“We get it, we’ve all been in situations like this,” Titus speaks up from behind Nate and for some reason that kind of fills me with reassurance.
“Thanks Nate,” I say as he opens the front door. I wave bye to the other two and then make my way out the door.
“I’ll be in touch,” he says as he shakes my hand.
“Not a word of this to Morgan, I don’t want to stress her out any more than I already have,” I give a tight lipped smile before turning and walking towards my truck.
Climbing in, I start the engine and pull out of the dirt road and drive towards home.
Riggs would call when he needed me, but right now, I just wanted to get home to my wife.
Cuffed to the bed, her sheen covered body lay beneath me.
I know I said I would teach her to pleasure me, but I needed her more than I wanted her.
“Pacey,” she moans as three of my fingers stretch her out, slowly fucking her.
“I know baby, I know,” my voice is featherlike against her skin as my lips drag down her body and dip between her thighs.
“But I need to taste you Sunflower, I need you to come on my tongue,” my cock is throbbing, cum seeping from the tip as I hover my warm mouth over her cunt, teasing her before my tongue swipes through her folds, rolling and rubbing against her swollen clit, fingers buried to the knuckle in her tight pussy.
“Oh god,” she moans, her back arching as she pulls on the silver metal cuffs.
“There’s no god baby, only me,” I lift my mouth for only a moment and her sage green eyes meet mine.
“Don’t pull too hard Sunflower, the cuffs will nip at that beautiful skin of yours,” her breathy pants turn me on as I focus on her clit, my fingers quickly bringing her to her impending release.
“Pacey, oh, like that, yes, yes,” she moans, her hips gyrating over my fingers, her greedy pussy wanting more.
It had only been a week since our first night together and we have been inseparable ever since.
Any given moment I am on her, she is on me. I am drunk on her.
“I’m going to…” she struggles to get her words out as her orgasm slams through her, her body trembling, back arching and I use my hand to press on her lower stomach and pelvis, holding her as I enjoy every ounce of her.
Standing, my lips glisten with her arousal and her cheeks are pretty and pink.
“Fuck you look so pretty when you cum,” smirking down at her, I kneel on the bed and grip her knees, pushing them into her chest as I slip my hard cock inside of her in one, swift thrust.
“Oh god,” she cries out as I pound against her.
“Do you have another one in you baby; can I coax another orgasm from you?” I tease as I slip in and out of her, rolling my hips deeper.
“Yes,” she whispers, her eyes closing and I know it’s not going to be long before I fill her full of me, my orgasm is teetering.
“Give it to me baby.”
I drill into her, my cock throbbing.
My fingers are on her clit as I help bring her towards another orgasm, and it’s not long before she is free falling with me as I fill her pretty pussy full of me.
Laying in bed, Morgan’s head on my chest and my fingers tangle in the ends of her golden hair. My left-hand curls around my whiskey glass, as I stare at the empty wall ahead of me.
We always seem to sleep in my room, not sure why but I am also not complaining.
My mind ticks over with the shit that is brewing, and I know it’s not going to be long before the suits are back and demanding the land.
I needed this squashed with Marty.
We said there was a mole, but I didn’t think it would have been him.
Especially as he was so close to my dad and Riggs.
But people do things for strange reasons, and I am sure there will be some cock and ball story he will spurt when we finally confront him.
Then there was Conrad.
The guy who we thought was the mole.
Also our friend.
Would Marty kill him? Maybe.
Why though? Unless Marty is the mole, and Conrad was going to out him.
Only way to shut him up was to beat him to death.
Sighing, I tap my finger on the glass before taking a mouthful and wincing at the burn that laces my throat.
I just wanted to live out my life on the ranch, watching the sunsets and sunrises whilst listening to the birds sing. I want to sit on my porch and watch the winter snow melt and the meadows bloom.
I’m a simple man, wanting a simple life.
Honestly though, I didn’t even want the badge.
Put me on the back of a horse alongside my wife and let me herd cows.
My phone buzzes and I try to move without waking Morgan. Placing my whiskey glass down, I reach for my phone and see Riggs’ name.
“Bunkhouse. Now.”
It’s past midnight and my eyes are sore, my body tired but when he calls a meeting at the bunkhouse, you know it’s serious.
Sliding her from me, she stirs and a soft moan passes her lips.
Her eyes flutter at me, blinking a few times.
“I’ll be back soon baby, I’ve got to go meet Riggs,” she pouts and her brows furrow. “Don’t leave the house,” and she rambles something incoherent before rolling and dragging the bedsheet with her, wrapping it around her naked body.
Dragging my dirty jeans from the floor, I tug them up then pull my tee over my head. I bring it to my nose and do the sniff test. Not great, but not rotten either.
Running my hand through my hair, I pick my hat from the back of the door and slip it onto my head. I catch my reflection in the mirror and I give myself a smile.
Proud of the man I am becoming.
Never thought I would feel this whole, and yet here I am.
Wanting nothing more than an easy life with my wife.
My eyes glisten a little, my lips curled into a smile and my stubble neat and my moustache growing nicely.
Glancing over my shoulder again, I watch her for just a moment, and I would love nothing more than to be back in bed with her.
Pulling in a deep breath, I step outside the room and close the door softly behind me and leave her behind.
Hated it the second I stepped out that door.
Walking down the stairs, I dodge the creaky board that I still haven’t fixed and make a mental note to make sure I get that done as soon as I have a free half an hour.
Swiping the truck keys from the side, I unlock the front door and step out on the porch before locking it behind me. I check it three times to make sure she is safely tucked away.
I really wish she would get a phone, but apparently, she doesn’t need one.
Scoffing a laugh at the way she crossed her arms in front of her chest and stomped her little foot like a bratty teenager when I brought the conversation up will always be one of my favorites.
That and the day I watched her walk down the aisle.
Up there in my top memories.
Climbing in the truck, I yawn before scrubbing my face then turn the engine on. Driving slowly out the drive, the skies are violet, the stars shining brightly and I would do anything to be stargazing with her on the back of my truck right about now.
The drive is short to Rivera Ranch and I can see the dimly lit light of the bunkhouse glowing.
Slowing to a halt, I cut the engine and drop out of the truck. Tiredness bites behind my eyes causing them to sting but I shrug it off. My heavy legs lead me to the front door and I knock three times.
I don't wait to be called in and I don't wait for the door to be opened for me, I push the handle down and step up and over the threshold.
Riggs and Tripp's eyes are on me, they both give a heavy nod as I close the metal door behind me.
“Evening,” my gruff voice fills the room and Tripp holds his whiskey up.“That bad?” I lift my hat from my head and rub my hand around the back of my neck and try to rub the tension out.
Riggs lets out a drawn out, heavy sigh as he stands from his chair and begins to pace.
“What's happened?” and his dark eyes find mine, his hand running over his beard.
“I think I've worked out who is behind everything...” he trails off, eyes bouncing to Tripp before they're back on me.
“Who?”
Riggs takes a mouthful of his whiskey and then winces as the burn hits the back of his throat.
“I can't say...” his eyes lift to mine, silence burning through the room like wildfire, tension growing by the moment, “not yet anyway, I just need to check a few things out.”
“Do you know?” I point to Tripp, but he rolls his lips and shakes his head softly.“Right,” I take four steps forward and drag the chair out. “Where are the cowboys?” I look around and furrow my brows.
“Sent them down the fields.”
I nod.
“Are we still sure on the mole?” I find myself asking, looking around the bunk house.
“Pretty.”
“Pretty sure doesn't fill me with confidence.”
“I just need a bit more time,” Riggs tone doesn't change, it's flat and monotone.
“Everyone is too quiet which makes me nervous,” I admit. “I don't trust Marty, not after what happened with Conrad.”
“Luke is going over to the cell tomorrow, Austin is keeping watch on Marty, we know his loyalty is with us. What happened to Conrad was shit, yes, but it helped...” he trails off and my stomach twists with anxiety.
“Do you think it was Marty?” Tripp asks and he looks at both of us.
“I don't think so...” and the hesitation in his voice has my mind ticking.
I hum at his response.
“We need to start moving in now, we need to maybe get the suits back here, see if we can get a reaction from them... someone is behind them and like I said, I think I know who is orchestrating it but I just need to do a bit more digging to be sure.” He drags a chair out and slumps himself in it.
“How long do you think you'll need?” I ask, tapping my fingers on the table.
“A week, maybe two.”
Me and Tripp nod.
“Right, well let's focus on that then. Bring Luke by tomorrow, today... I don't even know what the time is,” I sigh, rubbing my hand over my face.
“It's all connected, I know that much... just need to work out if Marty is working with them or solo... did you try that number again?” Riggs asks as he downs the rest of his whiskey and slams it on the wooden table.
“I passed it onto Nate, he is going to look into it,” Riggs nods.
“Good, good... this is good,” Riggs stands and places his hands on his hips.
“Xavier offered to stand behind us if we need it.”
“It's always good having people on our side,” Tripp agrees and Riggs mutters what sounds like yes I agree .
“I said we will let them know if we need them.”
“No problem.” Riggs sighs. “Okay, so, leave it with me, I just need a bit longer and then we can move in when I have it confirmed.”
“Sounds good,” I push up from my own seat at the same time as Tripp.“Meet me at the office, eight a.m. tomorrow.” I tell Riggs as I lift my hat and place it back on my head and he gives a shallow nod.
“Has he spoken yet?”
“Not a fucking word. Should have just put a bullet in his head.”
“Too easy,” Tripp reminds Riggs and he chuckles softly.
“He will talk, we just need to get it out of him,” I admit, turning on my heel and grabbing my keys from my front pocket.
“Hmm, I'm not so sure,” Riggs says as he follows behind me and I tug the door open, holding it for Riggs, Riggs holding it for Tripp.
“Have faith, brother. He'll break eventually.” I smile as I step over the threshold and out into the cool summer night.
“You could always use Aspen,” Tripp rushes out which gets a shove in his shoulder from Riggs.
“No fucking way.”
“I mean...” I stop in my tracks and turn to face him, “that isn't a bad shout,” and Riggs shakes his head violently from side to side.
“No.” his voice is harsh, and tone is quipped.
“I bet he would talk,” Tripp says nonchalant and Riggs throws him a dagger glare as he walks back towards the house. “Just saying,” Tripp hold his hands up but a soft laugh escapes him as he does.
“Idiot,” Riggs grumbles and follows me to my truck.
“Think about it,” I say with a little hesitation.
“I don't need to think about it,” he shuts me down in an instant as he tugs on the door of his truck.
“Fine,” I roll my eyes and climb into my own truck and slam the door.
He glares at me, and I give him a cocky smile before flipping him off. Pushing the truck into reverse, my wheels spin on the dirt and I am pulling out of the driveway and going home to my girl.
Freshly out the shower, I walk into my bedroom and just stand at the side of the bed, watching her.
She's on her front; her golden hair is spread behind her and her lips are parted as soft breaths escape.
Is it normal to be as infatuated with her as I am?
How the hell do you fall that quickly?
Stepping forward, I pull the covers back and I slip in beside her.
She murmurs as she shifts and rolls on her side.
“Only me baby,” I whisper against her ear and place a soft kiss on her cheek as I wrap my arm over her body and slide her close to me, my face buried in her neck as I inhale her scent and within seconds, I am asleep.
