R olling up the scroll, Malphas snapped his fingers to send the scroll popping out of the room.
Another wave of his hand had all the candles extend their flames to double, then triple the original height.
Pacing the room every time he passed the food table a handful of something would follow.
Delphine watched what she thought might have been a nervous tick of his, or the excitement of the chance to go home flowing through him.
“So, here is the deal. I need your consent on all this. I have watched enough human TV and I feel like making this official, so I am going to unbind your wrist and then your mouth. I drew
up a contract you will sign, saying your body is mine and you are giving it to me freely and that you are not under duress.
Then, I want you to speak into the recorder all this as well.
God can’t be everywhere unlike what everyone thinks.
I purposely opened a few portals to hell, added some glacier ice to a volcano and put poison in the UN conference water.
He’s gonna be too busy to catch this. No one has actually seen God in a few million years, but we know He is out there, somewhere. ”
Delphine glared with every ounce of anger she could muster, arms straining at the chains as she pointed both middle fingers at Malphas.
She would play along, if only, to save all the kids she had been able to rescue, but she would do it with every fiber of her being shouting “no” mentally.
Malphas could take away her rights, her wishes and her consent of her body, but he could not take her spirit.
Nodding yes, she waited for him to unlock the chains and take the feathers from her mouth.
Unlocking the chains first Malphas gripped Delphine's hair in his fist, pulling it, as he pushed the pen and paper under her hand.
The signature was scrawled and messy but the picture of the middle finger was quickly done.
Chuckling, Malphas waved away the paper and locked her wrist back.
Pulling the feathers away from her mouth, Delphine spit in his face.
The feathers that had once over taken her every thought in pleasure, were now burning their way into every nightmare.
“I will say everything on the recording under one condition. You can not bind my mouth again tonight. I will not have my voice silenced. I won’t take away my consent, but that is the one thing I will not let you take away from me on my last night.
” Delphine felt the fire roaring behind her eyes, tears glistening as she cleared her throat trying to get rid of the taste of the feathers, the burn of the tears trying to fall and the lingering taste of the wine from before.
Nodding his head in acceptance Malphas snapped and a card with the words he wanted her to speak and a recorder landed in front of her face held up by the feathers from her mouth.
“I, Delphine Morning, give myself to Malphas. My body is his to use as he wishes. I offer my body and life force to him. I cannot revoke my consent from this moment on.”
The words coated her throat like oil. Sobs were rising like high tide, but she had to be strong for those that she loved. She could do this. Gritting her teeth, she glared at Malphas with every burning ember of her soul. She would oblige and even save this sack of shit, but she would do it.
