M y newest employ would be here momentarily. Over the years I’d thankfully not had to hire many administrative assistants, but for this position, it wasn’t going to be someone chosen by human resources from a temp company. This time, I’d actually picked and chosen the woman myself, and she was someone I was currently involved with sexually. That was bound to make things awkward for most, but I was not like other men.

Everything in my life was in order, and I rarely ever deviated from any of it. Of course, hiring Brynn Davis was the biggest, and potentially, the most dangerous of deviations. Still, I ignored the quickening of my pulse as I waited for her to arrive upstairs. I knew she was already in the building because I had a camera view of the lobby.

This conference call would hopefully be over before she made it up here. As I focused on answering the questions others had about the microchip, I had just about finished when I heard a soft knock. I knew who it was, but before I could tell her to enter, the knob turned.

I was currently staring out the window desperate to get off of this call, so when asked if I could attend a follow-up call to their proposed time, I responded. “Yes.” They disconnected on their end, so I put my cell phone down and slowly turned.

“You,” she whispered. “It’s you .”

For a moment, I stared stoically at Brynn, mostly because I was drinking in the sight of her. I started at her feet, then slowly slid my gaze up her long legs, flat belly, and breasts which heaved ever so slightly. By the time I made it to her face, our eyes met, and she had the “deer caught in the headlights” look in those dark orbs of hers.

I pushed back from my desk as my chair slid over the marble flooring with ease. She was still standing there, so I motioned for her to enter. Once she did, the door closed behind her on its own and the loud thud caused her to jump.

“You,” she said once more.

“Good morning, Miss Davis. My name’s Adrian Ben–“

“I know who you are now,” she interrupted.

Arching my brow as I rose to my feet, she caught sight of my expression but said nothing more. I knew this would be a shock, and her deciding to stay to work for me was still very much uncertain. I emerged from behind my desk and walked over to her. She took my extended hand, and I led her to the chair opposite mine.

“Take a seat, Brynn.”

As soon as she was seated, I sat on the very edge of the desk just within reach of her. She immediately began to fidget as her eyes dropped to the floor. Well, maybe she would see my Grecian oxfords as one foot was firmly planted on the floor and the other dangled just above it. Having the type of money I did at my disposal, designers were at my beck and call, but I used the same one my family had used for years. He not only custom made every suit and tuxedo I’d ever owned, but he also designed the various shoes I wore on a daily basis.

“Is it dirty?” I asked, and her head rose immediately. I could see the confusion on her face, so I grinned broadly at her. “You’re looking at the floor as if there is something there which I assure you is impossible. I expect the purest of spaces so this marble is clean enough to eat off of.”

“It isn’t that. I just wasn’t expecting you to be my new boss.”

“I’m not only your new boss,” I reminded, watching as color bloomed in her cheeks.

I knew it wasn’t from embarrassment, but rather from arousal. Since the day I had reached out to her on Olympus, I hardly had to do anything to turn her on. I liked that sort of responsiveness in a submissive. Thinking about that aspect of our relationship was something new to me, and not something I needed to dwell on. If I kept on thinking of her in that way, she would find her face plastered against the glass or that sexy body of hers bent over my desk.

“In case you’re wondering, I can keep the two separated,” I offered in reassurance. Reaching out, I gently clutched her chin and turned her head toward me. “Would you like me to let you in on a secret?”

Brynn didn’t know how to answer if the confusion that filled her eyes was any indication, but she eventually nodded. Those dark orbs of hers were pinned to me, and for the first time ever, I almost felt like the vulnerable one when it was usually the other way around.

Clearing my throat, I started to speak. “None of the submissives on Olympus or at Lotus know who I am by name.”

“I didn’t.”

“I know, and I would’ve kept it that way forever if it hadn’t been for...” Realizing what I was about to admit, I shook my head to expel the rest of my explanation away.

“If it hadn’t been for what?”

She was ever the persistent one, and I supposed I had no one to blame but myself because each and every time we were together, I allowed her to voice anything on her mind. Brynn was new to the lifestyle, and wanting to keep her at ease during her training, I had been a lot more lax with her than I had ever been with others.

“It doesn’t matter. You come very qualified which is all that does matter.”

“May I ask you something?”

I expelled my breath and continued peering down onto her face. “What is it?”

“Did you purposely search for me? I hadn’t put my resume in here yet, but?—”

“Yes.” I cut her off before she could finish, then gave her a few seconds to digest it.

I didn’t elaborate, nor would I if she asked me to. I stroked my thumb over her lip causing it to lightly quiver before pulling it away and rising back to my feet. I returned at that moment to my seat, glad to have some distance between us, even if it was minimal at best. She was quiet which meant she had reverted back to fidgeting. As much as I wanted to leave well enough alone and talk about the job offer she had accepted, I found myself speaking anyway.

“Things at your former employer had become too dangerous for you. I had an opening to fill, and you possessed the necessary qualifications, so I offered you the job.”

“But you never told me who you were. If I had known, I would’ve–“

“You would’ve what? You would’ve turned down a position that paid you much more than the company you just left?”

“The money is–“

“Let’s not beat around the bush. If I had been anyone else, we wouldn’t be having this conversation right now. We will just address the elephant in the room and move on.”

“Which is?”

“You and I both know that one of your former bosses wanted more from you than you were willing to give. You claim to be having doubts now that you’ve learned my identity, but we both know I only make you want to stay even more.”

“I don’t fol–”

“I can see what you are trying your hardest not to tell me. Let’s just get it out in the open so we can move on. You and I both know that you want to do nothing more than drop to your knees right now and present yourself to me. Your relief and arousal are too intertwined. It’s evident that unlike Randall, you want me to touch you. In fact, it wouldn’t take more than a few minutes of my time to have you begging me to fuck you.”

Her gasp of outrage would’ve been amusing any other time, but I was very no nonsense in life, play, and especially business. She was shocked, and rightfully so, but I failed to see where there would be an issue on her end. On mine, however...

“As much as I would love to fill that open mouth of yours with something, I didn’t hire you for sex. I hired you because I had a legitimate position to fill, and I think you would do a great job at it. Make no mistake, seeing you sitting across from me does present inspiration, but I’m not going to act on it at the moment. We have some additional things to take care of before I can even allow my mind to go there.”

A flash of guilt filled her eyes before they went blank once more. It was as if I had caught her cheating, stealing, or worse. Her mind had gone to the same gutter mine usually resided, but there was the matter of paperwork to take care of. Remembering it, I opened the top drawer and produced a manilla folder. I pulled out the first of the three documents, then slid it across the table to her.

Brynn picked it up and seeing the seal from my personal attorney, she looked between it and me. “What is this?”

“It is a nondisclosure agreement, and considering our personal relationship, it needs to be signed before we can proceed further. Will signing it be a problem?”

‘No. At least, I don’t think so. May I read it first?”

Trying to tamp down my sudden annoyance was hard, but I managed to do so. “This particular one just states that my identity will go no further than this office. No one, and I mean, no one , can ever know who I am. Especially when at Lotus, no one is to know that you work for me, or my name.”

“No one there knows your name?”

“No submissive has ever learned that, so no. I intend to keep it that way. By acknowledging and signing this document, you’re vowing to make sure no one ever does. If you were to breach the agreement, your membership privileges on Olympus and at Lotus would certainly be terminated. You would also face severe legal issues. It should be no problem to continue referring to me as “Sir” as you always have. Is there?”

“N-no,” she stammered, then took the pen I offered her and quickly scribbled her signature in the fields I had marked for her.

I then produced the next document which was a standard one that all Benedict Technologies employees had to sign. It was a simple agreement to not share company secrets, or to use them for any type of gain. Brynn didn’t have any questions about that one and quickly signed the required fields. The last one, however, might pose a more difficult conversation between us.

I handed it to her, and instead of telling her what it was, I allowed her to look over it. When she set it down without signing, I arched a brow. “Is there a problem?”

“What is this saying?”

I didn’t immediately speak because I wasn’t sure how to respond without sounding like a presumptuous asshole. It was only when I realized that I was one did I attempt to explain.

“This basically says that the same rules I am bound to at Lotus apply to us when in a compromising position here in the office. You will not file a sexual harassment charge against me. If you’re ever made to feel uncomfortable, you’ll use your safe or caution word to stop anything that might transpire.”

“So, you did hire me for sex after all.”

This time, I did chuckle, and it was probably one of the very first times I ever did so in my office. “I’ll try my best to keep my hands off of you when we’re here, but you won’t make that easy on me.” Her eyes widened as I reached across the table and picked up her hand. “The very sight of you makes me want to do bad things, mainly to you, but occasionally with you as well. You’re like a bad habit.” I then picked up the pen she had dropped and placed it in her hand while my thumb stroked her soft skin. “Go ahead and sign it.”
