Page 64 of Reid's Fixation
She texted him again.
Mila: Reid? Did therapy wipe you out? You must have been exhausted. When you wake text me okay? Or call me? Love you.
She put the phone down, a frown pulling at her face.
It wasn’t like him to not answer, especially not all day like this.
He had still never said a word from her earlier texts. He hadn’t even opened them.
And she didn’t like that. He wasn’t that way.
She bit her lip, and then started pacing in her small room back and forth.
She couldn’t think the worst had happened. He was probably just busy and had forgotten to text back.
It happened sometimes to her and she always regretted it.
But she would give him a little while to get back to her before thinking the worst.
She would probably wake up in his arms and she knew it was a possibility.
She needed to calm down, so she took a long bath, lounging in the water and reading a book carefully in the water.
Then she got ready for bed, sending him one last text.
Mila: I left the door unlocked. Come snuggle me when you wake up. Love you.
Then she went to bed in her sad bed alone.

When she woke in the morning, she knew he hadn’t come, and she didn’t know why.
She checked her phone and still had no response from him.
She sat up in bed and against the headboard, her mind racing.
This was not like him at all. Not one bit.
She called her Nana, letting her know she would be a little late this morning.
Then she got dressed and left her apartment. She had to just check on him.
It was like something niggled in the back of her head, and she just had to see if he was alright.
She drove to Grace and Brent’s house and knocked on the door.
Rhonda opened it within a few seconds, and let her in.
“Is Reid awake yet?”
Rhonda raised her eyebrow, “Reid isn’t here. I thought he was staying at your house last night.”
Mila felt cold, “No, I haven’t seen him at all yesterday. Not since he went to the doctors.”
Rhonda shook her head, “He didn’t come home. He hasn’t been here since the night before.”
Mila felt her mind racing, “Do you think he is at his grandmas?”
