Panting, I lifted my head, my eyes heavy, my neck strained. But oh how glorious a sight to see him slowly unlatch his belt and unzip his jeans for me. I was a lucky woman.
On stage, Lucas removing his clothes was something to behold. But, here, at the foot of the table, his lips glistening in the low light as he lowered his pants and took his cock in his hand, it was the most erotic thing I’d ever seen.
I tried to sit up and spread my legs wide for him, tried to get closer and lure him inside me, but the sexy arsehole just stood there, desire in his eyes as he stroked himself with a lazy pleasure.
“I swear to God, Lucas Malone, if you don’t fuck me now, I will fire you.”
He chuckled. “Are you sure that’s legitimate grounds for dismissal?”
“I don’t care. Sue me. But fuck me first, and make it worth it.”
He leaned over my body and untied my hands then gripped my hips and dragged me closer to the edge of the table, spreading me wide and pushing inside of me.
I moaned, long, low, and very fucking appreciative.
His movement was deliciously slow at first but soon increased with each thrust, my tits bouncing, our thighs slapping. And when I thought he couldn’t pump me any faster or harder, we both growled our orgasms, my body jerking with each wave of sensation that rolled over me.
“Thank you,” I slurred, our bodies slick with sweat, our breathing heavy.
Lucas slumped forward onto his elbow and moved a tendril of hair away from my eyes. “So, am I fired?”
I giggled. “No … not yet.”
Itwisted my dark brownshag into a messy bun and leaned closer to the mirror, spotting a few grey hairs. Normally, I’d yank them out or try to cover them up, but seeing as I wanted to look ‘nice’ for my dinner with Colin, I left them be.
“You don’t have to do this,” Lucas said, his back to the mirror, his arms crossed over his chest.
“Yes, I do. Because if I don’t, I guarantee he’ll cause problems for you, me, and the revue.”
“I don’t like it, Helena.”
“Well, that’s tough luck becauseyoupunched him.” I scratched a dried bit of food off the collar of my unwashed polo shirt.
“He deserved it … and more.”
“I’m not disputing that, but that punch is the reason I’m now getting ready to hear whatever it is the dickhead wants to say.” I stepped back and half tucked my shirt into my jeans. “How do I look?”
He gave me a half smile. “Gorgeous as usual.”
“I was going for unkempt, possibly even one-day-old-hangover.”
Lucas placed his hands on my arms and held me at arm’s length before pulling me to his chest. “I’ll be no more than a few metres away at all times.”
“I don’t need you to babysit me,” I mumbled into his t-shirt.
“It’s not babysitting. Think of me as Kevin Costner in that movie.”
I pulled back. “Bodyguard?”
“Yeah, that one. I’m your bodyguard.”
“No, Johnno is.”
“No, he’s mine and I’m yours.”
Chuckling at his cuteness, I gave my hair one last mess-up with my hands, the bottom of my stomach lurching over what I was about to do — sit face-to-face with the evil of my past. I ignored the retched feeling and willed myself to be strong, because I was. I’d survived the hell Colin put me through and had resurfaced from the smouldering ashes.
I was a fucking phoenix, and I was ready to stretch my wings and fly.
