Page 95 of Worth the Risk
“I left the boys at home. You’re welcome,” Justin said with a bow.
“Plural?”
“Plural,” Justin confirmed. He scratched his nose and pushed past Aaron and Gregory into the kitchen and onto the back patio.
“What time is it?” Gregory asked.
“It’s just after twelve.” Aaron handed him the coffee. “You should go change. Last night’s leather isn’t a good look on anyone.”
Gregory looked down and found himself shirtless, in leather pants, sans boots.
“Right.” He took a drink of the coffee and passed it back to Aaron. “Give me a few.”
Gregory wandered off back to his bedroom, peeling himself out of his leathers and grabbing a towel from over his door. In the bathroom, he turned the taps on hot and waited for the water to warm before stepping under the scalding spray.
Washing between his legs, his cock jumped at the attention, and Gregory wracked his brain to try and remember the last time he’d came. He’d been so busy after work with Verity, that he hadn’t had much time or interest. But his cock seemed interested now, probably an after effect from seeing all the dynamic play happening at Rapture last night.
Gregory rested his forearm on the shower wall and lowered his head, fisting his cock with his other hand and stroking himself roughly. He quickly hardened and needed less than two minutes to reach his release, however unsatisfying it was. He’d thought of last week with Landon, the way it had looked when his arm vanished inside of Landon’s stretched fucking hole, and that had been all it took.
God, he missed Landon.
With a sigh, Gregory turned the water off and stepped out of the shower. He dried himself and threw on a pair of jeans and went in search of Justin and Aaron. He found them on his patio, greasy French fries in hand.
“Aren’t those mine?” he asked, snatching one from Justin’s hand before it reached his mouth.
“Not with an attitude like that, they’re not,” Aaron chided, taking the fry out of Gregory’s hand and passing it back to Justin with a smirk.
Gregory collapsed into one of his patio chairs and picked up the coffee Aaron had brought him. Taking a drink, he closed his eyes.
“Tired?” Justin asked.
“Wiped the fuck out, to be honest.” Gregory angled his head toward his friends and cracked his eyes open.
“Are we being honest? Because I’ve gotta tell you, this whole Rapture thing is rather shocking,” Justin deliberately shoved two French fries into his mouth while Gregory watched.
“I would have thought you’d go to New York after him,” Aaron said.
“It was my first thought,” Gregory shared, “But it’s not what he needed. This whole situation is shit timing, but it wasn’t the time for me to be selfish. Landon has a friend who needed his help. That should take priority.”
“Someone you’ve never met is more important than your relationship with your boy?” Justin asked with a raised eyebrow.
“This isallabout my relationship with Landon. If I want to be a good Dom to him, then I need to make sure he has what he needs. And what he needs right now is Verity.” Gregory took a long drink of his coffee and set it back down onto the table.
“Huh,” Justin mused.
“Are you saying you wouldn’t do the same for Micah?”
“Well, my first thought would be that what’s best for Micah is me. In any situation, but I suppose that is a bit self-serving.”
“A bit?” Aaron chortled.
“Seriously, though. You think as a dom, the best way to be there for your sub is by physically being there. That’s really sort of, I don’t even know the word, gracious, of you to view Landon’s needs the way you are.”
Justin ate the last French fry.
“Maybe I’m just trying to convince myself it’s not a big deal he left me for New York again,” Gregory said with a sad laugh. “I know that’s not it. I know if Jack hadn’t gotten sick, Landon wouldn’t have left. It’s just all so symbolic and surprisingly painful.”
“Does it hurt you here?” Aaron teased, pressing his hands together over his heart.
