Page 270 of When We Fall: Part One
Cole slammed into me harder and faster. He held me against his body as he worked me over, and within moments, I was coming. He clamped his hand over my mouth, stifling the cry.
“That sound is just for me, baby. Just for me. Shh. Shh. You’re coming so pretty for me. That’s it, Rosebud. Fuck, you’re making such a perfect mess.”
He came with me, his feral groan in my ear before he bit hard against my shoulder. I tried to cry out, but he still had his hand over my mouth, muffling my noises.
His chest heaved against my back as his movements slowed to a stop.
“And just like your moans are only for me, mine are only for you,” he whispered before pulling free of my body and doing up his pants.
I quickly pulled my top up. Cole reached out and brought me back to my feet before putting me against the brick wall once more.
He cradled my face and forced me to look up at him.
“I fucking love you, Rosalie. If Enzo weren’t marrying you, you know it would be me. I’d have to fight Fox for it, but fucking bet I would. You’re my girl. The only fucking woman I will ever love. I promise you that. That is my vow to you. There will never be another one. You’re it for me. Tell me we’re it for you. No one else. Promise me you’ll never let another fucking dick into your body. That you will never love another man. Swear it to me. It’s just us.”
I stared into his wild blue eyes before nodding.
“Only my horsemen.”
“Ah, fuck,” he groaned before crushing his lips to mine again. “I love you. I fucking love you, baby.” He pulled away and rested his forehead against mine. “Mine. All fucking mine. Forever.”
I swallowed hard, my fingers twisting in his shirt. His body shook, and it took me a moment to realize he was crying.
“Cole,” I whispered. “Hey.”
I took his face in my hands and forced him to look at me. Tears streamed down his cheeks.
“I love you. I’m a fucking monster, baby. I’m sorry. I don’t want to be, but I don’t know how to be something better for you. I shouldn’t have fucked you like this. It wasn’t right. I get inside my head and shit just gets so fucked up. I’m sorry.I’m so fucking sorry. I-I mean it all, though. Every goddamn word. Every promise. Even though I know you love Anson, I will kill him. I will fucking kill him if he touches you. If you ever leave us for him. I will kill him, and I know that I will make you watch me do it. I know my monster. I’m fucked in the head. So sick.So sick. Please don’t make me do it. Don’t… I-I don’t want to hurt you. I fucking don’t.” His bottom lip wobbled as he stared down at me. “I would give you anything in this world you wanted, but I willnevergive you him.Fucking never.”
He visibly swallowed, his Adam’s apple bobbing.
“Do you still love me, Rosebud?”
“I will always love you,” I whispered, my heart aching. “Always, Cole.”
“Do you swear it?”
“Yes, I swear it.”
He slammed his lips against mine, kissing me hard and deep, the saltiness from his tears on my taste buds. He broke the kiss off, leaving me breathless.
“Take off your panties.”
I blinked at him for a moment before removing them. They were soaked anyway since he’d only shoved them aside when he fucked me.
He took them from me and instructed me to part my legs. I did so, letting him sweep the panties along my pussy so he could clean me.
“I don’t want you to be uncomfortable with me dripping out of you all day. While I love the idea of my come on your thighs, I know it will bother you,” he mumbled, taking the wet panties and stuffing them into his pocket. “That’s personal growth, right?”
“Yeah.” I smiled at him.
His lips quirked at the corners. “I’ll buy you new panties, too. It’ll be a good day.”
“The best day,” I said, hugging him tightly. I didn’t want him to see me cry, so I buried my face in his chest and clung to him. He held me for a long time. I think he knew I was crying and didn’t want to feel the pain of knowing he was right about Anson. He was letting me cry it out against him, and I was sure he also shed tears.
When I felt confident enough that I was done, I pulled away from him and smiled.
He reached out and thumbed a rogue tear off my cheek.
