(Walson)
I held a small mirror taken from my inventory and quietly looked at the situation through the reflection coming out of the mirror.
What I see is the sight of a young man, he is approximately 1.75 meters tall and if the mist didn't cloud my vision, is around 25 years old, the muscles on his body made him look very imposing, the fact that it's filled with scars from numerous battles also boost that assumption.
In my previous world, a man with this kind of stature would have looked intimidating, but in this world, he appeared to be just an ordinary adventurer. I would often see people like him in the public bathhouse I visited occasionally in the capital city.
The man was sitting quietly by the wall, about ten meters away from me. He reached out and activated the magic device on the wall, causing hot water to pour down, washing his body.
Although this person seemed ordinary, the prominent red dots on the [Mini-map] repeatedly rang alarm bells in my mind.
Is it possible that he only poses a threat to someone else instead of me?
No, that's not right. If it shows up as a red dot, it means it poses a threat to me. The [Mini-map], which has helped me gain the upper hand countless times in dangerous situations, doesn't make mistakes.
I turned my head slightly and glanced at him.
[Gustav_LV61_HP: 2701/2701_Title: None_Status: Normal]
...His level is terrifying.
Although my level is not low, compared to other classes, the stats growth rate of a [Villager] is too small... Should I immediately summon [ARMA]] and blast him away using that? No... that would reveal my trump card, and I don't want others to know about that weapon.
Should I stand up and walk out immediately? Or should I scream to attract attention...
It probably won't work, right now, a festival is happening outside, there is no way my scream would be louder than the noise that is coming from the outside.
Steam rose from the hot water pool, and I shifted my gaze back to the mirror in my hand, covered in a thin mist. The man's figure was nowhere to be seen.
Did the man leave yet?
The [Mini-map] disagreed with my thoughts as I casually flicked my hand at the stone wall.
"!!!!!!"
The weight pressing against the stone wall disappeared, but within this steaming mist, I couldn't see his figure at all.
No, it's not that I couldn't see, but that I couldn't catch up with his movement speed.
The red dot on the [Mini-map] moved through the bathhouse at an extremely eerie speed. I couldn't see it, and I couldn't even hear his footsteps.
It circled shortly in the air, and then the red dot suddenly rushed at me from behind, but even such a moment was enough for me to react.
The current situation doesn't allow me to hesitate in my action, because with the opponent's speed, I will surely be attacked if I hesitate for even a second!
I couldn't even confirm what kind of weapon that man is using, because of that, it's become my top priority.
Once again, I threw something from my inventory, but this time it wasn't a defensive stone wall; rather, it was a large glass window.
"Clang!" Countless shards radiated outwards, and I held a thin wooden board to block the incoming glass. I saw the muscular man covered in glass shards.
There is a surprised expression on his face. In his hand, he held a small dagger. Below the waist, the man was in nothing but a towel.
Out of a sudden, he disappeared, and a small bird swiftly soar past me among the glass shards.
Then he disappeared, seemingly using some method to assimilate with the surrounding mist, but in front of the great [Mini-map], there was no escape!
I watched as the little bird that wanted to fly straight slipped and flew out due to the slime's slippery inertia.
Thunk! It looked really painful.
So who the heck is this guy!? Why did he suddenly attack me!? And does this guy not feel pain!? Is he really immune to pain!?
Despite receiving some damage from constantly falling and hitting walls, the red dot kept its speed, appearing and disappearing from my eyes. The only reason why I know it's still here with me is due to my Mini-map.
If I continue to waste time here with him, I'll eventually run out of building materials!
And you, little potted plant, how can you sleep so soundly in this situation? I truly admire you!
The red dot strikes me again!
I summon a stone wall, but it fails to stop the attacker. Then I see it, in that instant of impact, it evades the stone wall at an extremely strange angle, passing by me, and finally, the red dot stops by the poolside.
I try to turn around, but I find my steps faltering.
My waist hurts... I look down and see a strange purplish-black wound that had been slashed open without me noticing when. My field of vision becomes blurred.
The words "Paralysis Toxin (X)" appear in my status bar. I collapse at an angle, and when I regain consciousness, I've fallen into the hot water.
My feet lose sensation, followed by my back, and finally my hands...
I see a pair of bare feet walking through the bloodstained water, staring at me.
Those eyes send shivers down my spine... a chilling and cruel coldness that penetrates me.
"Before you pass out, let me ask you a question. Why did you notice my camouflage?"
"..."
"If you don't answer, I'll finish you off first." The person raises their hand, the blade of the dagger gleaming, and crouches down.
"Because..." I stare at the knife tip, which is less than an inch away from my right eye, and reluctantly speak.
So this is what total paralysis feels like.
"..."
"Because..."
"Because your underdeveloped dick is so eye-catching!" I burst into laughter and spring out of the hot water!
The red-hot coal leftover from roasting meat with Barella earlier is now held in my gloved right hand, making a sizzling sound as I stuff it into the place where his dick was!!
I swear, that was the most pitiful and tragic scream I've ever heard since being reincarnated.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!"
Suddenly, the man that was attacking me disappears, and the red dots also vanish from the minimap. Did that man use teleportation magic?
Pondering this, I spit out the broken soil shell from my mouth.
One of the things I made out of boredom during our journey finally comes in handy—a small pellet filled with milk potion.
Since everything within a five-meter radius is within my control when I take things out of my inventory, it's not a problem to move the milk pellet from my inventory to my mouth without using my hands.
In this situation, all I need to do is bite into the soil pellet.
Thanks to Steve's healing abilities, the wound on my waist has already healed.
"I better leave this place quickly," I say while surveying the wreckage of the bathhouse. I wrap myself in a towel and walk out of the bathroom.
