Chapter 23

DANI

What I didn’t tell him was that Elena was blackmailing me into staying away from him. She pretty much threatened my life, my job, and my chance of having a career in this league ever again if I continue to “see” Jordy.

She might be a prominent female coach in the league, but she was also a prominent ass bitch that I wish I could punch in her stupidly gorgeous face.

Enduring the flight home with Jordy, knowing the piece of information I was leaving out, was absolutely torturing me. I knew we had an amazing time, and I didn’t want it to be over, but I also was highly aware that we would always be friends. We started as friends, and we would continue that way.

Returning to work was nice in some ways, as routine has always been a friend of mine, but being away from the closeness that Jordy and I shared was tough. I missed it. I missed him.

High intensity practices were ramping up the closer we got to the first pre-season game. Everyone was locked in and focused. We wanted to make it all the way to the championship, and maybe we would this year.

“Morning Dani!” Blythe said, sporting his dark colored sunglasses and gas station coffee. That man was something else.

“Morning! Late night?” I asked.

“What kind of question is that? Of course it was—which ended up with me being chewed out by my agent early this morning, but it’s all good.” He stood beside me, my feet propped up on the couch in the lounge a few doors down from the locker room. “What are you working on?”

I sighed, looking at my computer. I had the graphics for our starting line-up completed and I was beginning to schedule out the next player of the week. It happened to be none other than Jordy Hughes, and he was the last one before the pre-season game.

“I’m finishing up the last player of the week. Just fixing a few of the graphics, and it’ll be done.”

“Hm. Jordy. Have you seen him this morning?” he asked.

I turned my head to face him. “No, why? Is he okay?”

He smirked. “Let’s just say we had a time last night, and that man is absolutely—”

“I’m absolutely what?” Jordy interrupted as he walked into the lounge, grabbing a sports drink out of the fridge and chugging it. He wore his tight black shirt, black joggers that hugged his thighs, and his hair was messed up. He didn’t even brush it this morning.

“Oh, just that you and I had an…absolutely great time last night.”

I sighed. “What did you two do exactly?”

“We went to the club, danced and drank, but at some point, I kind of blacked out. I woke up on Jordy’s couch, so obviously it wasn’t that good of a night if I didn’t get any ass.”

“Shut up, Blythe. You’re an asshole,” Jordy quipped, throwing away the empty bottle in the recycling bin.

Blythe threw up his hands. “Hey, nothing wrong with knowing what you want and going after it. Alright, I’ll catch you two later.”

He sauntered out of the room with the same swagger he used entering it, leaving me and Jordy in the lounge alone.

Jordy leaned over the back of the couch, taking a peek at what I was working on. “Oh, that looks good. I love that picture.” I knew he did, which was why I was using it. It was from last season, the final game when he went up for a ball surrounded by three defenders and caught it for the touchdown.

“Yeah, it’s a great picture.” I tried to keep it an easy flowing conversation, nothing too deep.

When I turned, his lips were only a few inches from mine. “Dani,” he whispered. I knew that saying my name wasn’t the only thing he wanted to say. I wanted to say more too, but I couldn't risk it.

I closed my laptop, standing. “Alright, I, um—hope you have a good practice.”

Walking out of the lounge, I knew he was standing there, probably wondering what he’d done wrong and that wasn’t fair to him. Suddenly, a force pressed into my back, shoving me into the janitorial closet opening in the alcove, and I was thrown inside.

“What the fu—”

It was pitch black until the light beamed into the small space, and I turned to meet a very out of breath Jordy. He reached back, locking the door to the closet.

“What are you doing?” I snapped.

Pressing a finger to my lips, he said. “Shut up and listen to me. I can’t stop thinking about you.” He moved his hands, gripping my hips and pulling me flush against him. “I don’t care what Elena said to you or to me. I’m not going to let her control me, and you shouldn’t let her control you.”

Did he know about the conversation?

“And yes, I know what she told you, because she told me the same thing. You were just too prideful to tell me the entire conversation, trying to protect me. I know. But I’m a grown ass man and if I want someone, then—”

I shut him up. My lips crashed against his, with his fingers trailing the band of my leggings. He pushed me against the opposite wall, slamming into the shelves with cleaning supplies. A few paper towel rolls fell and we giggled against each other.

“We shouldn’t be doing this—not in here,” he said, pulling away from the kiss and pressing his forehead against mine.

The little fire inside of me was raging and I wasn’t going to let him leave this closet quite yet. “I only have a few minutes and I have to go to the media team meeting.”

His eyes flared with interest before gripping his hands on my ass and twisting me to an open wall in the closet. Our mouths explored each other, tongues pressing, and his fingers gripped the top of my leggings to pull them down. Our breaths matched each other. Ragged. Needy.

Turning me around, my hands on the wall, he growled, “I missed this—I missed you.”

“I missed you too, Jordy.”

The head of his dick pressed against my entrance, and I was completely soaked. I’d never reacted to a man the way I did with him. He buried himself inside of me as he started to move. I groaned, feeling him stretch and fill me.

“Fuck,” he panted, picking up his pace, our bodies slapping against each other.

I moaned, but his mouth slapped on top of my lips. Whispering against my ear, he said, “You gotta be quiet, baby. Don’t want everyone to hear us, do we?”

He thrusted deeper, harder, and I could feel the orgasm building as a wave of pleasure slammed into me. A few unsteady thrusts were followed by Jordy cursing and pressing a kiss to my head, then the feeling of him pulling out of me. I turned, looking up at his blue eyes, which were wide and glossy, in a state of pure bliss.

Leaning down, he pressed a kiss to my lips and said, “I'll see you out there.”

Winking, he unlocked the door and left the closet.

I was late to the meeting, but no one said anything as I slipped into the chair next to Tee. His eyes raked over me and narrowed, pursing his lips. He knew.

After the meeting was finished, he turned in his chair and propped his head onto his fist. “So, who made you late for the meeting, you sloot?”

I laughed, standing, trying to escape. “None of your business.”

Trailing behind me, he whispered, “Your fresh glow is out of this world. I just know you got your world rocked…but by who? Was it Jordy?”

I twisted and smirked. Tee gasped and did a little happy jump clap. “Yes. I knew it! This era in your life is my new favorite.”

“And what era is that?” I asked playfully.

“The ‘I told you so’ one.”

“What is it with you women drooling over football players? First was Lenna, now you.” Tee remarked, standing beside me as I snapped some pictures and videos of practice.

I rolled my eyes. “You’re a real pain in my ass, Tee.”

He giggled. “I know, but you love me. Oh…don’t look now, but the guy that you fucked five minutes before our meeting is coming over.”

“What?” I turned to face Tee and my gaze trailed his own, meeting Jordy with his helmet, pads, and tight pants. His biceps pushed out from the bottom of the pads, and his smile could be seen through the bars of his helmet.

“I’m gonna go check on…something,” Tee said, galloping away from me.

Standing at my full height, I was eclipsed by Jordy. “Hey,” I said. He turned to stand beside me, watching the practice. “What are you doing over here? Shouldn’t you be with the team?”

He hummed in agreement. “Probably, but I wanted to come check on you. To make sure you’re okay.”

My brows pressed together. “Yeah, why wouldn’t I be?”

He tilted his head. “You know why.”

“Yea, I know why, but if you must know, I was late to my meeting and I smell like sex. Luckily the only one who noticed was Tee.”

Laughing, he leaned into my space. “Did he know that my cum was dripping out of you in that meeting too?”

Holy shit. That shouldn’t have been as hot as it was, but it had me feeling flustered.

He winked. “The whole time I’ve been practicing, I’ve been watching you, adjusting your leggings and knowing that I’m the cause of it. And I can’t wait to do it again.”

Yep, I need a cold shower.
