Page 4 of Thrill
A harassed middled-aged man scurried past them.
“What? I’m sorry, I haven’t got time. There’s been a mouse sighting in green.”
He left them.
“A lovely man,” Christine said. “Perhaps a little highly strung.”
They walked over to the common area. As it had just gonenine, there were a few breakfast stragglers. Other than that, it was empty.
“I thought we’d take a minute,” Christine said, gesturing to a table. “It’s probably a bit overwhelming.”
Tyler sat. He exhaled. “You’re not wrong. My last place was a bit old-fashioned, to say the least. This is incredible.”
Christine sat opposite him now. The happy energy she projected through her incredible blue eyes instantly put Tyler at ease. He would work well with this lady.
“They sold books, if I’m not mistaken.”
Tyler nodded.
“We sell a whole different thing.”
Tyler laughed. “I’m fully aware of that. I’ve been doing some research. Who would have imagined there was such a market for male masturbators?”
He’d made a vow to himself to show he wasn’t a prude.
Christine raised an eyebrow. “And growing. So to speak.”
“I think I’m going to like it here.”
“Good.”
“In fact, I can’t wait to get started. I planned on getting to know all the suppliers first. Then spend some time meeting the other heads of section.”
Christine smirked. “A strong plan. But that will have to wait for a week. We have much more fun in store for you.”
Oh fuck.
TWO
DANNY
“Pass me the sauce.”
Danny Healy’s younger sister, Monica, grabbed the ketchup from his hand.
“Hey,” he complained.
“Sorry, I’m late,” she replied as she squirted a huge amount on a bacon sandwich.
“Enough,” Danny’s mother, Lisa, exclaimed. “We’re not made of money.”
Monica slapped a piece of bread on top of her bacon. It made the sauce spray into Danny’s face.
“Fucking hell,” he said, wiping his forehead. “Didn’t you say you had to be somewhere?”
Monica kissed him on the cheek and sped out of the room, slamming the door in the process.
“Honestly,” Danny said. “She gets worse.”
