then I don't love you and I only care about the phone that I use to communicate with your dumb ass." I spat to him.
"Don't try to flip this shit on me. I ain't worried about no sex and I ain't worried about no affection. I just want you to acknowledge me!"
"You came over here strictly for that phone. That shit could've waited yo."
"Then you catch an attitude and try to leave." He scoffed.
"Because you're selling drugs in front of me when you know I don't like that at all."
"And I'd never do that shit in front of you, on purpose. Never, you know that."
"But you just popped up, how was I supposed to know you was gon' pull up tonight for that dumb ass phone."
"And somebody still steady blowing your shit up. I ain't fuckin' crazy!" He went on as my phone vibrated again in my hands.
"No, you are." I nodded my head as he watched me.
"You are crazy, if you're sitting there trying to accuse me right now."
"I ain't accusin' you of shit. I'm just telling you like it is but you already know how I get down." He bucked and I shook my head at him.
"Whatever, Dominic. Bye. I'll see you whenever." I spat to him, opening the front door.
"Right.."
"Came all the way down here for that fuckin' phone but would've never did no shit like that for me." He continued.
"You don't fuckin' care about me." He spat and I stopped in my tracks because it triggered me.
"Are you serious right now?" I asked before bursting into tears. I was doing so much behind closed doors, just for us to be together and he had the nerve to tell me that I didn't care about him.
"You don't know how much I go through for you and you have the nerve to accuse me of stuff and tell me I don't care about you?"
"Really?" I went on, bawling.
"T, chill out. It ain't even that deep. You ain't gotta cry."
"No, fuck you!" I spat, wiping my tears as he licked his lips, looking away from me.
"You gon' say fuck me?" He asked as I stood there, trying to get myself together. This was only partially his fault but I was simply taking everything out on him. I was sick of living life like this.
"Yes, fuck you, Dominic. I'm so done with this." I raged, just mad at the world.
"Yeah aight." He scoffed.
"Go ahead home before I get out of character with you, T." He flagged me off, making his way up the staircase.
"I ain't even tryna go there with you, probably just need some dick or something."
"I'a call you when you cool off."
"Fuck you!" I yelled again, leaving out of the front door.
