It was New Year’s Eve. We were still in the early stages of the party.

The wilder stuff would start later, after I took my family home.

At the moment, we were all gathered as a large family.

Several things made this year special. One was the woman at my side.

Blythe had made my life so rich and worth living.

I loved her more every day. The second one was my two beautiful daughters.

They were born just two days after their due date, which was unusual for twins to go full term.

Calista and Cailynn were three weeks old today.

They slept peacefully through the noise their extended family made and all the hands that had to touch and hold them.

My mom was one of the ones who couldn’t stop holding and admiring them.

She’d done it. After we left Boston, she filed for divorce and moved out of the house.

I was surprised that she did. Due to the number of years together and all their joint investments, she was about to be left in a fantastic financial situation.

She’d come to visit shortly after filing and was back to be here for the girls’ birth.

She was checking out places to move to nearby.

She loved the area’s peacefulness and told me she understood why I moved.

Mom kept apologizing for what she did and allowing Dad to dictate so much all my life.

We were working on improving our relationship.

I saw it growing stronger, and she and Blythe got along beautifully.

I grinned at the prospect behind the bar serving drinks.

He wasn’t ruffled by anything. I was damn glad he’d accepted the offer.

When Leon said yes, I sponsored him. Hulk tried to get me to arm wrestle him for the honor of who would sponsor, but I reminded him I knew Leon first. The two of them got along scarily well.

They thought a lot alike. Leon fit in perfectly and told me he was glad he had done it.

Leon started just in time to take Dimitri’s place.

Even though it had only been about a year and a half of prospecting, we’d voted and decided he earned his patch.

He’d been patched in early November and given the perfect road name.

Due to how he’d helped and watched over my old lady, his name could only be Guardian.

He was a great addition. Scanning the room, I wondered what this new year would bring and which of my brothers would be the next to find his forever.

We had to catch up. Another damn Warrior had bitten the dust and claimed his woman.

All of us were thrilled for him and loved his old lady, but we couldn’t let their club keep the lead.
