Kian snorted, “Fine. I can suffer I guess.”
Reid faked a punch at him, and Kian laughed.
“So, Karalee finally forgave you huh?”
Kian nodded, “She sure did. Thank all that is holy.”
Reid shook his head, “If you weren’t such a dick to her she would have forgiven you sooner.”
Kian laughed, “You know what I told you in the hospital. She wasn’t ready. But we have made up for it.”
Kian raised his eyebrows and Reid laughed, “Thanks. I didn’t need to hear that. Karalee is like Emery. I don’t need to know either of you have sex.”
Kian chuckled, “You just got engaged. Do you and Mila not?”
Reid felt his neck go hot, “Not talking about it. Thank you.”
Kian’s eyes went wide, “You totally have.”
Reid laughed, “Not saying. Just had to come check on you.”
Kian laughed again, “Fine. I am fine. So is my girl. She saw my tattoos. That certainly helped my cause.”
Reid chuckled, “I hope so. You have had them for a long time.”
Kian nodded, “Sure have. She loves it. And I do too. I am so damn relieved she is mine.”
Reid hugged his brother again, “Me too. I hated that you both were miserable.”
“Me too.”
“We are going to have weddings close to each other though.”
Kian nodded, “We sure are. Karalee will be thrilled.”
Reid laughed, “Mila too. Those women are all thick as thieves.”
“We better be careful with all these girls.”
Reid nodded, “That is the truth.”
He left Kian and drove to the house that Brek had found for him.
It was one of the houses that had been affected in the break-ins and had caused the woman to find the love of her life after the shock.
It was a cute little house, with three bedrooms on the upper floor and the master on the lower one.
He liked the open kitchen and the open dining room.
The living room was set off to the side and he loved that there was a big fireplace in the center.
He could picture him taking Mila on the floor in front of it.
And he knew this was the perfect house for them.
He talked to the realtor and put an offer in for it and the realtor, a nice older woman named Janice told him that she would let him know by the end of the day.
He left the house smiling and needed to head to physical therapy when his phone rang.
