“It’s true.”
“Not to my folks. Being gay is the most heinous crime imaginable. Dad’s not so bad. Mum will never forgive me.”
“Forgive you?” Danny said. “Jesus Christ.”
They studied the view in silence for a while. Tyler never wanted to be released from Danny’s arms. He could still detect his scent in the still air.
“This is nice,” Danny whispered.
“It really is,” Tyler replied.
Danny kissed the top of his head. “Fuck anybody that tries to hurt us,” he said. “They can shove it.”
He fell back onto the blanket bringing Tyler with him. They laughed and kissed. Until Tyler rolled onto a tub of taramasalata.
“Fuck,” he said, springing up.
His beige shorts had a huge pink stain on the left butt cheek.
Danny was holding his stomach in hysterics. Simply seeing him so carefree instantly dispelled Tyler’s strop.
Instead he flipped the button and dropped them. He had on white boxer briefs. He grabbed some paper towels and desperately tried to rub most of the pink dip out of his shorts.
“That’s it then,” Danny said. “We’re off home.”
Tyler looked up to find a very hungry looking Danny licking his lips.
“You fancy staying the night?” Tyler asked.
Danny nodded. “Too bloody right I do. I haven’t got any tricks in my bag though.”
Tyler turned so he had his back, and his butt, to Danny. “I thought it might be nice just us.”
FIFTEEN
TYLER
They’d talked about all sorts of nonsense on the drive home. The sexual tension hadn’t gone anywhere. Tyler had cursed himself repeatedly that he’d chosen somewhere so far away.
He parked up outside the flat.
“Thank you for driving,” Danny said.
Tyler leant across and kissed him fiercely. He’d lasted an hour without those lips. After the conversation that morning Tyler wanted to seal the deal with his body.
“Let’s go,” he said.
“Are you leaving your pride and joy on the street?”
Tyler frowned. “I’m not schlepping over town and back. I have far better things to do.”
“I’m honoured.”
“Move.”
Danny leapt out then opened the backdoor.
“What are you doing?” Tyler asked.
