He turned to leave and stopped. "I know you don't see it as much, but I see it as a blessing that Nalaila survived that hell. Yes, she is trapped inside her wolf but she is alive. And as long as there is life, there is hope."
Long after Adanel left, Wolfaraine remained outside staring into the darkness. Staring into the shadows of his painful pasts, and his bleak future.
CHAPTER 32. UNSEEN DEMONS. WELCOMING ARMS.
Ismena felt like she was being shielded by the safest blanket in the whole universe.
She woke to that feeling, but it was not a safety blanket, it was something more. Strong familiar arms were wrapped around her from behind, engulfing her in a firm hug.
"Wolfe...?" She whispered, drowsily.
Is this real or it's just a dream?
Oh, God, I'll offer my arms on a platter to your altar for this to be real.
"Let me hold you like this. Just for a moment..." He groaned, burying his nose in her neck.
His voice sounded real enough. His warm breath on her neck felt real enough.
Her eyes landed on the wall clock directly in front of her, it was four in the morning. It was still dark outside too.
She tried to think of everything that has been going on between them these past few weeks, but her head wasn't working.
Her heart yearned for him too much.
"Just for a moment..." He muttered again, without pulling away from her.
Ismena nodded. She adjusted herself so that he was scooping her perfectly from behind. The man practically swallowed her up with his size. It feels heavenly.
She has been cold all night, but now she feels warm. Her heart which has been feeling so heavy all week was suddenly as light as a feather. She squeezed her eyes close to revel at this moment.
No one moved. No one talked.
They stayed like that for a long time.
She couldn't see him, so she used her other senses to take in other details about him. He was still fully clothed, even his boots were still on.
So, he was just coming back from the Elephant Clan. Her room was the first stop he made.
What is going on? How is he holding up?
So many questions she wanted to ask him so badly. But, she has no idea if she should, especially in a moment as delicate as this.
She wanted so badly to comfort him, but she doesn't know how to reach him.
So, she settled for holding him in her arms.
He cushioned her well, she felt warmth seeping through her body. Yet, she wiggled to get closer to him like she wanted to disappear into his body.
At the continuous slight wiggle of her plump ass, his body began to change. she felt him on her butt.
His body changed until he was as hard as a rod, poking vigorously at her.
His arms contracted around her. "Oh, hell. I apologize for this—"
"There is nothing to be sorry for. Nothing." She whispered, cutting him off.
Two weeks away from his arms and suddenly being held in it, her body felt hot all over. She felt like a drug abuser trying to get clean, only to be faced by her favorite drug.
