“I worry about business,” he sighed. “I’m sure it’s nothing, but I just don’t want them to see me as less and have it impact how they think of Rapture.”
Gregory smacked his ass and propelled him up the walkway to the front door. “You know that’s ridiculous. Three Doms, three subs. You’re in good company, I promise.”
Gregory rang the doorbell. “Besides, I assure you everyone is going to be focused on Keith anyway.”
“They would have been focused on me if you hadn’t let my dick out of that cage,” Landon grumbled, torn between whether he liked that revelation or hated it. “But what’s the deal with Keith?”
“Keith just got himself involved wi…” Gregory stopped talking when the door opened and revealed Keith as the person behind it.
“Gregory,” Keith greeted with a respectful dip of his head. “Landon, good to see you again.”
“You, too.” Landon held out his hand and Keith shook it.
“Everyone is out back. Can I get you anything?”
“A beer would be cool,” Landon suggested.
“Yep,” Gregory confirmed, situating his hand on the small of Landon’s back to steer him through the house.
“What about Keith?” Landon whispered over his shoulder as they stepped onto the patio.
Gregory chuckled. “You’ll see.”
“Friends!” Micah exclaimed with a wave. He was sitting at a small iron patio table with Justin and Aaron.
Keith squeezed past them, and he set their beers on the table. Then, he rounded the chairs and took a seat behind Justin’s chair, facing the yard.
“Is he?” Landon asked, pointing at Keith’s back.
Micah looked wary, but Justin brushed him off. “He’s learning. Don’t worry about him.”
“’Kay.” Landon glanced at Gregory, who gestured to one of the vacant chairs. Landon took a seat and pushed down a fleeting moment of jealousy that he felt for Keith who was allowed to sit at his master’s feet. He felt silly, though, as soon as the thought had passed. Gregory would most likely let Landon sit wherever he wanted to sit, and he wouldn’t ask Landon to sit on the floor after he’d just expressed the concerns he had about his business.
Landon eased into the chair and took a drink of the beer Keith had left for him. Gregory rubbed his forearm and leaned back into his seat.
“So, Landon, how long have you owned Rapture?” Justin asked.
“Four years. I inherited the church after a death in the family and Verity and I decided to renovate it.”
“You should have invited them,” Aaron said, taking a sip of his beer and glancing between Landon and Gregory. “I mean, if this is serious, we should work on meshing the friends.”
“It’s serious,” Gregory confirmed.
“Maybe we can get together next week or something. Sundays are generally their relax and do literally nothing day.”
“I want a relax and do nothing day,” Aaron commiserated.
“They’ve done it for years. As long as I’ve known them, actually.”
“How long?”
“Since college, so over ten years now.” Landon chuckled and shook his head. “God, that makes me feel really fucking old.”
“None of that,” Justin waved his hand. “You’re all babies.”
“Anyone else hungry? I’m starving.” Micah rubbed his stomach and jiggled it around.
“I could eat,” Gregory confirmed.
