I was somewhat nervous. Chozen said his entire family was flying in today.
When I told him I didn’t want them to think I was a user, he immediately went on a mission to prove to me they wouldn’t.
He said Noah and TAZ moved quickly, and the only reason they didn’t move quicker than they did was because of her.
Noah would have had her moving to Baltimore after their first encounter.
I chuckled when he said that. TAZ, whose real name was Taryn, was also in the music industry.
She was an amazing singer. He also said that his aunt and uncle moved rather quickly too.
That put me at ease somewhat, but not totally.
It helped that I’d already met Noah and RJ though.
Once he got everyone where they needed to be, he said he would come back for me.
I was already dressed and had eaten. I would be starting my medication tomorrow, and that was when the real fun would begin.
Sex with Chozen was like staring into the face of God.
That man had my insides turned out, bowing to his dick in submission and reverence.
He was right though. When that pain pill wore off, I was hurting so bad I couldn’t sleep.
I took another pill, and it still took a while for me to go to sleep even after that.
I couldn’t take the pills too close together, or I would be sleeping all day.
It called for every six hours, but after four hours, I was feeling every bit of that pain.
Tylenol didn’t do a thing but insult my pain.
He held me all night and nearly all day Saturday, trying to make me as comfortable as possible while consoling me at the same time.
I just knew when we woke up Saturday morning, he would say I told you so, but he didn’t.
He made sure I had everything I needed yesterday and today, before he left for the airport, and had even cooked breakfast. To have a man like him felt like I’d been picked to be God’s favorite.
Chozen was perfect for me. While I hadn’t been exposed to any of his flaws, at this point, I didn’t think he had any significant ones.
As much as we’d been around each other, if they were bad enough, I would have gotten a glimpse of them by now.
As I sat waiting, there was a knock on the door, then I heard keys.
That was definitely my mama. I told her Noah was coming to town, and she promised she would be with us with bells on.
She was bringing my baby too. It would be Chozen’s first time meeting him.
His dad had picked him up from my parents’ house Friday before I could introduce him to Chozen as planned.
Fabian had dropped him off about thirty minutes ago, and Mama said he looked like a raggamuffin. She gave him a bath and dressed him again. He did get him a haircut though. Hopefully, he didn’t let nobody fuck my baby’s head up. My mama didn’t say anything about it, so I had to assume it was okay.
When I heard running, I knew my baby was here. “Mommy!”
“Hey, baby! Did you have fun with your dad?”
“Yes, ma’am!”
“Good. I like your haircut. It looks really good.”
“I know. I like it too. Where are we going?”
“Well, there’s someone I want you to meet.”
“Is it a boy or a girl?”
I smiled at him. He was so innocent and happy. “It’s a man. He’s my boyfriend.”
His eyebrows lifted, then he frowned like he was thinking. “Is his name umm . . . Chozen?”
It was my turn to frown. “Yes. How did you know that?”
“Daddy asked me if I had met him yet. He said that he seemed nice, but if I didn’t like him to tell you.”
I wanted to roll my eyes. Fabian had better be glad that was all he said, because his absentee ass was the last one that should be judging anyone. Instead, I nodded. “Did he say when you would be able to spend more time with him?”
“He said he would call you to talk about that.”
I nodded. Xavier lowered his head a bit. I knew what he was thinking. My baby was extremely smart and could put two and two together like an adult, and he was only three, almost four. He looked up at me and asked, “It’s going to be a long time before I see him again, huh?”
“I don’t know, baby. I hope not. Hopefully, he saw just how brilliant you are and will want to spend even more time getting to know his only son.”
He frowned. “Mommy, I’m not his only son. I met my little brother last night.”
I frowned. “How old is he?”
That muthafucka! That was why he couldn’t take care of me. He had another bitch he was probably taking care of. “He’s two!”
His ass cheated on me. That baby was born when he left me. My mama said, “Hell no. Look at where you are right now, and thank God that mu—man left you. The man you have now came straight from Heaven.”
“You’re right, Mama.”
I took deep breaths as my son stared at me. He quickly wrapped his arms around me and kissed my cheek. “Are you okay, Mommy?”
“Yes, baby. Mommy is okay. I love you.”
“I love you too,” he said as the doorbell rang.
He quickly stood, his eyes bright, as Mama went to the door.
When the door opened and I heard Chozen greet my mama, Xavier turned to me with a big smile on his face.
He was craving that fatherly figure, and his own father was too busy being a ho to see that his son needed him.
Mama came into the front room where X and I were with Chozen behind her.
Xavier immediately tilted his head back to look up at him.
Chozen smiled big, and I damn near melted. I loved his smile. “What’s up, lil man? You gotta be Xavier.”
He extended his hand, and X shook it. “What’s up? You gotta be Chozen,” he said like a big kid, causing me to smile.
“Yep. I can’t wait to spend time getting to know you.”
Xavier smiled big as Chozen made his way to me and said, “Hey, baby. You good? You look upset.”
Damn. I thought I was hiding my disdain with what X had told me. Although I was no longer with Fabian, it still pissed me off to know he was fucking around on me. Bitch ass nigga. After he kissed my lips, I said, “I’m okay, baby. Was your family excited to see you?”
“Yeah, but I think they’ll be more excited to meet all of you. Is Mister Michaels going to come with us?”
“No, baby. He don’t wanna see me in my fangirl moment when I meet Noah.
He said he wouldn’t be able to contain himself if he saw me losing my dignity over another man.
He’s just jealous. He tried to convince me Noah was gay just so I wouldn’t like him.
Then Noah got arrested years ago, and he tried convincing me he was a thug.
When he found out it was a racial profiling case, he gave up,” my mama responded.
Chozen laughed, and I slowly shook my head at my dad’s ridiculousness.
When he stopped laughing, he glanced at me again.
“Well, are y’all ready? Instead of going to my house, we’ll be going to Nate’s house.
It’s bigger to where we will all be comfortable.
X, you’ll have Luca and Brooklyn to play with.
I think Brooklyn is three or four years old, and Luca is two. ”
“Yay! Let’s go!”
I chuckled as Chozen came to the couch and helped me up. I was wearing my prosthesis and had taken a pain pill. Thankfully, it relieved that pain as well. “You okay to walk? You know I don’t mind carrying you.”
I smiled at him and bit my bottom lip. Leaning into him, I said, “I like when you carry me.”
Without hesitancy, he scooped me up in his arms and kissed my lips. I could see X’s eyebrows lift. When he smiled, I knew he was liking Chozen more and more with every passing minute.
“Are you going to tell me what’s up?” he asked softly near my ear.
“X told me that he has a two-year-old brother. It pissed me off to know that he couldn’t take care of me because he was too busy taking care of another family behind my back.
However, my mama was quick to check me, reminding me that if he wouldn’t have left, I wouldn’t be with you.
So I’m grateful for even that, because it led to you, baby. ”
I slid my hand over his cheek as we walked out the door.
I turned slightly to see my mama locking it behind us with a smile on her face.
She was so damn excited to go meet Noah until she couldn’t contain it.
She and X followed us to Chozen’s car. My scooter was already in his trunk just in case I needed it.
As long as he was with me, I was sure I wouldn’t.
“Mommy! This house is big!” X said as soon as we turned in the driveway.
I looked at it in awe. It was gorgeous. “What did you say Nate did again?” I asked Chozen.
“He’s a professional basketball player. He plays for the Dallas Mavericks.”
“Oh, okay. He probably has several houses.”
“He does. Dallas, Houston, here, and Baltimore. He’s originally from Houston.”
I nodded as he parked behind a G-Wagon. My nerves had picked up, and I could tell my mama’s had as well but for a totally different reason.
I slightly rolled my eyes as Chozen opened her door and helped her out of the car.
I had to chuckle at her excitement. I was pretty sure this would be a day she would never forget.
After Chozen helped X out, he came to the front to get me.
When he opened the door, he smiled big. I smiled back because I could see his excitement.
He was excited for his family to meet little ol’ me, and that brought tears to my eyes.
After he closed the door, he looked at me and asked, “You okay, baby?”
He slid his hand over my cheek and kissed my lips, causing my body to shudder.
The way my body reacted to him was crazy.
Friday night only increased the insanity.
The way he masterfully brought my body to ecstasy multiple times was something I had been craving.
God made that man perfect in every way. He pressed his body against mine as I leaned against the car.
My body temperature had risen and was competing with the sun. I was so damn hot.
