I'm terrified, yet flattered. It seems Sierra Rose was right, I do have a secret admirer.

-Presley

After six grueling hours of checking on my patients and handing out meds I'm finally able to rest my weary feet at the nurses station. There is still lots for me to do, including a mountain of paperwork that needs to be filled out before I get to go home in four hours.

The behind the scenes hoopla is my least favorite thing about my job. There shouldn't be as much paperwork as there is, but being that it's government sanctioned there isn't really anything I can do but comply.

My patients mean everything to me, and I'm going to miss them when I move after graduation, but I see no other way. My feelings for the Donovan brothers are too strong, and my desperation to run away because of it is too great. Nothing is going to stop me.

Kai's Got A Big Dick: There's two tacos with your name on it, in the bag in the fridge.

Me: Thank you, for always helping to take care of me. You do understand my reasoning for wanting my privacy, don't you?

Kai's Got A Big Dick: I do, but I don't think you understand our obsession with keeping you safe. It'll be easier if you just tell us.

Me: No, it'll be easier if you just mind your own business, but that's neither here nor there.

Because he's pissing me off all over again, I change his name in my phone, and it's not healthy to think about your stepbrother having a big dick anyways.

Kai The Guard Dog: Why do you always have to be so damn hardheaded?

Me: Ditto.

My phone buzzes several more times but I don't check it. He's just going to irritate me even more, and another argument with him isn't going to get my work done.

Part of me wants to go on strike and not eat the tacos, but I'm starving so why should I suffer because they're idiots .

My heart leaps inside my chest when I see what he added to the bag that he made me. He's an asshole, but he's my asshole. It makes my heart sick to even think about how well they know me, and how bad it's going to hurt when I walk away.

Reese’s cups are my favorite treat, and if you don't like them I can't trust you. It's as simple as that.

Getting lost in my paperwork proves easy once I've been fed, and by the time I give out another round of meds it's the end of my shift.

Gunner: Stop by my office before you leave.

I sigh, because I was almost out the door. My brain can't handle a lecture from Daddy Dearest right now. I wish I could tell him to fuck off, but he is my boss, and this could be about work.

Internally, I scream, but it doesn’t help. To make me feel a little better, I change his name in my phone to my nickname for him. Which does help.

Daddy Dearest: Coming?

Me: Yes. Do I need to clock out first?

I'm hoping he says no because that means it's work related.

Daddy Dearest: Yes.

Fuck. Unfortunately, I knew that would be his answer. I walk slowly, and greet everyone along the way just to irritate him further.

Gunner opens the door like he's been waiting his whole life for me. He ushers me inside, and pins me up against the wall before I can catch my breath.

Meeting his gaze, my breath catches in my throat. There's a storm brewing in his beautiful blue eyes. My mind conjures up a million things to say, but my mouth can't relay any of them.

Leaning down he nibbles on my bottom lip, my back arches me into him as my response. Never in a million years would I have thought this was possible.

His voice is laced with carnal promises. "Say it."

"Say what?" I tremble.

"What do you call me when I'm not around?"

Oh. My clit throbs against my already soaked panties. "Daddy." I whisper.

"Say it louder." He rubs his erection against my belly.

My pussy aches for him to be inside of me. "Daddy."

The word leaves my mouth in reverence, because he takes care of me better than my real parents ever have. They both do, and I’ll never forget it.

He palms my ass just before he places his lips on mine. Our tongues met in victory. My knees buckle, and he catches me without breaking out of our kiss.

It's magical, and explosive, and fireworks shoot off in my mind. My hands reach around his middle making him deepen the kiss.

A knock sounds at the door, reluctantly we break apart. I touch my swollen lips. “Come in.” Gunner’s voice is hoarse and filled with desire.

It’s Ms. Jones, Gunner’s secretary. “Dr. Jekyll is ready for your weekly meeting. May I tell him you’re on your way?”

He nods, and I seize the opportunity to get the hell out of dodge. “I’ll see you at family dinner?”

I scrunch my nose up at the word family, because stepsisters shouldn’t kiss their stepbrother.

He smirks at my question, clearly amused at my slip up. “Yeah, I’ll see you then. Take it easy on Kai, please. You know how sensitive he is when you get mad at him.”

I relax as a giggle bubbles up my throat. “I cross my heart. Sometimes, I wish you were more concerned when it comes to my anger.”

He shrugs. “It bothers me, but I know we’ll always work it out. We need to talk about what just happened.”

“No we don’t. See you on Sunday.”

“Pres—ley.” He shouts behind me, but I’m already gone.

I speed walk all the way to the front of the building. The security guard waves me through, and I step out into the creepy ass parking lot.

The carnival music plays its lullaby from the old gaming station near my car. I don’t know why they still use the lights and music every night, but I hate it.

A flash of red captures my attention, but when I look in that general direction I see nothing out of the ordinary.

Hitting the unlock button on my key fob, proves useless, because my car door was already unlocked. Which is strange, but my mind has been running in a million different directions lately, so I guess I forgot to lock it.

Laying in my seat, is a folded piece of fancy stationary. I look around, but there is no one else there. Who could have laid this here? One thing is for certain, I can’t tell my stepbrothers. They’d lose their shit and really never let me out of their sight.

I rake my fingers down the length of the paper, taking in the elegant script.

Dearest Presley Kate,

All summer long I’ve loved you from afar, now it’s time for us to meet. Soon, I’ll make you my Queen. Are you ready to rule?

Forever Yours,

TKOH

My heart gets stuck in my throat, because I remember locking my door. Who could this be? And is he as crazy as his friend Sierra Rose?
