Tiana Next morning

"Yo, T. You hungry?" Dominic called from the kitchen as I scrolled my phone looking at apartment listings.

"A little bit." I said back to him, not taking my eyes off of my phone.

"Whatchu want to eat, ma?" He asked as he came into the living room, plopping down onto the couch beside me.

"I don't know." I finally took my eyes off of my phone, looking over to him. He pulled me over to him, letting me lay my head on his shoulder as I sighed deeply. Simply enjoying my time with him.

Though we did have a squabble earlier once he called the girl he'd promised to call, letting her know that he was no longer messing around with her.

He ended up having to send Deja to beat the girl's ass since she was being disrespectful about the whole thing, claiming that I was hoe and that he could do better.

Typical bird behavior.

"Stop." Dom spoke up, breaking my away from my thoughts.

"What?" I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Thinkin' about shit that's gon' stress you out, Tiana. What I tell you about that?" He asked, making me smile. He was beginning to sound like the old him more and more these days and I couldn't be happier.

We were slowly getting over the cheating obstacle and building a much stronger bond this time around. I was actually starting to think we needed these problems. They were obviously only making us better.

"I love you." I blurted out and he smirked, looking down.

"So much, Dominic."

"I know me cheating on you messed you up but I'm going to do everything I can to get us back on track, okay?" I asked, feeling myself becoming emotional.

He was such a good man to me.

"Tiana, Shh." He shushed me, making me look at him.

"I love you too, Aight?" He said and I smiled small.

"And when I told you I wan' make this work that meant leaving all that other dumb ass shit in the past. We're leavin' it in the past na'."

"Aight?" He asked and I nodded slowly.

"I don't wan' hear no more about that shit or this shit that went down today. Shit don't matter no more. It happened na' it's over."

"Okay." I spoke softly.

"Aight. Na' just chill out, baby." He said, making me raise my eyebrows.

"Baby?" I asked in a joking tone, surprised he'd called me that. He hadn't called me that since we broke up months ago.

"Man.." He chuckled, standing to his feet as I watched him in amusement.

"Don't get too happy, you still just one of my little ho-." He started but stopped, making me punch him in the butt.

"Watch your fuckin' hands." He got serious, making me laugh. He did not like his butt touched.

"Then watch your filthy mouth."

"And go make my food." I demanded and he scoffed, doing as told.

After about twenty minutes, the food was done and we were now sitting at the dining room table.

"Gon' home today?" He asked and I nodded.

"Do you want me to?" I asked, looking down at my plate.

"Na' not really.."

"Well I'm only going because I have to get out of these clothes and I need to finish apartment hunting." I explained to him and he looked down at his plate, scooping more food into his mouth.

"Oh aight. So you comin' back tonight?"

"Yeah, I'll be back later. I just really need to get this apartment stuff done."

"Because It's getting harder and harder. Plus I still have to find a good paying job that will support me, my mom already told me that she's only paying for my first year's rent then after that I'm on my own." I sighed deeply and he nodded.

"I feel you, ma. I know you gon' find something."

"Where you thinking about movin' to?" He went onto ask and I shrugged.

"I don't know yet but somewhere closer to here definitely." I admitted, considering my current house was already far enough. I didn't want to move some where farther, I wanted to be closer to him. I mean, considering the fact that I'm here almost everyday.

"Oh so you wun' be close to a nigga?" He smirked, making me smack my lips.

"Bye, Dominic." I couldn't help but to laugh.

"It's not always about you." I went on, making him laugh.

"Oh yeah?"

"No."

"It's always about you though." He looked up into my eyes seriously. I smiled small, looking down. He was being so cute today and I couldn't take it. He was making me fall deeper in love with him and we weren't even boyfriend and girlfriend anymore.

This was only making me more impatient when it came to him being mine again.

"You ain't gotta be ashamed though. You just wun' be closer to me." He looked down, joking again.

"You love a nigga, admit it."

"Well yeah, I do." I nodded, looking up into his eyes.

"I really do." I smiled small, looking back down once he smiled.

* That night

"Hey, y'all. Can y'all tell Dom that I'll be up in his room?" I asked as I walked up onto the porch seeing Deja, Leek and Zay while Dom was down the block talking to someone.

"Aight. We got you." They all spoke up and I nodded, walking into the the house. I then made my way upstairs to his room and waited for him to get back.

About five minutes later, he'd finally came back and I could hear him downstairs through the crack of his room's door.

"Tiana here?" He asked someone and they must've nodded because he was now making his up the staircase.

"T?" He called, walking into the room.

"Hey." I smiled, standing to my feet as he pulled me in for a hug.

"Why you ain't tell me you was on your way over?" He asked and I shrugged once we let each other go.

"I wanted to surprise you."

"Even though I told you earlier I was coming back." I slapped his arm playfully.

"Na' I knew you was coming back, I just didn't know when. I was waiting on you all day if I'm being honest." He flirted, looking down at me before wrapping his arm around my waist.

"Really?" I asked and he nodded.

"Well I cant lie, I was anticipating getting back over here too. I missed you." I wrapped my arms around his neck and he couldn't help but to smile.

"I missed you more, T."

"You make a nigga feel empty when you gone." He expressed and I looked down, feeling myself becoming emotional again. He had such a way with his words when he expressed himself.

"Come on. Don't cry, ma." He chuckled while I laid my head against his chest, inhaling his signature scent.

"Its you." I whined to him. He said some of the sweetest things sometimes and he didn't even understand how much of an effect his words had on me. They meant so much.

"I'm sorry, Tiana." He sighed deeply as I looked up into his eyes again.

"A nigga just love being in love with you and not being able to love you all them long months got it all coming' out na'." He went on, making me burst into tears.

"Aight aight." He laughed, bending down to kiss my lips before he pulled away from me. I continued to cry softly, poking my lip out while I looked up at him.

"Aight, T. I'm sorry, stop cryin'."

"I know. I know. It's just-" I started but stopped as I sat down on the edge of his bed, wiping my face clear of tears.

"I love you, Dominic." I admitted while he looked down at me, listening to my words intently.

"You make my day better, no matter what we're going through. Just being in your presence makes me happy.."

"..and then your words, babe."

"I mean, Dom." I corrected, wiping my face.

"Yo." He spoke sternly, making me quickly look up at him with a nervous look on my face.

"What you said was right the first time. Na' say my fuckin' name right." He demanded and I raised my eyebrows.

"Babe?" I said to him and he nodded.

"And that's all I better hear you call me from this day on."

"We workin' on us meaning you gon' be mine again one day so I want to be treated like it."

"And I'm gon' make sure everyday I'm doing the same."

"The past is over with, we movin' onto better." He spoke sternly, grabbing my hand and helping me up.

"Aight? I love you, baby."

"I love you too."

"Aight na' give me a kiss." He leaned down, putting his lips directly in front of mine. I leaned up and pecked his lips, doing it twice before he pecked mine back.

"Na' stop all that crying."
