He nodded as he stared into her eyes.
“It is Olivia Claire,” she stated.
He sucked a breath in and slowly shook his head. “But she died many years ago, Bea.”
“No, we all thought that too.” Tears filled her eyes. “She is insane.”
“Yes, I knew that,” he agreed.
Bea looked surprised. “You did?”
Nodding, he squeezed her hand. “Let’s just say, I saw her true…personality once.”
Bea sighed. “I know you’re worried about your daughter. I understand that. But you need to trust Talon and my sons. They finally captured her. I think they can fix this too.”
“I’m sure they are good at what they do, Bea. But we are running out of time to make this exchange.”
“Exchange?”
“Yes.” He nodded his head. “If we don’t trade O…Olivia Claire for my daughter Glory, they will kill her.”
Tears rolled down her face now. “I’m so sorry, Jarret.”
“Mama?”
Bea and my dad looked over. We all did.
When I saw the young woman who came in, I stood from my chair as did my brothers.
“No fucking way!” Liberty shouted.
My dad’s hands shook as he let go of Bea’s hand and stepped over to study the young woman. Taking a closer look at her, he swung his stunned gaze over to Bea.
“She’s my daughter, Liv.”
He blinked and swallowed heavily. “She looks so much like Glory, I almost thought…”
Liv stared at him. “I know you aren’t my dad, but why in the fuck do you look exactly like him?”
Bea tisked. “Language, Livvy.”
“Who is he?” Liv asked.
“Your dad’s twin, Jarret,” Bea said.
Liv simply stared at him while looking absolutely stunned. “Dad had a twin?” She then looked over at her mother. “And you never told us?”
I watched Liv and now that she spoke and moved around, I could see the differences in her from Glory. But they looked a lot alike. The Walker blood won out, I supposed.
Bea and my dad looked from her to each other.
Oh, shit. Seems there must have been something in the past besides this crazy Olivia Claire woman. “We all wondered the same thing,” I spoke up.
“Now is not the time for that,” Bea stated to me and then looked around at everyone in the room. “You all have got to come up with a plan. You need to save Glory.” She shook her head. “That is what she was singing about for the last four days.”
“What are you talking about?” Dad asked her.
Shaking her head, Bea explained, “Olivia Claire. Singing Ole Glory. And Glory Halleluiah for days on end. That crazy witch had a backup plan just like she told us. She had Deacon kidnap your daughter, so we would have to set her free.”
