Page 86 of Perfect Order
I don’t get to finish the sentence before Kane drives his hips forward and pushes his heavy flesh inside me. My hands fly to his ass, digging my nails deep as I adjust to the size of him inside of me. His hips don’t move until I start to writhe restlessly beneath him. Even then he merely adjusts, keeping a close eye on me.
Finally, I snap, “What are you waiting for?”
He leans down, driving himself a little deeper when he does. I moan, my head snapping back before I whip my eyes to his. There’s a fierce light of something glowing in his eyes, way beyond lust. It warms my heart as much as his words. “You said you wanted to bite it, Crash. I was just waiting for you to get on with it.”
I surge up and take a sharp nip of his lip. “Happy now?”
His eyes glow down into mine as his cock drags back. “With you? I’ll always be happy.”
I pull his hips back into mine as his head drops. His lips become busy as he sucks first one nipple, then the other. Streaking pleasure has me tightening my legs around his hips.
Kane grunts as his thrusts become harder, faster. Finally, just as I’m about to go over, he fuses his mouth to mine. He presses his hand down onto my hip, pinning me into the mattress. And as I ripple and clench around him, I tremble when I feel him release inside.
Kane holds himself off me for as long as he can, but finally, his arms give out. Shifting his body weight to the side, we both lie there panting—perspiration dripping off our bodies. A while later, he catches my chin in his hands, and he whispers the only thing I need to hear.
“Leanne…”
Then his lips curve a sated smile at me before he drifts off. And before I do the same, I realize that whether I have a weapon or not, I’m defenseless to holding him out now.
Kane McCullough is firmly embedded inside my heart.
Kane
Who are you most excited to see perform at the Grammys tomorrow night? Brendan Blake? Beckett Miller? Erzulie? Hell, why choose! Make sure to tune in early as they walk the red carpet. We will be!

Leanne’s tucked up against me, our bodies locked together like she’s the missing piece I’ve needed to complete me. “In that moment, I felt like I’d rather have been dead right alongside of him than have dealt with his betrayal.” My voice is hushed as I share with her what I’ve shared with no one else about Gene.
She remains quiet while I gather my thoughts, but her hand is stroking my chest, continuously coming back to rest over my heart. Occasionally, she’ll shift to drop a kiss over it before relaxing back in my arms.
“We grew up together. Hell, we even shared the same birthday.”
“When is it?” Her throaty voice asks.
“January 16.”
“Right after mine. Is it too late to wish you a belated happy birthday?”
“No, considering I’ve refused to celebrate it for years.”
“Even with your family?”
I nod, my head brushing against hers. She doesn’t criticize my choice, merely says, “You know about my private celebration with Kylie this year. I’m not certain I could have handled much more.”
“Ma understands. So does my sister. I just…can’t.”
“Like you said, the firsts are tough.”
My lips curve against the top of her head. “What are you—a genius—doing listening to a guy like me?”
I feel hers curve against my shoulder. “Must we discuss that?”
“What, you being a genius?” A teasing note enters my voice.
I can practically feel her roll her eyes. “Yes. How about we leave it at I have a fondness for computers?”
“That’s like saying Mozart had a fondness for pianos. Or Beckett has a few tattoos.”
