(Walson)
Generally speaking, due to my past as someone from the modern world, I adhere to a principle of not killing other sapient creatures.
However, there are exceptions to everything, especially when Melon and Grace are on the battlefield with me. In such cases, as long as it's to keep them safe from harm, I won't even hesitate to commit countless amounts of unspeakable horror.
"OOO, OOOO, OO—argh!" The incantation of an unidentified magic spell was interrupted midway, as the person who was about to cast it was unable to speak as the iron bar that I threw at him shattered his head.
I have no interest in the special abilities of the people present or why they became skilled operatives of the shadows.
I only know two things: first, you are the red dot, and second, I'm going to shoot you dead with a single shot.
Boosting my attack power to its utmost, the weapon that can turn even fish monsters into caves, the barrel of the [EX-ARMA], emits smoke and sulfur like the breath of death. Every roar is a judgment of the hunt.
In my field of vision, I can see a reference point as a crosshair, greatly enhancing the accuracy of my shots as a [Villager]. Coupled with the powerful bullets of the [EX-ARMA], I don't need to consider any trajectory issues at short distances. As a result, the situation that should have surrounded us has turned into the encirclers fleeing from the barrel slaughter.
I can use my ability to directly load iron bars from my [Inventory] into the interior of the [EX-ARMA] without using my hands. Although this shortens the loading process, the [EX-ARMA] still has its cooldown time. They noticed this point and would always attack immediately while I was loading.
However, I have two very reliable girls.
"...OOO, OOO—[Magic Rail Rifle]!" Grace's gun-like magical structure fires chaotically and indiscriminately, deterring the black-clothed individuals from advancing recklessly. But in reality, we are not in a better position; the enemy's long-range attacks are also varied and unpredictable.
"[Wind Spear]!"
"[Crimson Bullet]!"
Magic attacks without any incantation assault us relentlessly. Abandoning her attacking structure, Grace sets up a magic barrier...
It's no joke; the incantation-less magic has left several cracks in the barrier. If we continue to endure such attacks, we won't last long... However, the enemy's magic users don't have the luxury to focus solely on casting spells.
Continuous explosions chase after the enemy magic users. At this moment, Melon constantly advances with a series of punches and kicks, while the enemy's melee fighters attempt to hinder us, only to be pushed back by Grace's magic and the [EX-ARMA].
With a situation of three against ten, the battle is evenly matched, but this delicate balance is on the verge of collapse, and the buildings have been shattered by countless stray shots.
"[Shadow Sever]!" In the cooling-off moment, a vulnerability emerges. The black-clothed wielders of dual daggers are consumed by darkness, transforming into pitch-black long blades slashing towards us. However, Grace has no intention of blocking that attack.
Because in the next second, the wall is bombarded into a burst of rubble, and one of the black-clothed figures is bitten by a huge wolf, torn apart, and then flung far away.
"Walson! Are you okay?" The person sitting on the back of the giant wolf, a golden figure, joins the battle with rotations, leaps, and exploding skulls!
"Howl, woof, howl, woof, howl, woof, ooh!" The giant wolf echoes her words, howling a few times.
My most reliable confidants and partners, Barella and Rifle, have arrived!!
"... Why are you so late?" Grace doesn't turn around, just responds. Two sword-wielding black-clothed individuals are pierced by the [Shadow Spear].
"Good afternoon, Miss Aure." Melon captures a magic user and offers her a hefty "ton" of blows.
"Ah— I'm fine, I'm fine," I said.
I never expected that they would take the risk and come to save me.
"Thank you..."
"Well, let's talk about that later. It's not over yet," Barrel shook the [Apache] in her hand, its enchanted sheen mixed with bloodstains, creating a bizarre scene.
Our reinforcements have arrived, but so have theirs.
On the [Mini-map], countless red dots are converging towards us from outside the building, and the red dots on the lower level are concentrated below us. Explosions of light burst from beneath our feet!
"Be careful!" I couldn't help but shout, but it was drowned out by the deafening roar of the collapsing ground.
To think they'd use this move!
As I descended, I saw two figures sweeping towards Grace and Melon, but I had no time to worry about them because another dark figure was rapidly closing in on me in midair.
Suspended in the air, the [EX-ARMA] fired, but I saw even more red dots approaching me aggressively through the blood-stained water.
Then, thunderous thunderfall.
I was blown away by the sandstorm I stirred up, my vision hazy and covered by mist. Finally, I tumbled into a pile of rubble, experiencing a momentary shock in my consciousness... I entered a state of spiritual lingering.
Above my field of vision, a red bar seemed to appear, a health bar of sorts... But my eyes felt like they were covered with a layer of gauze, and I couldn't see anything clearly.
"Finally found you! Are you okay? Are you injured?" In a daze, I heard someone calling out, and the mist gradually dispersed. The blood bar from before seemed to have been a mere illusion.
A pair of black leather gloves came into my view, and as my vision cleared again, I saw a tall woman.
Tan skin, silver-white hair tied up in a high ponytail, leather jacket, hotpants, and boots, with a crown as her hair ornament.
Her right eye shimmered with golden flames, and that radiant smile.
"Dumb Princess?"
"Hey! Is that how you greet someone after not seeing them for so long!?"
