“Your doll is named after her,” I stated, and I turned around and pointed so Aurora could see her.

As soon as she spotted her, she began shouting her name and struggling with me to free her from my arms.

“Divon!Divon! I wantDivon!”

When her feet touched the floor, she ran toward Devon who received her with outstretched arms and then hugged her tightly and covered her with kisses. They spun around embracing each other while laughing happily at their reunion. Seeing them made a warmth spread throughout my entire body. They were my family, the family I had always dreamed of, but reality turned out better than the dream. A family filled with love.

“I missed you, little one,” Devon said.

“I missed you too,” my daughter said, giving her a big kiss on the cheek.

“And I also missed Devon very much,” I said, so Aurora would get used to my displays of affection toward her, and I approached these women I loved so much, my women. “How about the three of us go out for a walk together?”

“Yaaay! WithDivon!”

“Of course the three of us will go. We’ll take a walk, have some ice cream, and then come back home for dinner and afterward to bed,” I suggested, and Devon nodded her head.

“WithDivon,” Aurora said again, tightening her arms around Devon’s neck.

“Yes, with Devon. She’s staying with us tonight,” I pointed out.

“Yaaay!Divonis going to sleep with me,” Aurora declared, euphoric at hearing the news.

“No, princess; Devon is going to sleep with me because she’s daddy’s girlfriend,” I stated, so things would be clear and Aurora would start getting used to seeing me with Devon as a couple.

“No,Divonis going to sleep with me,” she repeated, as if what I had said was something that didn’t surprise her or perhaps she didn’t understand.

“No, my love. Devon and I will stay with you until you fall asleep, but then we’ll go sleep in my bedroom,” I explained, stroking her hair, but being firm in my position.

“Your daddy is right, we can read you any book you want, whichever one you choose,” Devon said, supporting me, and that not only pleased me, it made me feel that we were going to be a great couple and great parents, because Devon was going to help me raise my daughter as a mother figure.

Aurora struggled for Devon to put her down and ran to get the book she wanted to bring.

“Will I have to compete with my daughter for your company?” I asked, joking.

“It seems so, and so far, she’s been more convincing,” she said, returning my joke.

“I don’t think so. Wait until we’re alone and I assure you I’ll be much more convincing,” I stated, winking at her and smiling mischievously, but seeing her blush, I couldn’t resist and moved closer to give her a tender kiss on the lips.

At my gesture, her cheeks turned even rosier as she looked at me completely surprised. That amused me and I couldn’t help but smile.

“This one,” Aurora said, stretching out her hand with the book in it.

“Very well, this one it is,” Devon said, taking it and looking at its pages.

I took the opportunity to pick up my daughter in my arms.

“Now let’s go for our walk,” I indicated, and with my free hand, I took Devon’s again.

We got in the car and Aurora and Devon sang a children’s song while asking me to join them, but it was impossible because I didn’t know it. They sang it laughing and even moving their bodies and arms. That image moved me; seeing my daughter so happy and having Devon with me was incredible. I felt so happy that I was afraid of waking up and finding it was all a dream.

Our destination was an amusement park and the three of us had a lot of fun, though I didn’t know my daughter had so much energy. We went on almost all the rides that were appropriate for her age. While we were walking, I took every opportunity to hold Devon’s hand or hug her and even caress and kiss her. Aurora watched us but didn’t make any comment. After the park, and given the hour, I invited them to dinner at a nearby restaurant. To my surprise, Aurora ate everything without complaint, but it was noticeable that fatigue was taking its toll because she talked less and less and her little eyes had begun to close. Devon, attentive to her, took her in her arms and placed her on her lap. I watched her interact with my daughter and my heart danced in my chest. There was such a strong emotional bond between them that it moved me so much I could barely hide it.

Aurora fell asleep on the way home and, as soon as we arrived, we took her to bed and put on her sleepwear. Devon didn’t intervene when I had to undress her and put on her pajamas to tuck her into bed; it was obvious she didn’t want to take away my role with my daughter, but seeing that the task was difficult for me and could wake her up, she offered to help me and I gladly accepted. With Aurora peacefully asleep, we left her bedroom hand in hand. As soon as we were outside, I did what I hadbeen wanting to do for hours. I took her by the waist and gently pushed her, pinning her between the wall and my body.

“I love you and desire you madly, ‘Sweet.’ I’ve been dying to be alone with you,” I whispered in her ear, then gently bit her earlobe, continuing my kisses along her jawline until I reached her neck.

“Would you like to shower together?” she asked, though I noticed her breathing was already rapid.
