Tyler sighed. “Thank goodness for that. My poor fingers will barely be able to press the keys.”
Danny took hold of his hand. Instantly, shock waves flooded through his system.
“I think they’ll survive,” Danny said, inspecting them.
The contrast between Tyler’s soft hands and Danny’s rough ones was evident. Even so, Tyler would love to know what itwould feel like to have Danny holding him close. The man exuded strength from every pore.
“Thank you for today,” Tyler said, pulling away. “I’ve really enjoyed it.”
Danny held his gaze. “Me too.”
“I’d better go.”
“See you around.”
Tyler took his waistcoat off and dropped it into a bin by the rack. When he got to the door that led to the offices, he turned. Danny stood watching him. Summoning up every bit of courage, Tyler winked at him.
He was rewarded with another sexy grin.
God this man is perfection.
Reluctantly, he set off up the stairs. With his mind full of how amazing it would be to peel that polo shirt off Danny’s body, he bumped straight into Eddie.
“Shit, sorry,” Tyler said.
“My fault,” Eddie replied. “I wasn’t paying attention. Hey, how are you doing? This must be day two, is it?”
“Certainly is. I’ve been in the warehouse.”
Eddie shuddered. “That’s where the real work happens. I bet you’re done in. Fancy a pint after work? Me and Scott are going to the White Lion.”
The only other option Tyler had was going home. Honey would be murdering another Amy Winehouse classic as she rehearsed.
Although he didn’t know what to make of Scott. Danny had let it slip that he liked to know what everyone was up to. Tyler had met that type before and trouble followed them wherever they went.
“A pint sounds perfect.”
“Good stuff. I’ll get you in an hour.”
Tyler found his team. They all wanted to know how he had got on. He filled them on his day, including Stan’s hilarious jape.
“You could get him done for that,” Amanda said.
“No need,” Tyler replied. “It was funny.”
“You’ve done well,” Molly said. “Not everyone makes it to the end.”
Tyler sat down and fired up his laptop. “I enjoyed myself,” he said.
He spent the next hour going through the supplier database with a grim-faced Amanda. It appeared she had designed the system herself. Tyler could see a hundred improvements. He would keep them to himself for the time being.
There was nothing worse than new people banging on about how things were done in their old jobs and dismissing systems that had been working fine up until then. He also recognised that Amanda would certainly not take kindly to being criticised. He would have to find a different way to get through to her.
In what seemed like no time, Eddie and Scott were standing at his desk.
“Ready?” Eddie asked.
“Sure thing. Let me pack up. Hi, Scott.”
