“On your knees, all of you!” I screamed. Every single one of them started to bend the knee, getting down on the ground with their hands in the air. I looked back at the nearest couple of soldiers to me and said, “Take their weapons and put their face in the dirt.”
The two listened, going from person to person, taking their weapons out of their hands, and forcing them down onto their stomachs, so they were laying flat with their noses against the pavement. A fairly massive number of confiscated weapons was piling up, and I was seeing dollar signs. They had good shit, and it would sell high once all this was over.
Just as my two soldiers were finishing up disarming all of the others, a line of trucks pulled up, and Vincent hopped out of the front one. He came rushing over to me and wrapped his arms around me, then looked over at Antonio and his jaw fell open.
“Holy shit,” Mario said, having climbed out himself. “Is he dead? Did you kill him?”
I swallowed hard. “Took advantage of his stupid ass villain speech.”
“Hell yeah!” Annie said, running over and slapping me on the back, then she leaned in and muttered. “Dude, you look kinda badass right now. All these soldiers behind you, all these other ones kneeling at your feet. You look like a crazy dictator or something.”
“Are you okay?” Vincent asked.
“I’m okay,” I replied. “I think I’m probably supposed to be in pain, but the adrenaline is helping with that.”
“Sascha?”
“Inside with my mom. I don’t even think she realizes what’s going on,” I responded. “I took care of it. Don’t worry.”
He gave me a dark look up and down and a shiver ran down my spine. “I won’t. You’ve clearly got it.”
“Devrick,” I said. “Can you deal with them? They’ve seen our home, and who knows what else they were instructed to carry out by Antonio. I wouldn’t even waste your time interrogating them. Just roast him.”
Devrick nodded with an impressed grin on his face. “Yes, Mrs. Costello.”
Vincent kicked dust at the deceased Antonio’s body. “And get rid of this shit too.”
“I’ll take care of that,” Mario said. “Annie, can you deal with Taylor?”
She nodded. “Yeah.”
“Taylor? What’s wrong with Taylor?” I asked.
“He took a shot to the back on our side of this little trap,” Vincent said. “He’s okay. He’ll be out of commission for a while, but he’ll survive.”
I let out a sigh of relief. “Thank god.”
“You guys got this?” Vincent asked. “I need to go see my son.”
Devrick nodded and waved us off. “Go. We’ll take care of it.”
“Thank you,” I said.
Vincent and I walked back behind the gates and climbed into the golf cart that I had driven down there, with him driving, and we started making our way back towards the property.
“What happened?” Vincent asked.
“He just showed up. I got the notification from security that he was here, and I saw white. I know you wouldn’t have approved, but I had to do something about him, Vince. I couldn’t just let his trail of terror continue.”
Vincent shook his head. “I’m so proud of you, and I gotta tell you something.”
“Yeah?”
“I told a little fib. I didn’t want to get out of there to see Sascha, I mean I do, but we have to deal with something else first,” he said.
“What’s that?”
Suddenly, he took a random turn, driving us straight into the woods. Leaves were blowing through the car as we drove over what was left of the autumn leaf fall, before he finally came to a stop well within the cover of the trees. He reached down and undid his button and zipper, quickly pulling his dick out of his pants, which was the hardest I’d ever seen it. I looked up at him and his eyes were wide and intense.
“Driving up and seeing you in control like that…” He growled. “I need you. Right. Now.”
