Aaron: How was the date?
Aaron: Well, I assume that means the date led to sex since you’re ignoring me.
Aaron: GREGORY I MISS YOU ANSWER ME.
Me: Sorry, I was... occupied ;)
Gregory took a bite of his sandwich, and Aaron replied almost immediately.
Aaron: I bet you were. So dinner went well?
Me: Dinner went well.
Aaron: Future plans?
Me: What are you doing tomorrow night?
Aaron: Moping alone because you’re going to be busy probably, and because Justin and Micah are off doing God knows what with Keith now. That’s weird?
Me: It’s not weird. It makes sense. Micah needs someone to boss around or he’s going to blow up on Justin one day. They’re perfect together, but Keith will balance things I think.
Aaron: We’ll see. But plans?
Me: You want to come to Rapture?
Aaron: Of course.
Me: I need to meet you there though. I have plans before they open.
Aaron: Please don’t get bodily fluids on anything I might be touching later.
Me: I’ll do my best.
Aaron: You’re a terrible human. I’ll see you at nine tomorrow.
Gregory dropped his phone onto the table and finished his sandwich. He had half an hour before his next meeting and decided to call Keith on his walk back to the office.
“Hello?”
“Hey, it’s Gregory.”
“Oh!” Keith sounded shocked.
“Is this a bad time?” Gregory asked him, taking a drink of his lemonade.
“No! No. Just unexpected. Thanks for getting back to me.”
“Yeah, no worries. What’s up?”
“I just wanted to talk more about the Justin and Micah thing. Do you mind?” Keith had this adorable tremble in his voice when he got nervous. If Gregory had a thing for the meek and mild submissive type, Keith would have been in trouble. But he didn’t, so he just found Keith’s nerves endearing.
“Go for it.”
“Is it weird?” Keith blurted.
Gregory chuckled. “Not weird, no. It’s common. Maybe a little unexpected at first, but I was just telling Aaron that it makes sense.”
“Oh, God, you guys are already talking about it?” Keith bemoaned.
