I wiggled into a more comfortable position, my upper thigh and ass brushing over his prominent erection. I stilled, heat flooding my cheeks as I stopped all movement. Noah’s hand moved to my hip as he leaned forward. “It’s okay. Relax, little omega. I won’t do anything untoward.”
“Untoward.” I almost scoffed out loud. Who said things like that anymore?
“Well, isn’t that just a sight?” Lucas seemed to be in a better mood because he grinned like the Cheshire Cat. “Bridget, you’ll look so beautiful riding Noah like that. Next time, you’ll need to be naked, of course. I can’t wait to see what that gorgeous ass looks like as it moves up and down on our alpha’s cock.”
I felt my whole body turn red. Pretty sure there was steam coming out of my ears as I squeaked. My stomach clenched as a fresh wave of arousal flooded through me and soaked my panties. Now, the whole room could probably smell my slick.
James slapped Lucas behind his head, rubbing the bridge of his nose with his other hand as he sighed.
“Why, Lucas?” His voice was strained, but amusement laced his tone. He shook his head, but a smile twitched at the corners of his lips. “Why must you always tease her?”
Noah’s arm tightened around me, and I could feel his chest pressed against my back, moving in silent laughter. His nose brushed up my neck, and goosebumps ran along my arms. I had to squeeze my thighs together, and my breath hitched. This was not helping me calm down and get my hormones under control.
Focus. I needed to focus. The website. I needed to show them the surprise.
Noah, reading my mind, grabbed his Mac and scooted it closer to us.
“I’m quite pleased you have a Mac,” I remarked as I fished my phone out of my pocket. “Let’s me do this a lot easier.”
I tapped at the screen, and in a few moments, I was able to get to the proper website by sharing it from my phone.
Technology was the best.
“You’ll have to show me how to do that later.” Noah kissed my cheek and took great care not to interrupt or jostle me.
I nodded, a small smile appearing on my face. I loved being helpful.
Being needed.
My back straightened as I typed more commands into the builder to show them the test site I created.
“Before I arrived, I studied your website whilst on the plane. It definitely doesn’t do your ranch justice.” I wrinkled my nose as I remembered the old site. “It was outdated and difficult to navigate. Not to mention it had no good pictures of the property or cabins. We want to increase occupancy, which will get a steady cash flow coming in.”
Lucas and James moved to stand beside us, and gazed down at the laptop screen.
“So when I got here, I started building you a new website. One that will also allow people to make reservations and is hooked up to a system we can use to let them order food, make payments, and let us know which rooms need to be cleaned for checkouts. It’s a pretty cool system.”
I paused to look over my shoulder at the guys, trying to gauge their reactions. They stared at me for a moment, eyes widened as they looked back to the computer screen.
“You did all that?” James asked awe injected into his words.
“Yeah,” I replied tentatively and nodded.
Oh god. They hated it. I’d overstepped and completely fucked everything up. I was so fucking stupid.
I tried to scramble off Noah’s lap, but he held me tighter, wrapping both arms around me. “Why are you trying to leave?”
“Because you hate it. I’m sorry, it was a stupid idea.” I closed my eyes and clenched my fists, trying not to relax against Noah, but it was almost impossible as his purr intensified.
James was suddenly there, turning the chair we were in and dropping to one knee in front of me. He took my right hand in both of his and squeezed it.
“Bridget. Look at me.”
There was power behind the words. Alpha power.
My theory had to be right about him.
“You did something amazing. You started doing it before you even knew us to be your future pack.” He brushed my hair back from my face as Noah’s purr soothed me from behind. “Do you know how incredibly kind and sweet that was of you? Not just anyone would start going above and beyond for strangers they hadn’t even met.”
