I looked down at her to see the sadness in her pretty eyes. I didn’t care if Fox was there to witness me acting like a pussy. He knew what this meant to me, too.

“Rosebud, what can I do to make this happen? What do you need from me? I’ll do anything. I-I put twenty thousand in your bank account yesterday,” I said thickly. “I’ll put more?—”

“Cole, it’s not about money. I don’t want your money. We’ve been over this?—”

“What can I do?” I asked, my voice shaking. “Please. Tell me.”

She cradled my face and stared up at me. I was acutely aware of Fox watching the entire exchange. I knew if he opened his mouth, he’d tell me to let her decide and to lay off her. He didn’t understand it. He’d never lost his kid. He’d never been excited to have longed to hold his baby, only for the world to tear it away before you even got the chance.

“When do you want to do it?” she whispered.

I stared back at her dumbfounded. She’d always told me we’d wait. She needed time. She wanted to focus on school and her career. This time was different, though.

“Now,” I answered back thickly.

She let out a soft chuckle and pulled me in for a kiss. “We can start trying soon.”

“How soon?” I swallowed hard.

“Before I marry Enzo.”

My heart skipped at her words, and I practically shot off the bed and screamed with joy.

“Rosalie,” Fox murmured.

“Don’t fucking ruin this for me, Fox,” I choked out. “Please. Don’t.”

He said nothing and opted to go quiet. I kissed Rosalie excitedly, my entire mood shifting. We were doing this. She finally agreed and gave me a timeframe I could more than work with. It wasn’t long from now. In fact, it would give me just enough time to start getting the baby’s room together. Iwas thinking of a princess theme for a girl. If we had a boy, astronauts because space was fucking manly.

“I’ll be right back.” I pushed off her and pulled my boxers on before rushing to my bedroom. Quickly, I went through my bathroom cabinet and rifled through it until I came up with what I was looking for.

Prenatal vitamins. I’d picked them up weeks ago, hoping Rosalie would start taking them. Not wanting to push, I hadn’t really brought it up, but now was definitely the fucking time. I was going to do whatever I could do to ensure Rosalie didn’t go through hell again during this pregnancy and that our baby would be born healthy and safe.

Excited, I rushed back to Fox’s room and sank onto the mattress. I poured one of the vitamins into my hand and offered it to her.

“What’s this?” She stared at the gummy I’d held out to her.

“It’s a prenatal vitamin. I got the gummy ones because that makes them a healthy treat,” I said. “Is that OK?”

She laughed softly, and my heart jolted as she took it, dropped it into her mouth, and chewed it for me.

“Fuck, I love you.” I was back on her in a minute, my lips fused to hers and my boxers already on the floor again.

“Fox, come on,” I said breathlessly between kissing her. “I want you with us.”

When he didn’t move, I reached out and grabbed his dick.
