“The scene Blythe enacted yesterday was spot-on, making all the paranoia come out. Tavia believes that Deon betrayed her and intended to run off to have a life with Blythe and the baby. She wants his blood. No one leaves Tavia Machado. As much as someone like her can care for someone, she cares for Deon. That thin line between love and hate has been erased,” Hulk stated smugly.

“Did she give his location?” Nitro asked.

“What about where her uncle and cousin are and how many reinforcements they have?” Pyro asked.

“She did give up Deon’s last known location thanks to Leon. She didn’t get specific about the number of men they have at their disposal, but we got something we hoped would help Wire find out,” Hulk added.

Agony turned to Leon. “Tell us how you got it.”

“She was reluctant to say where Deon was. She still thinks in her craziness that she’ll get free and will be able to torture and kill him for his betrayal.

And she’ll make Blythe pay for ruining their scam and taking her man.

I knew from how she acted when Hulk hit her that she gets off on pain.

It wasn’t the way to go, or not by beating her.

So I changed it to a version she doesn’t like. ” He paused.

“Knife play isn’t a favorite of Tavia’s, so I introduced her to my version.

It didn’t take long for her to give up where Deon was supposed to be.

In addition, she mentioned that her uncle and cousin had brought nearly their entire team here and were on standby to take on the club if she said to do it.

That was the information passed to Wire. ”

Leon was very calm and casual about what he had done. He didn’t go into detail or brag. I wanted to see what shape Tavia was in this morning. Or had they killed her? Before I could ask, Twisted did.

“Is she dead?”

“No, she’s still alive, though hating life right now. We thought it was better to keep her that way, in case there might be more she can tell us,” Pope replied.

“Nice job,” Dare told them.

“Pres, I want to add one more thing. Leon was a pro at getting what we needed fast. He was a pleasure to work with,” Hulk added. He gave Leon a chin lift. Coming from Hulk, that was high praise. I liked Leon even more when he waved it away and said it was simply a result of his training.

“Leon, thank you very much,” Agony said before he looked at Wire. “It’s your turn, brother. Did you find what we needed?”

Slowly, a smirk spread over Wire’s exhausted face.

“I did. Tavia’s slip-up led me to track her uncle’s movements.

He and his son, with his men, left Colima four days ago.

They flew to the States and passed through Customs in Atlanta, Georgia.

The passports are registered, and I was able to access the TSA’s video.

They came through in small groups so they didn’t draw undue attention.

I'm not sure how they managed to get weapons into the country, but if you know the right people, you can smuggle them in or purchase them here.

Anyway, when they were all through Customs, which took well over two hours, a total of twenty men came in.

That includes her uncle, Rodrigo, and his son, Alvaro.

“Once I knew this, I searched for the family’s holdings in Colima.

With the names on the passports, I matched them to the men who worked for the Machado family.

There were five men left behind. They’re low-level soldiers.

It seems family-wise, it’s Rodrigo, Alvaro, and Tavia.

The rest of the family died over the years—some from accidents, natural causes, and a few from assassinations.

Alvaro and Tavia seem to have directed the desire for expansion.

It started four years ago. Rodrigo was content with what they had.

However, one day, Alvaro will take over, and he wants a larger kingdom, so his father is allowing it. ”

It never ceased to amaze me what Wire could find out about people.

It scared me. But as much as he knew and told, he kept secrets, probably almost as much, like what he knew about my background.

He was entrusted with so much. I thought it had to be a burden sometimes—even more reason for him to take time and get away.

“Fantastic work. Okay, we have numbers and a possible location on Deon. Do we know where the uncle is or what weapons they’ll have?” Agony asked.

“I do. He rented a massive estate outside of Atlanta between us and there. It’s just under a three-hour drive from there to here.

No one would question them if they came in multiple vehicles, which they’ve rented.

As for the weapons, I don't know how they obtained them, so I can’t say.

However, I do know what they prefer to use in Mexico, and assuming they’d do the same here, I have a list of them and likely quantities.

” Wire paused to push a piece of paper to be given to Agony.

“We’re eighteen strong if you include the prospects.

We’ll have to divide our forces to protect the compound and our families, which means we need to bring in help.

Dublin Falls is less than two hours away.

The next closest is our chapter in Lake Oconee, Georgia, which is close to three hours away.

If we can get five each from them, we should be good.

Guarding the compound with the walls and security features will take a smaller force.

With the women and kids in the playroom and the women’s lounge, we can lock them down, which becomes their safe area.

All we need is two guards: one for each door inside.

And you know Joli and a few others will be armed and willing to protect each other and the kids.

If they breach the compound, they’ll be in for a surprise,” he chuckled with the rest of us.

After what happened in Hunters Creek a year and a half ago when the enemy blew a hole in their wall, we’d prepared ourselves to have defenses inside if that were to happen. The other clubs had done the same.

“I’m willing and able to help, so that makes you nineteen. I can help wherever you need me. I don’t mean to pry, but you have a safe room? Interior defenses?” Leon asked.

“Thank you, we’ll take your offer if you’re sure.

Yes, when we retrofitted it to be the playroom, we added a small lounge next to it to serve as the old ladies’ lounge, which was both reinforced and secured to create a safe area.

As for defenses, one of our friends’ clubs had its wall breached over a year ago.

When that happened, we all put up other defenses.

We like to keep those a surprise, but be assured if we deploy them, you’ll be told where it’s safe,” Dare explained.

“Damn, you’re making me all kinds of jealous over here. I feel like I’m back home in the Corps,” Leon said, grinning.

“We’ll talk after this is done,” Agony stated. I hoped it meant what I thought it did.

“Okay, then we need to get our reinforcements here ASAP. Thankfully, not knowing what we were facing, I spoke to Bull and Wrath a couple of days ago and put them on standby. All I have to do is make the call and ask for the men, and they’ll be sent.

I’d expect them to be here by evening at the latest. When they get here, we’ll make our first move.

We’ll see if Deon is where he’s supposed to be.

That should only take a couple of men, so we’ll lure the Machados here roughly simultaneously,” Agony added.

“How do you want to lure them?” I asked.

“I’d let them know we took their precious Tavia, and she’s not doing so well,” Hulk said.

“She seems to be loved by her uncle and cousin, so it should do the trick,” Wire assured us.

And just that easily, we had a plan to deploy and work to be done. We talked over a few points before shutting it down. We’d meet after the Warriors and other Pagans got here. Until then, we’d spend time with our families and prepare. I had to decide how much to tell Blythe.
