Page 191 of Claiming the Pack's Omega
"We'll be out here waiting for you," Theo says when he sets me down in my room.
"Okay," I say, smiling up at him.
As he leaves me, the first thing I do is kick off my heels, grab my pajamas, and head into the bathroom to scrub off the remnants of makeup from my face. I close the bathroom door behind me and it shuts with a soft click. I leave the dress in a puddle on the floor because, frankly, I'm too tired to deal with it.
I had a feeling that tonight wouldn't go so well, but the dinner was so much crazier than I thought.
Even though this bathroom has only been mine for a short period of time, being able to get ready for bed here brings me a sense of comfort.
As I'm brushing my teeth, I hear some soft murmurs coming from my room.
"What are you thinking of doing about your brother?" I hear Stone ask. "Are you going to press charges against him?"
At this point, I'm pressing my ear up against the bathroom door to listen in. If anyone could see me right now, I'd probably look like an idiot with my toothbrush still in my mouth.
"We'd be able to win the case against him," Theo says next. "But he wouldn't get nearly enough time. The punishment for soliciting prostitution is only six months in jail and a fine."
I didn't know that. That seems ridiculously low, but I guess it would make sense that the punishment for something that an awful lot of powerful Northsiders do would be.
"I don't know. If I press charges, that'll give him and my parents the opportunity to press charges against me," Killian sighs. "And that would complicate things. But I also don't want to see my brother going unpunished for what he did to Reyna."
I've heard enough. I rinse my mouth out in the sink and step back out into my bedroom.
"You've got enough people praying for your downfall, you don't need to overly complicate things for my sake?—"
My sentence is cut short when I get a good look at my four guys, all sprawled out on my bed in nothing but their boxers, looking like calendar models or something.
My nipples instantly perk up, waving "hello" to everyone in the room as my perfume explodes out of me.
Holy shit. They're so hot.
With the way their eyes are locked on me and my body and the hungry looks they're all wearing, they seem to think the same about me.
"Wow," Theo breathes out. "Those are some sexy pajamas."
"You think so?" I say teasingly, resting a hand on my hip as I strike a little pose for them.
"Come over here," Killian orders, his voice low.
Who am I to disobey?
I crawl over to them from the foot of the bed, settling between Killian and Milo.
Milo lets out a soft groan as I do, scrubbing his hands down his face. In the dim light coming from the lamp on my nightstand, I can see the red blush painting the tips of his ears red that I love so much. He's adorable when he's flustered.
"Such a tease," Killian growls, tugging me so I'm sprawled across his lap and staring up at him as he sits up against my headboard.
I hadn't seen Killian shirtless before. The wait was certainly worth it. Most alphas can maintain a certain level of bulkiness with minimal effort, but he's less cut than Theo. He also has a dusting of dark hair on his chest that makes me want to pet him like a cat.
"Keep that up, and we'll have to do something about that when we should all be getting some rest." He brushes his thumb over my parted lips, a devilish smirk on his expression.
I sputter, trying to gather the last remaining brain cells that haven't overheated from being surrounded by four ridiculously attractive men.
"Shut up," I finally manage to say, pushing away some of my hair from my face. I narrow my eyes on Killian. "Stop it."
"Stop what, Princess?"
"Stop being so fucking hot. You're cooking all my brain cells. I can't do any thinking."
