Story: Solving for the Unknown
CHAPTER 32 VI?T
They parted after the first kiss with unabashed smiles, foreheads touching. More pecks followed—some long, some short, some kisses where Viet chased, and others he followed. He wondered, deliriously, if he would ever grow tired of her lips.
Countless kisses later, they had still not left the couch. Evie was nestled against him. His left arm was around her shoulders; his fingers were sifting through her fine, soft— so soft —hair. He could stay like this for hours. Lis wouldn’t mind an additional roommate, right?
“So you’ve liked me for a while?” Evie asked.
He nodded. “I think Kale was the first to see it. So Tate knew as well. As for Lis…”
“She did leave us alone, though she’s probably sleeping by now.” She continued out loud, “We’re in for a long discussion, I think.”
“I like our friends.”
“I do too.” She sighed, nuzzling her head as if she could dig any deeper into him, which made his heart soar.
Saturday Sins would be happy for them—Kale more than others. Should they reveal it at the next dinner? It struck him as ridiculous, the imaginary scene of them showing up and “announcing” their next step together.
“What if we play with them a little? Keep this thing a secret just until the next dinner. We can tell them then.”
“Oh, that’s evil.”
“No, it’s fun.”
Kale: sooooo?
Viet:
Kale: what does that mean?!?
Viet:
Kale: like, that makes more sense?!
Kale: she turned him down i think
Tate: do you want ice cream?
Kale: READ THE ROOM
Tate: sry maybe i should have asked Viet instead…
