Duncan reaches over and strokes my hair back over my shoulder. “Don’t take it personally and give him a chance. Once he gets to know you, he’ll thaw.”

“It just didn’t seem like he’s happy about us.” I gesture to the three of us.

“If we’re happy, he’s happy. And we’re happy, very happy.” Zane grins.

“He worries things will get messy, that’s all. Like it did with Pippa.”

My ears prick up at the mention of that name and I open my mouth to ask about her but Duncan cuts across me.

“Seb’s older than us. Sometimes he seems to believe he’s responsible for us all.”

I saw that at the river. The big alpha appeared to carry more than the boat on his shoulders. And there was an energy around him, as if he was the glue and the bolsters holding the pack together. Maybe that’s why his gruffness had upset me so much.

Zane changes the subject after that, making us laugh when he recounts a disastrous encounter with a patient who’d been unwilling to divulge his complaint.

By the time we get to the dessert, I’m relaxed and content again, surfing high on the ripples of their scents.

“We got you a gift,” Zane says as I sweep my tongue over my spoon, intent on devouring all of my chocolate mousse.

“You don’t have to keep buying me gifts,” I say without meaning it. I’m loving every ounce of attention from these men.

Onto the table, Zane slides a black box with a neat silver ribbon tied up in a bow. His eyes flicker with wickedness. “It’s not exactly a selfless present. It’s as much for us as it is for you.”

I throw him a suspicious look and tug at the bow, expecting to find lingerie inside. But when I lift the lid, I find two small objects crafted from black silicone resting in black tissue paper.

I stare at them.

“Do you know what they are, wee yin?” Duncan whispers, leaning in closer and squeezing my thigh under the table.

“I …” I have a fair idea, but I’m too embarrassed to say in case I’m wrong.

“These are anal beads,” Duncan explains as he points to a row of spheres, “and this is an anal plug.”

“Have you ever done things via the backdoor, sugar?” Zane asks, his gaze hot on me.

“Only what I did with Duncan the other day.”

“Would you like to do more?”

My eyes spring to his. There’s unbridled lust in his eyes and that look has my skin blazing.

“Yes,” I whisper. “I want to take you both at once.”

The alphas’ scents flair and I can taste their arousal in the air.

“You’d like that, Omega?” Zane asks, his voice thick with lust too.

My cheeks are on fire and my underwear wet. These alphas like to play with me, to tease me like this, and fuck me if I don’t love it.

“We’d be gentle,” Duncan reassures me, “and we’d go at your pace. But if–”

I bite my lip for effect and stare into each set of alpha eyes in turn. “I’d like to try.”

Zane growls and I feel it deep in my gut.

“What do I need to do?”

Duncan’s jaw is tight and his scent piqued. He doesn’t wear his emotions on his face like Zane does, but I know he’s just as turned on, just as pleased by my response.
