Damn it, she had never in her life felt this way about a man and here was the man she knew almost nothing about.
Yet, he was hers all the same and she surreptitiously kept an eye on him throughout the night.
She could tell he was hurting after the wedding was through and kept making a mess of the black dress pants he was wearing; she knew she had to step in.
He was in so much pain and she knew that when he asked her if she could help him, it wasn’t meant to be a slur or anything, but it made her blush all the same.
She had helped Ailith of her own volition and being this close to him made her have to hold in a whimper.
He was muscular and again, his cologne must have been laced with some kind of drug that made her want to jump him right then and there.
She had no idea what it was. Why she was so drawn to him, but she would find out.
When Ailith had told her about his physical therapy appointments and how they needed to find someone to take him, she quickly volunteered.
And then seeing him without his shirt at the appointment, she had to clench her thighs together and once again fought to hold in a whimper.
He had deep scars from the burns and the surgeries on his shoulder and his back was a mish mash of burns and recovering skin and she could tell that the therapy was rough on his shoulder, it took nothing away from how sexy he was. How virile.
In fact, it seemed to make him that much more handsome to her.
Like she had to wipe her mouth in a sly way to make sure she wasn’t drooling handsome.
His stomach was a solid mass of muscle and had six of those damn bumps that made girls go dumb and the ‘V’ at the top of his hips also made her want to drool.
He had certainly made up for being in that hospital bed with his hard work on his shoulder and she was just in awe.
And then? That kiss he gave her in his room? Well, she could kiss those panties of hers goodbye.
They weren’t panties anymore. Just a useless mess of fabric.
She knew that she would do anything and everything for this man, and that she could fall in love with him so easily it wasn’t even funny.
She kinda already was. Knowing just how wonderful and protective he was over his sister and his family? She was sold.
She did hate that he was hurt, -who wouldn’t hate it, - but he kept insisting it was his decision and he didn’t regret it. Not one bit.
She fell in love with him more and couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next.
