Page 30 of Her Loyalty
Song in the MM.
Yeah you know what this is. You granted all my wishes.
And damn it I'm gon miss it if we fade away.
I don't wanna be down, Lovin' you I have found.
Girl I want you around, Always...
Don't you believe that. Nobody needs you 'cause I do.
I need all of you baby
If you can see that. Nobody needs you like I do.
I need all of you baby
"Anytime I'm, needin' someone, I think of you for comfort. Can you feel me?" Dom sang as we sat in his car.
"Anytime you're, feelin' down or, need a friend for comfort. Can you feel me?" He went on, making me laugh.
"Stooop." I whined playfully.
"Na' look, this the best part." He turned the radio up on full blast, getting into my face.
"Oh.."
"Ain't no need for frontin'. Babygirl, I believe in everything you do and shorty know this, you play a real big part in, keepin' me on my feet and I love you so much, I won't blow this." He allowed the song to play as he looked into my eyes. He then leaned in to kiss my lips.
"Nobody needs you like I do, I need all of you baby." He softly grabbed my chin, kissing me again. I couldn't help but to bite my lip to keep it from trembling as he pulled away.
"Dominic, please stop." I begged seriously, not wanting to mess up my makeup.
"Aight. I'm sorry, ma." He said, turning the radio back down and letting the song play softly in the background.
"I just love you, T. And I'm glad we gave this shit another try." He admitted, looking over to me.
"A nigga feel like he on cloud 9 right na' sitting here witcha and I ain't even smoke this blunt yet." He chuckled, grabbing the cherry backwood packet out of the cup holder. And though he was joking around, I knew he meant his words.
"Me too." I expressed as he put the wrap in between his lips. He then held his hand out and I softly grabbed it, intertwining our fingers. Removing the wrap from his mouth, he then leaned down a bit and kissed the back of my hand.
"You ready to ride out?" He asked, putting the wrap behind his ear and I nodded happily.
Him and I were simply spending time with each other today. He was going to drive us around, completing his manly errands and then we were going out on a date tonight. And he'd planned this all so I wasn't sure exactly where we were going but I wasn't going to question it either.
"Aight, put your seatbelt on." He told me and I did as told.

15 minutes later
"Aye, baby. I'm about to pull up on some of my niggas real quick. Aight?" He asked and I nodded slowly, looking away from my phone.
We were now pulling up on a small block, a couple blocks over from his. There were a bunch of guys outside, standing on the corner. They all looked over to Dom's car as he pulled up, considering he was blasting his music loudly.
"Aye, what's up, nigga?" One of them spoke with a smile as Dominic leaned out of the window.
"What's up with you, nigga?" He spoke happily, parking his car up on the curb.
A few seconds later, he leaned over to me and poked his lips up before I leaned down and pecked him.
"I'a be right back." He told me and I nodded in agreement as he got out of the car, slamming the door closed.
Now fully alert, I dropped my phone and looked around at everything that was happening around me.
I listened as the guys fully embraced Dom, talking loudly over the music that was playing in the car.
While some guys played basketball in the middle of the street and a group of young girls played double dutch right beside them.
"What's up, nigga? Where you been?" I heard a guy asked Dom as I reverted my attention back to them.
"Shit. Gettin' to this paper as always."
"I feel you, lil nigga. I been out here on the same thing." The guy expressed, bending down to look in the car.
"Hold up, this your lady?" He asked excitedly and I smiled awkwardly as he analyzed my face.
"Hey." I waved as Dom laughed.
"Yeah, that's my baby." He told him and I couldn't help but to get excited hearing those words.
"T, this my bitch ass uncle Snake. You met him a while ago."
"Oh yeah, I remember now." I quickly remembered him from Dom and I's prom night back in high school.
"Damn." His uncle went on, still looking at me and I smiled shyly.
"Aight, nigga. Fall back." Dom pushed him away from the car and I couldn't help but to laugh.
Moments later, we were still here and I watched closely as Dom mingled with the rest of the hundred guys that were standing out here.
I was simply enjoying it, I liked seeing him excited to be around friends and family.
And though he was mingling, he kept a strict eye out on me while I sat in the car, he was out there watching like a hawk.
"Aye, little mama. You hungry? We grillin' out back." One of the guys came up to the car and asked me and I shyly shook my head no.
"You sure? Dom told me to ask you." He went on and I looked over to Dom who nodded his head.
"No, thank you. I'm not hungry." I lied and he nodded before walking away.
After a few more minutes went by, Dom ended up coming back to the car and he got in half way.
"You good?" He asked me, leaving his door opened as he leaned over to kiss my cheek.
"Yeah, I'm okay." I nodded with a smile and he looked into my eyes.
"Aight, I'm about to grab some food real quick, then we gon' leave."
"Okay."
"You sure you ain't hungry?" He asked and I slowly shook my head no.
"T." He slanted his lips.
"What?" I asked with a smile.
"Don't start that shy shit. If you hungry, I'a get it for you. Just tell me, baby."
"Okay, fine. I just want a hot dog though." I finally admitted and he couldn't help but to laugh.
"Aight, punk."
* 6am Next morning
Sitting in the living room, I watched as Dom came in and out of the house sporadically.
He was simply handling business this morning and I could no longer sleep, so here I was up.
Usually I would feel away about "business" but he wasn't doing it in front of me so I didn't mind.
Plus he want expecting me to be up this early so I wouldn't fault him for his timing.
I'd just asked if he could hurry up though so he could tend to my sick self.
"What's up, T?" Deja spoke as she came down the stairs, pulling me out of my thoughts.
"Oh, hey." I spoke unsure like since she and I still weren't on the best of terms. We remained cordial though, enough to be in the same spaces at the same time.
"How are you?" She asked, plopping down on the opposite couch while I raised my eyebrows.
"Oh, I'm fine. Just feeling a little queasy." I admitted, considering I'd been throwing up the entire morning.
"I know I heard you earlier in the bathroom. You good?" She asked and I nodded.
"Yeah. It must've been that food we ate last night." I told her, looking down at my hands.
Dom and I ended up going to a restaurant last night and he wined and dined me until I couldn't eat anymore. So I figured all of that eating finally got the best of me this morning.
"Yeah?" She asked, making me look up at her.
"Yeah.."
"Okay." She dismissed it, standing to her feet. I then watched as she walked out of the door.
As she did, my mind wandered, remembering that my period was late again for the second time in two months.
Fuck .
"Deja." I called since she'd left the front door opened.
"Yeah?" She asked, peeking in and I slowly motioned for her to come to me.
When she did, she sat down on the couch beside me as I took a deep breath and looked down at my hands.
"I think I might.." I trailed off, collecting my words.
"I think I might be-"
"Pregnant." She blurted, making me quickly look up.
"Right?" She asked, making me narrow my eyes.
"What made you ask that?" I couldn't help but to ask.
"The way you was throwing up this morning."
"Are you?" She asked, making me look down.
"Well I'm not sure if I am but I think I am." I admitted and she nodded slowly.
Though me and her were no longer as close as we were before, I figured she could help me out with this. I was too afraid to tell my mom or Dominic about my suspicions as yet.
"Well first you need to take a test and see if you really are."
"Then after that you need to tell Dom."
Biting my lip nervously, I rubbed my sweaty hands together, trying to mentally prepare myself for this.
"What do you think he will say?" I asked nervously and she raised her eyebrows, followed by a chuckle.
"If I'm being honest, I really don't know. That nigga ain't never talk about kids before."
"Right."
Nodding my head, I pushed my loose hairs behind my ear. That information made me even more nervous because it was true, the six years we'd been together we'd never really talked about children so I wasn't sure what he'd say or think about this.
"Look, I'm gon' go grab you a few test and then you can just take them. Whatever happens after that we'll go from there." She said standing to her feet and I just couldn't believe she was being this nice to me again. I was grateful nonetheless.
"Thank you, Deja." I ended up blurting out and she nodded, saying nothing else before she left.
