When we were just hours away from arriving into the city, it seemed that the Perverted Goblin had changed into a lighter gear and switched to walking to avoid drawing attention.
I should have been surprised that they could fit those three fully equipped carriages into a space bag, but after seeing their other belongings, I felt it wasn't that impressive.
Walking lightly with them, I looked at the city getting closer and thought about various things.
This is actually my second time here.
Back then, I was being pursued by the Vantinom-Bishop Branch Church and that organization for a long time. Despite that, I followed the news of anomalies and came to this Labyrinth city, Chesaatla—the stronghold of the Elemental Guardian of Flames, [Genesis of Civilization: Labyrinth of Flame].
My party members suffered as they continued to follow my lead in the situation of evading the church pursuit. This was one of the reasons I temporarily left my party membership. In their injured state, my presence would only lead them to their doom.
Digressing, the magical power in this labyrinth is unusually surging, and creatures from the lower layers of the labyrinth seem to be influenced by something, running to the upper layers... etcetera, anomalies. When I first came to this city, I originally wanted to investigate, but people from that organization suddenly appeared, forcing me to follow a hunter group and continue eastward, arriving at the Teigitan Kingdom, ending up in my current situation.
It seems that the Perverted Goblin and his party members don't really intend to leave the common people to their fate, which is something I'm elated about. My evaluation of the Perverted Goblin has improved quite a bit, as for how much.... Probably from -20 to 0?
Let's talk about something else. In the days traveling with Perverted Goblin, I've gained various perspectives.
Let's start with [Party] that the Perverted Goblin belongs to, the [Dog House], this name was something that they just came up with when I asked about their party name.
The Party's Class composition includes [Magi-Archer], [Elementalists], [Magi-Spearman], [Villager], and... [Martial Artist - Wing Chun]? At least that's what the Perverted Goblin said to me.
Although the composition of this Party is extremely peculiar, the strength and potential they possess are astonishing. Each member has outstanding characteristics, and I've observed this during our time together these few days.
Take Goblin's legal wife, the [Elementalists] named Grace, for example. Despite her young age, she holds the title of [Black Dragon's Mage] and possesses a terrifying amount of magical power. Although she's not as skilled in magic as Sasha, given a few more years, she could surpass Sasha's abilities. Keep in mind that even a genius like Sasha only reached her current state in her fifties.
Next is the [Magi-Spearman], Princess Derisha. She's someone who has the rare [Magic-Warrior Dual Class], she also has enough strength and skill to defeat my brother, which is commendable in itself. She is also the [Vassal of The Water], and personality-wise, she gets along well with me, being straightforward and without pressure. Her identity is quite unique; she is the second princess of the Teigitan Kingdom, and although it's quite unusual for someone like her to marry someone like the Perverted Goblin, I won't dwell on this point too much.
Usually, individuals with exceptional [Magic-Warrior Dual Class] encounter a problem as they grow, where their weapons can't withstand their magical output. They end up accommodating the weapon's limitations. My younger brother, who wields a large sword, faced a similar situation before obtaining the [Flame Dragon Greatsword]. If I didn't have the [Holy Silver Weapon - Rapier], I might have faced a similar dilemma. However, Princess Derisha's weapon is exceptionally unique, but I'll discuss that later.
The third person is Aurevia, the [Magi-Archer], nicknamed "Barella." She is an elf archer with a full set of [Elf Weapon]. The luster on her equipment far exceeds anything I've seen before, even Sasha's elf staff [Frozen Chill] pales in comparison to these items. I can't understand how she achieved this. Is it possible to train in the process of [Elvenisation]?
...During the few days I spent with her, she overturned all my previous perceptions of elf archers. Multiple sets of Elf Weapon? I know there's a legend about an elf hero that can wield multiple Elf Weapons, but she seems too young for that, not matching the legend's description. Not to mention, she can fly in the sky. Many mysteries are hard to unravel.
She is the most guarded person in [Dog House], not in the way the Perverted Goblin is, but she treats me with excessive courtesy, a noble and elegant strangeness. It's somewhat off-putting, but she gets along with others quite normally, and it's very evident that she is in love with the Perverted Goblin.
Perhaps she is from some noble lineage? It's noticeable in her actions and words. People of this kind usually tend to be annoying, but she's tolerable.
As for Melon, the [Martial Artist - Wing Chun]... whose race is that of a Lizardkin, this girl has the class and combat style I've never seen before. Initially, I doubted if she could unleash her full potential without weapons, but after training with her, my opinion changed.
Her punches and kicks contain strange powers. A seemingly ordinary punch, without any magic, suddenly produces attributes like burning or freezing magic attacks. Forget about flames, but the so-called ice attribute usually only appears after the transformation with water attribute magic [Transmutation". Normally, one would need advanced water attribute magic proficiency to achieve this. How is she doing this without any chanting or magical tools?
In addition to this, she can somehow inject magic into an opponent's body, disrupting their magical operations. This is a devastating blow to opponents reliant on magic. She can also create powerful impacts with her fists and palms upon contact with the target. Imagine if she knocks the opponent's weapon away, forcing them to fight her in the way she excels.
Perhaps, she is the most formidable opponent for humanoid races like humans and demi-humans.
However, this unique person is the Perverted Goblin's slave.
When I first heard of this, I felt strongly repulsed and wanted to free her. However, after observing her interactions with Goblin, it seems less like a master-slave relationship and more like she is also a member of his harem. Maybe this master-slave thing is some kind of special preference of theirs? I'm glad I didn't clash with them because of this.
Finally, there's the Perverted Goblin himself, the [Villager]... If the others were full of mysteries, this person can be considered a mystery in itself.
How was a [Villager] able to stop me, a [Hero]?
Why does a [Villager] have a level as high as 88?
How did he create those strange equipment? And where did those ideas come from?
"..." I casually extended my hand, gathered the light, and formed my exclusive weapon.
The [Holy Silver Weapon - Rapier], a sacred weapon that are made to rival the Hero King Greatsword in mind that only I, as the [Female Hero], can wield—the name of the Holy Rapier is [Oathkeeper].
This weapon was created when I became the Hero, and the power of the goddess resonated with my soul, creating this holy weapon weapon. However, it was damaged during a battle with the leader of that organization... It suffered severe damage by absorbing the "explosion" capable of destroying an entire town.
The damage to the [Holy Silver Weapon - Rapier] signifies damage to the power of light and the soul. According to past records, this kind of situation can only be repaired with the help of the goddess's power, which is impossible now as the goddess is currently asleep. I once traveled to many places, stubbornly refusing to give up, but ultimately had to abandon the hope of repairing it.
...But he casually completed this task in a place with no forge.
Last night, lending him [Oathkeeper] was purely to pique his interest... I didn't expect him to repair [Oathkeeper].
No, it's not just a repair. I can feel that [Oathkeeper] is no longer just [Oathkeeper].
Just holding it, I can feel a pleasant, faint sword hum from the spirit within the sword, resonating deep in my soul.
My rapier is repaired by using [Orichalcum steel], the thing that Derisha weapons are made of, and now, my [Oathkeeper] is the same.
Thinking about what he said when he returned [Oathkeeper] to me yesterday... What did he call [Oathkeeper]... X Curry Stick?
...Maybe that phrase has some special meaning.
Since this weapon is no longer just [Oathkeeper], let's call it [Oathkeeper — X Curry Stick] from now on.
Maybe 0 points were too stingy; let's go with 1 point.
Before entering the city gates, I couldn't help but smile, and at the same time, my goal in my heart changed.
It's no longer about trying to lead the Perverted Goblin's companions to the right path but acting based on a vague premonition.
For someone like me, who can glimpse into the future as the [Vassal of The Light], premonitions have always been my guiding principle.
...Regarding the person in front of me, I have a vague premonition that one day, he will become the key to changing the world.
I can only hope that it's for the better.
