Story: The ShadowHunter
She began to tickle her fingers through the short length of hair on the back of his head. She twirled it, making goosebumps prickle down the nape of his neck and over his shoulders.
He also noted that her body was pressed firmly against his own. Each movement caused her hips to rub against his, and he wasn’t sure if she was doing it on purpose or not.
“You have been cold to the nobles tonight,” he said after he spun her out and then back to him.
Then he dipped his head to run his tongue over her throat.I wonder if she knows I enjoy watching her with them.
He felt her roll her body into his subtly in reaction, and yet the words that came out of her mouth next incited anger from him.
“I do think Lord Parika likes me. The number of times I have had to deny his hand for a dance was becoming irksome. If you had not come along, I feared I would be unable to deny him much longer.”
Geryon’s nose crinkled as he growled, his eyes searching for this apparent Lord Parika.
“You only say such things because you know I cannot leave my post this eve.”Evil wench!
“Perhaps I say them in order to convince you, regardless.” There was an emotion dripping in her voice, one that made his hackles rise and his growl quieten immediately.
Geryon slowly pulled back to take in the features of her face.
Her expression was blank – except she was letting her true intention fill her eyes. The skin of her chest was turning pink, and he knew, before long, he’d be able to smell a change in her scent.
“You are toying with me openly when you usually do not.” To his dismay, it was working.
Geryon held her tighter against him when his cock jerked and began to harden.
“It is not my fault you look ravishing in this coat, or that you have been looking around like you are hunting.” She leaned a little closer to add with a whisper, “It just reminds me of what you are.”
“You are a cruel woman,” he groaned.
She was making it increasingly obvious she was excited by the fact she knew he was a Dragon. It made sense, considering her coven respected them, although he still found that odd.
She is just as insatiable for me as I am for her.
“Well, if you leave your post and King Bradwick was to perish, you would become a laughingstock, since you were chasing after women instead of protecting him.”
He wished he hadn’t come to dance with her when she raked her nails from the bottom of his skull to the top of his head. A shudder rippled through him. She was taunting him, playing with him, because she thought he wouldn’t cave.
She is playing a dangerous game.Geryon was growing fonder and fonder of the idea of tossing her over his shoulder and taking her somewhere out of sight.
If she kept playing with him like this, he may not even consider leaving this room.
“One woman,” he corrected with a dart of his tongue at the seam of his lips. “The only woman I would be chasing after is you.”
“Oh, are you saying it is my fault?” She deliberately ran her knee between his legs so that her thigh would rub against his pestering erection.
“Valerie...” He wasn’t sure if the warning came out as a groan or a growl or a mixture of the two, but he could feel his control slipping.
The reason he should be staying in this room was becoming less and less important to him.
Then she leaned forward to bring her lips to his ear. “I could always place a ward around the room to keep threats out while we are gone.”
Blasted!
“Do it,” he growled, releasing her hand so he could place it around her waist as well. “Quickly.”
She brought her hands between their bodies to hide them, and he could feel the swirl of energy. Her eyes were shut as she silently chanted.
It usually made Geryon uncomfortable to watch her magic, but right then, he didn’t mind.Want her.He was too distracted by the potential of what this magic could lead to.
