"You can't get rid of me that easily.I'm your Luna.I'm carrying your heir whether you like it or not.You need me.Without me, you're just a candidate with anger issues. You want that crown? You won't get it without me."
"Oh dear..." I stood up, circling her."Whatever fantasy you're living in where I give a fuck about you or this fake-ass baby performance you're putting on—wake the hell up.This is reality. And you're not in my future."
"Y-You can't be serious, Killian."
"Dead serious," I said."I'm divorcing you.And nothing—not your bastard pregnancy, not your empty threats, not your dirty little recordings, will stop me."
Her eyes filled with tears, but I didn't care.
"You can't ruin my name, Cynthia. But I'll ruin yours so badly your own damn reflection will reject you.Don't fucking test my patience."
CHAPTER 66
Killian's POV
"Wow, everywhere is tense.Did I miss something?"
Mr.David, my lawyer, walked in with that ridiculous smile he always wore when he was about to drop a bomb. But I wasn't in the mood for any jokes or pleasantries, as if my patience had been completely wrung out.I just wanted to get this over with, get her out of my life, and go back to my baby.
Cynthia turned toward him, frowning."What's going on?"
Mr.David ignored her tone, sat down quite slowly like he had all the time in the world, opened his briefcase, and pulled out a neat stack of papers. He slid them across the table, then looked at me.I gave him a nod.
When Cynthia saw the first page, she froze. Her body stiffened as if something had crawled down her spine. She stood up abruptly, eyes darting between me and the papers.
"What the hell is this?"
"Sit," I said, my voice low and sharp.
"No.I'm not sitting.Killian, what is this?"
Mr.David's smile widened, and he turned to Cynthia."Divorce papers."
The second those words hit her ears, her entire face changed. The color drained from her skin, and she stood up so fast her chair screeched across the floor.
"What?!"
"Sign it," I said, my voice low but firm.
David placed a pen beside the papers."It's all there.Everything has been properly documented.all you need to do is sign."
"No," she said, shaking her head violently."No, I won't sign it.You can't make me sign it.Never."
I leaned quite back in my chair and chuckled under my breath."I knew you wouldn't agree to that.Which is exactly why there's another option."
I turned to David."Did you bring them?"
David nodded, adjusting his tie before turning to the security guard at the door."You can let them in now."
The door opened, and in walked Cynthia's married human mate...and his wife.
The moment Cynthia saw them, she froze. Her eyes widened while making no move to respond, her mouth opened slightly, and she stumbled back like she'd just seen a ghost.
David stood, his voice now cold and sharp."Cynthia Stone, you are being given two clear options today. These individuals are prepared to file a lawsuit against you, and I assure you, the charges will be taken very seriously in both human and werewolf court."
Cynthia was trembling, visibly shaken.
David continued, his tone even more brutal."Count one: rape. You seduced and drugged a married man against his will."
