With a smile growing on my own face, I stepped back, closing the door, and went back to the bathtub with butterflies dancing in my chest. I didn’t want to think about why going to this cake tasting with him meant so much to me, but it did. Maybe just because things wouldn’t be awkward between us forever.
Even if I’d never forget a cock like his.
I wasn’t shy about the number of names in my “little black book”, but this one was hands down the best I’d ever seen. Perfectly pink, veined along the shaft. The tip was thick around the edges. And his sack was perfectly proportioned.
It was beautiful. I’d be using it for writing inspiration for years to come.
I drained the bathtub and started getting ready. Since I hadn’t thought to bring a hair dryer, I did the best I could with a twisted bun and got dressed in some clothes I’d borrowed from Birdie.
When I walked out of the bedroom, I found Jonas sitting in the living room, flipping through a magazine.
“What are you reading?” I asked.
He flipped it over, showingThe Economiston the cover.
“Lame,” I said.
He rolled his eyes. “Let’s get out of here.”
We walked down the sidewalk together and got into my car, since his was still at the club.
“Where are we going?” I asked after we had buckled up.
“Seaton Bakery. Do you know where it is?”
My eyes widened with glee. “Birdie and I go there all the time! IadoreChris and Gayle. Are they making Tess and Derek’s cake?”
He nodded, a smile in his eyes. “I think Chris does most of the baking though, and he has a few flavors he wants us to try out.”
“Well, that’s easy,” I said, putting my car into gear. “All three. We don’t even need to taste them.”
Jonas chuckled. “Try telling Tess that. She’s loving all the wedding planning stuff.”
“And Derek?”
“Somehow enjoying it even more than Tess?” he said.
I laughed. “Is that so?”
“Don’t be sexist,” he teased. “Guys can enjoy wedding planning too.”
“Especially when they get a babe like your sister,” I said. “She’s so pretty.”
A look of pride crossed his face. I recognized it from all the other times he spoke of his family. “She’s a great girl. Especially now that she’s grown into her teeth.”
I laughed out loud. “I’m telling her you said that.”
“You wouldn’t dare.”
I glanced over to him, raising an eyebrow. “Try me.”
He shook his head. “You, Mara Taylor, will be the death of me.”
I couldn’t help but think it was the other way around.
