Story: The ShadowHunter

“No spell can change what I was born as or what I have done.”If only it was that simple.“You are a Dragon; you hate my kind. I tricked you; you should not want this from me.”

“Do not tell me what I should or should not do or want. Like I said, I learnt much about you over the last few days, and what I now know makes me crave you just as much as I did before.”

Then, to her surprise, he bit the side of her neck.

Valerie flinched from the strength of his bite, from the words he uttered.I must get away. She pushed harder against him, trying to force them apart.

He is not thinking clearly. He couldn’t be. What he was saying went against his nature, against the hatred his kind held. Bedding a Witch? Knowingly and willingly?

“You are toying with me.” Clearly, he was doing this because he learned she’d grown to care for him.

The fact he’d pulled her desire from her, made her feel warm and fuzzy, had been a strange sensation. No one else could make her heart race in the way it did when he touched her... like it was starting to now.

Valerie refused to be made a fool of.

“Am I?” He grabbed both her hands and pushed her down by her wrists, forcing her to lie back against the pillows around her. “I do not think I would be this hard if I merely wished to toy with you.”

To punctate his statement, he lowered his hips to press his hardened cock against her. With one of her legs between his, she felt him slip over her thigh, and her chest flushed, both in shock and, surprisingly, arousal.

“The only game I wish to play is the one where you pretend you do not want me, which only makes me more desperate.” He brought his mouth up higher to dart his tongue against the shell of her ear. He lowered his voice to a whisper when he said, “And yet I smell it on you.”

A strangled noised squeezed its way past her throat.

Before she could say or do anything, he moved his mouth to bring it over hers. Geryon kissed her deeply, and her lips moved under the force of his own.

He still tastes so sweet.Like the sweetest candy. A rush of goosebumps trailed over her skin, and she couldn’t deny herself just a sip of his mouth.

What am I doing? She asked herself this, yet her lips were moving of their own accord, kissing him back.I need to stop this. His tongue gently came to sweep against hers, and her stomach clenched. She lapped it with her own in greeting.

Why was it every time he kissed her, made her take in the taste of his mouth, Valerie lost her sense of reasoning? Did he even know he held this kind of power over her?

He came closer, sliding his legs down so that he rested more firmly against her.

He tilted his head the other way and deepened the kiss further, just as he thrust his hips against her. The upward movement caused his thigh to rub directly against her folds, and a spark shot through her.

Valerie was getting wetter with each touch, but she fought against it, her need for logic overpowering her arousal.

He is using my feelings against me, manipulating me.She clenched her eyes tight. This was why she didn’t like revealing what she hid in the depths of her soul.

She broke away from the kiss by forcing her head to the side.

“Stop.” She fisted her hands. “Remove yourself from me.”

He chuckled and merely pressed his lips between her cheek and ear.

“You know what I am now. That means I can be open about what I can sense from you.” The tip of his nose tickled the tightened ridge of her neck from her stretched position as he trailed it down her skin, his tongue following behind. “Delicious. I much prefer your scent to the human’s you hid behind. It is stronger when you are aroused; it smells warm.”

She wished she’d managed to contain the deep breath that fell from her. She knew she hadn’t revealed any of her body’s inner turmoil, but the fact he could scent it on her was disconcerting.

She feared she was beginning to reveal it in her voice, too.

“Your life is much longer than a human’s.”

Around his eyes, she could see a crinkle of enjoyment. Or was it humour? She wasn’t sure, but it was there.

“So?”

“I wanted to keep you when you were human. Now, I can do so for much longer.” He licked at the seam of her lips. “Their lives are so fleeting. I am sure you have at least a hundred years before your beauty even begins to fade.” A grin spread on his face as his eyes darted over hers. “I am sure I will not care when it does.”
