Chapter

Thirty-Five

TEDDY

I woke up slowly, with Elias’s fingers running sweetly through my hair and his breaths on my forehead. My hand, already on his back, stroked his warm skin while his muscles twitched in reply. He kissed my temple, pulling me closer to him.

“Do I get to keep you here, or do I have to hold you down before you rush off to brush your teeth?” His voice was gravelly from lack of use.

In answer, I trailed kisses down his neck to his chest and stomach.

I brushed my hand down, enjoying the way his muscles shuddered at my touch.

With one swift movement, I reached under his underwear and cupped his straining length.

He hissed, arching his hips up when I pumped him, his considerable shaft thick and long.

I wanted to taste him, to see if his length and width fit in my mouth.

As if he’d heard my thoughts, his chest heaved.

He sank his fingers into my hair and tugged, making me ache in the center of my core.

When I kissed him, it was a wild merge of our lips and tongue.

He bucked again when I stroked him harder, faster.

He turned his face to kiss and nip at my chin and ear, his soft pants nuzzling my singed skin.

On a pant, I leaned toward his large cock. I swirled my tongue around the tip, letting his moan ricochet inside me. I slid my tongue down the side of him and licked my way up again.

The taste of him made my core throb in pain, so when his fingers slid my panties to the side and he plunged his fingers inside me, I let out a grateful moan.

I slid him inside my mouth, pumping him rougher, harder as I swirled my tongue around him.

He pumped his fingers inside me just as hard, just as rough.

Even with him filling my mouth, there was still enough room to pump him with my hand too.

When I did, he jerked his hips up, thrusting himself deeper into my throat.

“Teddy,” he begged.

This time, when I pumped him, I grazed my teeth over him gently as I squeezed my hand around the base. He hissed out a curse, and when I skimmed his cock with my teeth again, he moaned so loudly it seemed to bounce off the tent walls and crash back into me.

He pierced his fingers in me before he thrust again in my mouth.

I moaned, moving my mouth and hand in unison.

I nearly whined when he took his fingers out, but then he gripped my ass and his thrusts became wilder, and I worked to suck him in deeper.

I cupped his balls and squeezed one ever so lightly as I took him in even deeper.

Elias came undone, screaming his pleasure so loud I was sure everyone had heard him.

He arched into my mouth, his whole body shuddering as he repeated my name over and over again.

Only when his trembles subsided did I let him go.

He watched me as I swallowed, lips parted, his pants making his chest rise and fall quickly .

I smiled. That smile quickly faded when he lunged toward me, ripping off my panties. His lips crashed against mine, and as I lay on the sheets we’d slept on, he slipped inside me. He felt so good, so right.

I whimpered when he pulled his cock out, but then he slipped my knees over his shoulders. He was inside me again, deeper. So much deeper.

His fingers dug into my hair as he kissed me with reckless abandon. I moved with him, and his every thrust seemed to go deeper. Heat blazed inside, and I moaned when he slammed into me. I took every inch of him, and nothing had ever felt this good. This complete.

When I clenched around his cock, he hissed out a breath.

“ Vith ,” he growled.

With his next thrust, I clenched around him again.

“ Vith ,” he repeated.

His eyes were dark and wild. Completely unrestrained.

He pounded into me, his hands pulling and tugging my hair while his lips roamed over my face and neck.

When I bared my neck for him, he bit me.

Everything inside me erupted, and I came undone while he thrust harder and rougher and deeper.

He found his own release again when I dug my teeth into his shoulder enough to draw blood.

I took in that sweet flavor of him as his shouts spilled through our campsite.

He shuddered on top of me as he kissed me softly, slowly and, when I ran a hand over his quivering back, he let most of his weight fall on me. He stayed buried inside me, kissing me, caressing me. His pants were as rough and broken as mine.

We lay there silently, our hearts thundering in sync with each other. When he slid out, I missed him immediately. He nuzzled the side of my neck as he rolled us over so that he lay on his back.

“I want to marry you,” I whispered. “I know we have the mate bond, but I want to marry you too.”

He leaned up to capture my lips in a sweet kiss. “Then I want to marry you too. Tell me what I need to do, and I’ll do it.”

“For starters, it’s usually the man who asks the woman to marry him,” I told him. “He’s supposed to get down on one knee and ask in a grand, romantic way.”

“Does she help plan this?” he asked.

With my arms around him, I pulled him closer. “No, it’s a surprise.”

He nipped my chin. “We’ll pretend you never asked me, and I’ll surprise you one day.”

I smiled. “Ry used to be a wedding planner. It’ll make her happy to plan our wedding.”

“How long does the planning take?” he asked.

“Are you eager to marry me quickly?” I teased.

“You’re already mine.” He tucked me closer to his side. “If you want to get married, we’ll get married twenty times, but I’d prefer to do it sooner than later.”

I giggled. “You’re adorable.”

“I’m yours.”

I knew it was hard for Elias to leave his mom in Niev while we went back to my realm, but after five days, he’d been adamant about returning to the human realm.

I just hoped that having Grandma Richter stay with his mom would provide him with solace.

I knew I was grateful that the females who tended to the castle didn’t mind me leaving Hee-haw with them until things had settled back home.

The girls weren’t all that excited about leaving their fae friends behind, but Elias promised to bring them back. Often, if they had any say in it.

Even Javier had found a friend. A pretty female who looked to be about his age, which meant she was probably in her eighties.

The walk through the streets of Somnio was chaotic. I wasn’t surprised others knew who Elias was since he was a prince and all. Or would he be king now? What surprised me was how they approached him. As if he were an old friend, just a regular guy they could kick back and have beers with.

Knowing Elias, that was exactly what he’d done when the tavern he frequented still stood. It was the one business every fae we met insisted needed to be rebuilt first.

Tents lined the broken streets, rubble and ash filling the empty spaces where buildings had once stood.

The fae worked tirelessly, though, and some of the destruction had already been cleared.

It would still be a long time before it resembled what it used to, but they’d get there just as we would in my realm.

When we neared the tear in the veil, Elias scooped up Victoria in his arms while George knelt so Jasmine could climb onto his back.

It’d been decided George and Everly would go back with us for a couple of nights so George and Donnie could travel to a couple of regions and get the fae patrol started there too.

I took one final look at the fae and the city of Somnio before Elias took my hand.

“We’ll be back soon,” he said, reading my expression.

Together, we crossed through the veil, and once we stepped back into Colina, right where the food bank used to stand, I stumbled back a step into Brenton, who grabbed my elbow to keep me from falling.

Because all I saw were the tanks and soldiers with their rifles pointed at us.

Elias handed Victoria to me while the three males and Alastor stepped in front of us.

A dark shadow, similar to the one Eiran had, seemed to bleed from Alastor, forming by his feet and extending toward the soldiers.

One soldier pointed his rifle at the growing shadow while the other fourteen kept theirs pointed at us.

When Javier led his sisters behind everyone, I urged Victoria to follow. Reluctantly, she did as I asked.

Donnie stepped forward, standing beside Elias. His shoulders pulled back while his fingers twitched at his sides.

“What’s going on here?” Donnie asked, his tone friendly.

“Are you the one in charge here?” one of the soldiers asked.

“I’m a police officer for this region,” he replied and nodded toward Elias. “He’s the one in charge.”

“Not anymore, he isn’t,” the same soldier said. “Fae aren’t welcome here anymore. You can collect the rest of the fae in this region and get on out of here.”

“What do you mean by collect?” Elias’s words came out slow and lethal, and I knew without looking at him, his eyes had gone black.

The soldier aimed his rifle at Elias’s head. “We got them rounded up in cages.” He pointed the tip of his rifle toward the right. “More’ll be coming in the next few weeks.”

Elias pushed the tip of the rifle down when he stepped forward. “You put my people in cages?”

Just as three soldiers pointed their guns at him, Elias used whatever magic that allowed him to incinerate things to eviscerate the rifles. The soldier staggered back a step.

“You want us gone, we’re gone,” Elias said, his tone calm and even, but it was his hands clenching and unclenching that gave him away. He gripped the soldier by his collar and pulled the man closer to him. “But you don’t ever put my people in cages.”

The soldier nodded, and when Elias let him go, he ran his hands over his uniform.

Elias nodded at our three fae friends, who rushed to where the soldier had pointed.

“Do us all a favor and release my people to my friends,” he said.

Two soldiers ran toward where George, Brenton, and Everly had started.
