Story: The WitchSlayer

“No, much worse.” Then he backed up as he let his arms fall. “Stay in this alcove. Do not leave or touch anything. The illusion will hide you from sight.”

She followed him to the entryway and stood at it when he left. He blew a ring of fire above him when he was outside, but he didn’t get the chance to say anything before he was tackled.

“Ru!” A very naked woman shouted as she attached herself to him.

She wrapped her arms around his neck and began planting kisses around his face and forehead. He struggled to free himself.

Amalia hadn’t considered that he may have a lover, and her face paled.

“I was so worried that I would find your lair empty!” she cried, bringing her arms in tighter to hug him. “I was with the Elders when Glov arrived.”

Something inside Amalia’s chest twisted at watching them, especially when they started to stumble back. Rurik grabbed a hold of her. She was rather beautiful with straight black hair flowing down her cream-coloured body. Her body was slender yet held lovely curves.

Just when she thought it was a sweet embrace, he yelled, “Get off me, you horrible snake!”

He pried them apart and pushed her back.

She leapt for him again, wrapping herself around him, and he struggled to get this naked woman off him.

“No! You are not allowed to leave me. You are not allowed to die until I say so.”

Amalia couldn’t help feeling dismayed at seeing this female act like this. She obviously cared and loved him.

“How dare you do something so reckless as fight against a coven and the Vast by yourself!”

Amalia took a step back, needing to rest her hand against the bench to support herself.

“Leave me in peace! I told you not to return here.”

“But Ru-”

“Detach yourself, ugly vulgar woman!”

He got them apart again.

The female slapped him across the face, offended that he had called her ugly and vulgar. To Amalia’s shock, he slapped her in return. She slapped him again, so he did it harder while the rumbling of large footsteps came from the tunnel.

“You lower my wards and then do not reapply them!? You allow another to disturb me?” he said right before a green scaled paw became visible.

“My apologies, Rurik. I did try to stop her, but she had a head start,” Glov said.

The female put her hands on her hips, seeming not to care that she was unclothed in front of males.

“Both of you, get out of my lair!”

“I am not leaving,” the woman told him with a stamp of her foot. “I have not seen you in ages.”

“I have to speak with you about the Elders and what happened. I was not sure if I would find your cave empty and have to search Mahesh’s instead.”

Rurik shook his head.

“Glov, you may stay to speak with me.” Then he turned to the female. “Andyou, you may see yourself out.” She gave a pout, so he growled in response. “You have disrupted my mood. Do not anger me further. I will come to see you when I am ready. The least you could do is assist me and tell the Elders that I am alive and not to send anyone to Mahesh’s lair. It is currently unsafe.”

The pout worsened as she stormed up the tunnel, and Rurik shook his head at her.

“Glov, meet me in the main room. I will be there in a moment.”

With a nod, the green Dragon walked down the tunnel.
