“Too many,” I shot back as I chuckled then flinched at the pain it caused. “It doesn’t matter. We will find out if he’s using a SAT to track us.”
“But what about you riding around with this injury?” Scarlet stared at me. “I can see that you're in pain right this minute.”
“I’m fine,” I said casually.
“Yeah, until you start to bleed again,” she countered.
“She’s right,” Ranger rendered his opinion.
“So, he and Scarlet will break off from our convoy and head to the ER,” Talon suggested as he looked over at me. “You need to see Dr. Robins.”
“And what if he’s not there?” I asked.
“He’s always there.” Talon shrugged. “Plus, I will call him to be sure he will be there.”
“Why him?” Liberty asked.
“Besides being the best MD I know of, he is highly aware of our war,” Talon said. “There won’t be any cops called or anyone else called because of your bullet wound.”
“And after that?” Scarlet asked.
“Liv and I are already working on something,” Logan came over the comm. “If we find his SAT tracking us, we will disable it.”
“Wow,” I exclaimed. “You got governmental encryption software?”
“I’d rather not answer that,” Logan replied.
“Yeah, I get it.” I smiled.
“Well, I don’t,” Liberty said. “And I don’t mean about the software but what do we do after Justice gets fixed up?”
“I’ll call you when we know what’s what,” Talon replied. “You will also have guards. Some will be with you and others will be watching over you.”
“Ok, so let’s go,” Liberty said.
“What about me?” Belle asked as she stepped up next to the truck bed.
“You have to stay with us,” Liberty answered, then he gave her a wink.
She shook her head.
“So, more holding onto my brother?” Liberty looked over at Ranger.
“Why yes, Lib,” I answered this. “You always stick by me, right?”
He rolled his eyes. “Byyou, not like up and personalwithyou.”
Chuckles sounded from all around.
“I’ll be the driver,” Dagger volunteered.
Ranger nodded. “I’ll ask Tank to come.”
“Already here,” Tank spoke up.
Belle looked over at him and her eyes rounded at the size of the man. “You are like your name!”
Tank smiled. “The name says it all.”
