E verything hurt. Delphine curled onto her side dragging her arms and legs into the fetal position.

Her throat felt like she had deep throated a hot poker, her chest throbbed with pain, every cut, scrape and wound burned.

The pain was unmanageable as she sobbed into the soft material under her skin.

“Breathe my queen. Fall back into slumber.” The deep husky voice whispered in her ear as whiskers scratched her face.

Letting go into the pain Delphine fell into the darkness again.

Weightless, painless and floating on the emotions flowing through her body.

She floated for an eternity, screaming her pain to the darkness and letting the rage build with-in her soul.

Flames started in her chest lighting her body, filling it and soon the darkness was alive with the flames of her anger. She would burn anyone who came in, what had to be, her after life.
