Page 45 of Reid's Fixation
Brek grinned up at her, and while he was a handsome man, he had nothing on Reid.
“Mila, how are you? Heard you have been helping Reid with his physical therapy.”
Mila nodded, “Sure have. He is getting better and has even been able to take off his sling now. During the day at least. He pushed it too far yesterday, but he is doing better.”
Trace smiled, “Emery has been wondering. He kind of has stuck to himself.”
Mila nodded, “He does. But he doesn’t want to bother anyone.”
Trace raised his eyebrows, “I know Emery and I have been gone on our honeymoon, but she and I both want to do what we can for him.”
Mila nodded, “I know. And I am sure he would be grateful.”
Trace sat back, “I should text him and ask, but if you have been helping, I am sure that is the reason he hasn’t asked.”
Mila smiled, “That is so true. I have loved helping him.”
Trace grinned, “It’s like that is it?”
Mila laughed, “It could be. Now, what can I get you?”
Trace laughed, “Fine, I see. Can I have a burger and a chocolate shake?”
Brek snorted behind his hand, “I want the same.”
Mila gave a chuckle, “You are both reprehensible. I don’t know how your wives handle it.”
Brek finally let his laugh out, “Neither do we.”
Mila rolled her eyes but laughed at the two of them.
“You two. Just wait until I tell Sienna and Emery.”
They both stopped laughing and she had to bite her lip. “Serves you right.”
Brek chuckled, “You are right. Good luck with your man. Really. I like Reid. And respect him very much. I can’t wait for him to join us.”
Mila touched his hand, “He can’t wait either. He keeps pushing his body to the brink to get back to work.”
Trace’s eyes widened. “He doesn’t need to do that. I don’t want to rush him.”
Brek nodded, “I second that. I don’t want him to hurt himself.”
“Thank you. I will tell him. He just feels useless. Maybe you could go talk to him?”
They looked at each other and nodded, “Can you make our orders to-go? And make an extra one for him?”
Mila grinned, “Sure will.”
Brek thanked her and she hurried into the kitchen and told Nana and Grandpa Joe their order.
Within moments, Nana had everything wrapped up and Mila walked it out to them.
Brek paid at the front and gave her a wink.
She waved at them and went back to work. Grateful someone was helping her man when she wasn’t around.
She sent him a few texts to let him know she was thinking of him and couldn’t wait to see him again.
She would count the hours down until she was back in his arms.
It was her favorite place to be.
