His hands are all bloody from catching these bullets and they hurt, but he did not care.
The fight lasted for a long while. Adam stood with his binoculars in awe and rage. And fear.
He never believed what the others said about the werewolf leader being so strong, powerful and so invincible that nothing can touch him. He never believed when his fellow hunters even proceeded to call him a god.
What he was seeing was too much for his eyes, for his binoculars. He had underestimated this animal.
The werewolf leader fought relentlessly. Never weakening. Killing his men with one hand and catching bullets made with rhodium using the other hand. All alone.
Shit. Almost all the wolf hunters he came with have died.
"Cover me. I will get him myself!!" He shouted at the remaining wolf hunters, grabbing two machine guns at the same time.
Adam began firing shots after shots as he ran towards the werewolf leader. He was firing from behind.
Yet, the werewolf leader caught them all. With a loud roar, he turned and faced the direction those shots were coming from.
But, another bullet stuck the same wounded leg again. He roared in sheer discomfort. Instead of removing it, he began running in the direction of those bullets.
He and the hunters met in the middle of the woods, and the fight continued.
One, he tore his head from his shoulder.
Another one, he kicked down and stomped hard on his chest. Satisfaction courses through him as he heard the sound of bones shattering and blood gushing out from all parts of him.
He killed three others in the same way. And two more.
The last Wolfhunter remaining, had terror blanketing his eyes. Eyes that were smug all through the night was suddenly filled with so much terror. Adam can practically see his death coming.
But then again, Wolfaraine always leaves a messenger behind, who will deliver his messages.
So, he grabbed hold of the last man's arms and yanked them out of their sockets. They dangled in his hands, while the man fell down and roared in sheer agony.
Then, he shifted back to his full mortal form. Bent down and looked at the last man.
"Go back and tell your cohorts to avoid me and my people." The words came out in a deadly calm growl. "Tell them that I will come for you all one day. And I will destroy every last one of you."
With that, he turned and in that slow, steady, and regal steps of his, he walked back to his house, leaving a hundred trail of dead wolf hunters behind him.
CHAPTER 11. FEELING THAT'S NOT RIGHT.
Simon Blackgun has the hospital surrounded by his men. He was happy and almost giddy with anticipation.
By the end of today, the Successful will be back in the lab, with her child. He has not heard from Dr. Beloca but he knows that after the attack they launched early this morning in New York City, they already have Number 6.
"I see the target's room." A male voice came through the small chip attached to his ear.
"Stay in position. Do not attack until I give the word." Simon commanded, looking through the binoculars to the hospital surroundings in calculation. He does not want this mission to go wrong.
"Copy that, sir." Came the response.
The flicker of light from the gold-colored ring in his pocket caught his attention again, and Simon couldn't help a cynical snort.
That piece of jewelry is just good for nothing. According to Dr. Beloca, it should have led him straight to The Successful and her child but the Ring barely flickered light all through his search for them.
He has no idea why the facility is so obsessed with the Ring when it couldn't do any work. It—
His thoughts cut off suddenly as a bright light shone through the Ring. In a few seconds, it went from flickering lights to full-blown blue light shining through all its pearls.
