Page 17 of Breaking Sanity (Hell’s Asylum #1)
Shadow
My interest for my Little Monster was piqued when I was serving with Declan’s unit. Roger wouldn’t shut the fuck up about the girl he lost. He went on and on about how she was the one that got away and he never got to rekindle that flame before she died, blah, blah and fucking blah.
To shut the blubbering idiot up, Salvatore brought up Titus’s ex friend with benefits.
He talked about how insane Alley was and how one night she hit her ex-boyfriend with her car when he came at her with a hatchet.
He said she claims she only hit him going five miles per hour.
Then proceeded to date him. Her skewed common sense was entertaining to listen to.
Declan even would add tidbits here and there about her personality.
He said that she is a fighter, stubborn but has a heart of gold.
Titus would chime in about how she would never shut up especially if scared or excited.
He would talk about how mouthy she would get if she felt threatened or was angry.
He also said she had the stature of a corgi.
Every time they talked about her, it would push my need to see this insanity packaged in a short little thing. When their sex life got brought up, I decided I needed to meet her.
The last night before we all went back to our respective homes, we threw Titus and Declan a bachelor’s party.
They both got so drunk that it was easy to get information about her from them.
Declan told me about her divorce and how he couldn’t handle her pain, plus his wife would lose her mind if she knew he even spoke to her.
Titus, on the other hand, said he talked to her here and there just to make sure she hadn’t offed herself yet.
That struck a nerve with me and I pried more. Titus would only spill the naughty details about her but kept his mouth shut on her outside of that. Declan, though, spilled his whole past with her, in detail too. I would say he was more in love with the girl way back when but wouldn’t admit to it.
Once we got back to the States, I found myself stalking her every movement.
Whether it was the tracker on her phone I had installed, watching the cameras in her apartment, or just following her in person, I couldn’t get enough.
I like to say I never found my opening but that is not entirely true.
Honestly, I loved watching her when she thought she was alone.
Right now, she sits in the booth behind me at this hole in the wall diner. Her and her best friend, Marney, are cackling like two witches throwing fire at unsuspecting trespassers. I know for a fact it has to be about the guy she hooked up with last Sunday.
I checked the tracker on her phone after my meeting with Eagle, Killer, and Wolf.
It took way longer than was needed, but when you are scheming to end a decades long war planning is key.
The tracker had her at the generic woe is me guy’s house.
I hate that she was on dating apps but I have no say, for now.
I broke every traffic law on my motorcycle to get there.
Only to spend the next few hours on his living room couch in the dark.
He left his bedroom door open and Alley has a loud voice as is, so I could hear the conversation.
Let’s just say it was unoriginal, boring, and awkward at best. It’s when he started to make his generic moves, I was left listening to the most obnoxious fake orgasm in my life.
The sad thing was the dude thought it was real.
He even called a buddy afterwards to brag.
“He couldn’t have been that bad,” Marney laughs.
“Oh, he was.” Alley tries to regain her bearings. “I had to fake it based on his facial expressions because I couldn’t even feel it.”
God damn!
“ Did he have any redeemable qualities,” Marney asks.
“Well he was semi good with his hands, I guess. Although, he was pretty much silent and we were watching some adult swim cartoons. Not the most stimulating thing to watch,” Alley explains. “Also he couldn’t hold a conversation in person and it was super awkward.”
“Oh…” Marney pauses. “Well, was he good with his mouth?”
“No but at least when he was eating me out like a dog drinking water from a hose, he wasn’t talking, so that was a bonus.”
Fucking Christ! This is why men should never look at a woman’s group chat. We all get fucking roasted!
“Well I guess that’s good.”
“Marney, I swear I was more wet from his saliva than from being turned on.”
Holy fuck!
“There are always better dates waiting to happen.”
“Yeah but it’s not fulfilling Mar,” Alley sighs. “I need that stimulation. I need something to send my heart skyrocketing. I need the push and pull. I want to be dominated and fucked until I can’t remember my name.”
“I know sweetie, but that isn’t going to help you right now. You can heal by journaling and clearing your head.”
“We both know that is not going to help me in the slightest. I feel like this anger and pain just keeps building and building. Apart from going on a murder spree, rough mind-blowing sex is the next best.”
Fuck! I shouldn’t be listening to this.
“I get it. Have you tried therapy?”
“Ha! We both know I would end up in a straight jacket, plus why go to a therapist when I have you?”
You both need therapy.
“Fair point. Have you considered going to that club I told you about?”
“The sex club,” Alley loudly squeaks. She covers her mouth giggling, when the passing waitress glares at them.
“Yes! I am signing you up! It’s tomorrow night!”
“Bitch you are not.”
I hear the commotion of what sounds like Alley trying to snatch Marney’s phone. By the villainous laughter from Marney, I am assuming she won.
“Now go have fun. Get crazy and let your freak flag fly.”
“Marney, I don’t have anything to wear,” Alley huffs.
“Babe, you have a closet full.”
“You are really going to make me go by myself?”
“Girl, you do everything else by yourself, you’ll be fine.”
“What if someone tries to kidnap me,” Alley whines.
“With your big ass mouth,” Marney laughs. “They’ll call me to take you back.”
“Ugh, fine. I’ll go,” Alley sighs.
“Good,” Marney laughs. “Now here I have this gift for you.”
There is crumpling of paper followed by a gasp.
“This is gorgeous, Marney!”
“It’s a masquerade theme tomorrow. I had it made for you.”
“You had planned on this?!”
“Yes. So go enjoy yourself and let go for a few hours.”
“Marn-”
“No more arguing, love. Just text me when you get there and when you leave, yeah?”
“What if I meet a serial killer?”
“It wouldn’t be the first time.”
“Bitch.”
“I love you but I have to get home to the husband and crotch goblins.”
“I’ll get the tab. Love you! Now get.”
With that, Marney passes me to head out the door and I follow her out.
If I stay any longer, I can’t promise not to kidnap Alley to keep her away from that club.
Marney gets in her car and hauls ass out of the parking lot.
I sit on my motorcycle and watch Alley sit in the booth twirling the simple mask with her fingers.
The waitress drops her check onto the table.
Alley doesn’t seem to notice as she just keeps blankly staring at it.
What are you thinking?
My phone vibrates and I rip it out of my pocket. No one usually contacts me on this phone, so it must be important.
Wolf: You are in. You have a month to prepare.
Me: That was fast. It’s only been a day.
Wolf: They need people.
Me: Perfect. I need a favor.
Wolf: Anything.
Me: I need to be on the list for your club tomorrow night.
Wolf: Done. Your last hoorah?
Me: Something like that
With one last look at my Little Monster , I put my helmet on.
As I get ready to start my bike I notice a very familiar CHEVY Blazer.
I haven’t seen him for some time but I don’t think it’s a coincidence he is here.
The driver side door swings open and he gets out dressed in all black and his hood pulled up.
At first I thought he was here for me and that he actually put two and two together.
So, imagine my surprise when he walks up to Alley’s car and places something I can’t make out on the undercarriage.
Pretending to be scrolling on my phone, I watch Gunner watch her as she exits the diner.
He doesn’t make a move to abduct her; no he slinks into the tall bushes by her car and doesn’t emerge until she is out of the parking lot.
He hops back in his SUV and drives off in the other direction.
Well, that’s interesting.
Present
Standing at my post in Baron’s office, I tune out the girl crying to him. Something about her punishment from Carson being too extreme and blah blah blah. I’ve been listening to this shit for three years. It’s the same story over and over just a different day.
Personally, I don’t really give two shits about these women.
They won’t survive this place, no one ever does.
No amount of submission will save them from their horrific ending.
I have done some fucked up shit in my life, including being here but these guys take it to a whole new level.
I’ve seen Nik slowly kill one of the girls by hacking off her limbs centimeter by centimeter.
Still the worst has to be what happened to Annie and Michelle.
I knew Vaughn was vicious like me, but not to that degree.
I mean I have followed him throughout my life especially when we were teenagers.
Hell, I even joined the military when he did.
Mainly because I was ordered to, but nonetheless we served together.
He even served with Titus, Salvatore, and Declan on several occasions.
Imagine if they knew he was the one who had her.
“Somone come get this bitch out of my room before I actually fucking kill her,” Nik’s voice booms through my earpiece.
“Happily,” Gunner chirps.
“Does she need medical?” Carson asks.
“If Gunner doesn’t get here soon, then yes!”
