I smiled, unable to help it.There was something about the way he said that, like he meant every word, like he was staring at the only person in the world that mattered.

Killian stood up and walked over, his hand brushing lightly down my arm as he leaned closer."Let's get it."

I bit my lip."Killian...it probably costs a fortune."

"So?"

"So, it's a gown.For one night."

He smirked."and that one night, you're going to be the most beautiful woman in that room.and every bastard who lays eyes on you will know you're mine.Worth every damn dollar."

My stomach fluttered.

While I was still blushing, Jared reappeared, guiding Killian toward the men's tuxedo section.and in less than ten minutes, he was back with a suit in hand, a sleek, fitted black tux with silk lapels and the kind of presence only a man like Killian could pull off.

"That was fast," I said, raising a brow.

"I don't need to try on a hundred things.I know my size."

Jared grinned."It's custom-tailored from our royal line.One million dollars."

My mouth dropped."One what?!"

Killian chuckled as he pulled out his wallet like it was nothing."You heard him."

I looked between the two men."Is the suit made of diamonds?"

"Nope," Killian said with a wink."But I'll be wearing you on my arm, so it might as well be."

I rolled my eyes but my face was hot as hell.I turned away, trying to regain my composure, and walked with him to the counter.

as Jared rang everything up, I couldn't help but notice the way he kept glancing at us, well, mostly at me.His cheeks were tinged red, and he looked like he was trying not to laugh.

I narrowed my eyes."Why are you looking at me like that?"

He shook his head quickly."Nothing, Luna.Nothing at all."

Killian looked amused."That obvious, huh?"

Jared didn't answer, but the smile on his face was all the confirmation we needed.

I reached for the shopping bag and accidentally brushed his hand, which only made him blush harder.

Killian took the bag from me smoothly."alright, we're good to go."

as we walked out, I leaned close to him and muttered, "He knows."

Killian grinned."Of course he does.He probably heard you trying not to moan."

"Killian!"

"What?I'm just saying."

I groaned into my hands, but I was smiling anyway.
